“MY SECOND QVC LINEA SHOW, SEPT. 2000”

…………….My second show for QVC was a fall show in SEPT. of 2000. I remember loving this collection. There were so many beautiful items……..Starting with the picture at the top left of the chart was a big shirt, and below it a maxi skirt in a burned out velvet that was then over printed…..next was a cable front wool and acrylic sweater in peacock, fuchsia and purple…..next a fun funnel neck sweater in the same wool blend. The banding on the sleeve was in a contrast color and the INSIDE of the funnel neck was in a contrast color. The funnel neck was wide and loose enough so you could see the different colors.. Next was my first pig suede jacket. It was bordered in a contrast color and it had contrast suede scroll work appliqued  on top…..look at the pics at the bottom left. Next was a pair of pants, but I don’t remember the fabric…..on the SECOND ROW, the burn out velvet skirt….next a silk charmuse tunic shirt that was dip dyed….The top was lime and the bottom olive….the top was Fuchsia and the bottom deep purple….the top was peacock and the bottom was a dark grey…..these three shirts were beautiful and in REAL SILK!…….Next a SILK charmuse classic darted shirt in fuchsia, purple, peacock and lime. I showed these under everything….a great layering shirt…….Next was a fabulous jacket. It was in a QUILTED SILK TAFFETA. The turn back cuff and the under collar were in contrast taffeta colors. The combos were peacock/lime, olive/peacock and fuchsia/dk. purple…..There was a scarf in the burnout velvet…….and next a long skirt, but I don’t remember the fabric…..it could have been in the wool blend sweater knit or suede…..maybe the pant was suede and the skirt in the sweater knit….that would make sense, but I don’t remember!……..That was my first year at QVC!,

I am so glad to see the products from your early shows. I looked up the number of the skirt and it was still on the qvc site and it said it was 82% rayon/18% silk. Lining 100% polyester. Dry clean only.. I am waiting to find what was the first Linea garment that I purchased. I always loved your jackets and I confess that I bought one jacket 3 times in the same size and color. The third one I returned after hanging my jackets by color, so when the third one came I realized I already had 2. That shows how much I like your clothes and how much I have! Yikes. Now I look up the item number on the order status so I won’t do that anymore. I hope I am not the only one to have done that. I wanted to send you a link to my nephew singing O Holy Night on his YouTube channel. I know you and my Linea friends would really enjoy it and it is uplifting in these difficult times, but I do not want to send it and violate the purpose of the site. So if you want me to send it, just let me know.

Thank you for all of your beautiful clothes. I have the white blouse with turquoise flowers. The green suede jacket with turquoise scroll work trim. It still is beautiful. The long skirt and button front tunic length blouse (on me) in green and turquoise with turquoise lining, they are both the burnt out velvet, next I think I bought the coats one black another a jade or emerald green both with embroidered flowers down the front, down the sleeve and around the bottom of the coat in different colors. They are the most beautiful thing I have ever owned. I also bought a matching green turtleneck sweater and I think I have a matching green pant. Sorry, they are packed away, I have lost weight since. I looked like a million dollars. Just love that coat. Looks brand new to this day. Just beautiful. Thank so very much. And embroidered linen jackets, embroidered sweaters. And so many more. Thank you for all the years of happiness you have given me and will continue to give me.

Those CLOTHES. I STILL have that pig suede jacket in my collection in the chocolate brown with the blue trims; it hasn’t aged a day, unlike me. It was all I could afford out of that collection at the time as we had just moved from Philadelphia to Annapolis the previous year for my husband’s job at NPR, and money was pretty tight. I loved everything, but this was a piece I could wear to work as well as every day. How 20 years has flown.

    Louis,
This collection is beautiful. I didn’t find QVC until 2008 and first discovered Linea in 2009, so I missed out on these collections.
Looking at your sketches and how you put together the complete outfit for each of your models got me to wondering how long your regular models have been with you.

Wow, Louis! I don’t recall any of these pieces which means I had not yet discovered you on QVC. Also, in 2000, I was working on a lot of deals in Europe and would not have been able to see you on TV while traveling. One of my earlier pieces from you was a sequined tank–only the front was sequined and the neck and armholes were done in bugle beads. Do you recall that? I still have it and it is in fine condition. I took it to Paris when I moved there in August 2004–so it predates that time. Sheila

Wow for this collection. Someday perhaps you can tell us how you choose your colors for a collection? Do you start with one and build from there? We’re all ears (and eyes).
