“APRIL WHISPER KNIT SNEAK PEEK #1”

I know many of you have been patiently waiting for me to post the NEW WHISPER KNITS. The first style is A229715, THE CLASSIC CARDIGAN. As I have explained before, these will be sold “ON LINE ONLY”…..the same way I sell the jewelry. However, I will be “showing” them on models whenever I can…..for example….if I am selling a blazer, pant or skirt, I will put one of the new sweaters with it so you will see how they look on. I do think the “sneak peek” photos are very accurate. The colors may be slightly off, but you can’t help that with pictures. I can only say they will be just as good or better than what you will see on the Q Linea web site. ……….There will be ……………..6 STYLES…………in 6 COLORS…..for a total of …..36 OPTIONS………..I call these colors the “FIESTA COLORS” and they are…………………LIME…………..AQUA…………HOT PINK…………NECTARINE……….NAVY………….BLACK………All six styles will be in these same six colors…….The cardigan above was styled after the……….A217628 cardigan……..so…….if you were pleased with the fit and look of that cardigan, you will be happy with this new, extremely similar version! Likewise, if the original cardigan did not work for you, this probably won’t either. The length of this cardigan for the XS is approx. 26 1/2 to 27 inches. For me this is an ESSENTIAL, SEASON-LESS PIECE. ….to be collected and saved. You already know the virtues of Whisper Knit………….how soft it is to the touch, how well it washes and wears, and how well it packs. These are like POTATO CHIPS……….you simply can not have ONE! Remember, all of the other pieces will come in the same colors, so you can have sets if you like…… mixing the colors is great fun [aqua with lime, navy and nectarine, black and hot pink etc.]………. or use them as accent pieces. The sweaters will be avail. sometime in MID APRIL……I do not have an exact date for on line only products. Previewing them early will give you plenty of time to decide how you want to match and mix them……make a chart with the styles along the top and the colors down the side and check off which colors you want in which styles……this may help to give you an overall picture of what you are planning. I will suggest………..when the time comes and they are avail for purchasing…….don’t wait too long to order…..I have a feeling they will be gone quicker than the FISH PENDANT…………….LOL……………….enjoy………….much Love……………..Louis

Wow! I am really in “trouble” with these newest Whisper Knits…but trouble in a good way. My wardrobe has really needed some redoing and this spring it’s getting it a la Linea items. I really love all the colors but know I have to at least narrow it down to two (maybe three) colors. Thank you for these beautiful items. (Just got the new cardigan colors and love them.)

If you have to be very selective…..I would suggest dropping the black and navy…..you probably own black and navy sweaters already….Go for the color….I will always do black and navy, but next year I will want to offer new colors…….unless you really need a new black or navy sweater set.

      1. InStitches49

That was exactly how my list came out…the black and navy colors at the bottom as you suggested. The colors just “pop” and make an outfit so much more vibrant. Now all I have to do is choose the style or styles I want. Decisions, decisions, decisions…fun decisions definitely!

THANK YOU LOUIS, for more gorgeous WKs and…… HOT PINK! Love the HOTTEST of pinks and FUCHSIAs. I’m smiling as I type out the color names.
Quickie question….. besides the scarves, which I know are coming, would you ever consider doing fabulous toasty warm (outdoor) winter jackets… possibly with down or heavier wools? Just a thought as I sit here in my office in the norther burbs of Chicago freezing my tootsies off!!!!!! Thanks again. Sending hugs your way.

I have to ask……are you a transplanted New Yorker? NYC1 and your in Chicago??I would love to do some outerwear, but you have to have the right factories that specialize in that type of clothing, and since it would be an item here and there, it is very hard to get a well made well PRICED garment with such lower commitments. They doesn’t mean that I won’t try………just a lot of hurdles to jump for one garment.

Louis, I own your beautiful black button front coat from this year and my favorite little black, double-breasted wool-blend peacoat with gold buttons, from several years ago (and it still looks like new). So you keep jumping those hurdles, cause your outerwear is to die for!

I’m loving the colors of these sweaters! And I’m thrilled you did sleeveless v-necks. Definitely buying multiple styles in black (I can’t help it, I work in NYC), navy, orange and pink.

Louis: How apropos – We welcomed in the Vernal Equinox this everning with a feast of fajitas & pitchers of Gold Margaritas! And for my dessert – this wonderful sneak peek of the Fiesta Wk’s (coming very soon)! You chose a great palette of colors for the Season. I live & play in White skinny jeans all summer – I’ll be purchasing multiples to mix & match. Love WK’s – beat knit for wear/care on the planet. Thank you Louis. I’ll be Spring skiing in Banff on April 4th, but will tape your shows!

    UR the BEST………..! Buenas Noches.

    1. Pamela in Anchorage

beat = best (before knit – on – the planet) darn typos!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Sounds like fun…be careful……..the show is on the 3rd, not the 4th so don’t tape the wrong day!

      1. Pamela in Anchorage

Calendar now reads April 3rd @ 4 PM. Thanks!

  4. KK

  5. Shari

    NOTHING ELSE TO SAY.

  6. Barbara in Virginia

Hi, Louis! I realize they won’t be the same dye lot,, but is this navy a match for the Whisper Knit tank in navy from last spring? Thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I used the same standard and they are made by the same manufacturer, so they are pretty close.

  7. Waterbaby

    Louis,
We have all be anxiously awaiting these beauties. The button up cardi in aqua, black and lime along with the coordinating Vnecks are going to come home to me. Can’t think of anything more perfect for spring, summer and fall in Atlanta and for September in Italy! Bless you, Fran

  8. Becky (lazylei)

  9. Yvonne Shafer

Louis, the WK cardis are coming home to me in all colors! Can’t wait to see them in person!

  10. Maria (Goldie 76)

    Dear Louis,

These are absolultely yummy looking! Aqua cardigan for me.

NOW ABOUT THAT FISH PENDANT, WILL HE SWIM UPSTREAM AGAIN?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No news on the fish…..I’m sure they are waiting for the return % to come in.

      1. Shari

I simply CANNOT imagine anybody returning this gorgous piece of
        jewelry.!!!
I have worn them often. Get many compliments.
        Hoping for silver! !

      2. Goldie 76

I bet that percentage will be low. The fish bracelet arrived today. What a lovely piece it is, Louis. One can wear it as a delicately done piece without any hint of its having something to do with fish. For those squeamish about fish, this bracelet is a beautiful, shiny and alluring piece that gives no hint of anything fishy. It simply looks like a cleverly designed bracelet when worn alone.

Do hope I can get the fish pendant someday.

        1. Goldie 76

Let me clarify what I wrote above. If the bracelet is part of the suite, you know it is fish-affiliated. It is a series of fish bones. However, if worn alone and an admirer knows nothing of its origin, the thought of fish is not the first thing to come to one’s mind.

I am so sad. I waited for the fish necklace. I ordered at midnight. My order was lost in the usps system. I am so bummed as there is no waitlist. I hope the power that be will reorder.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I am hoping too. I know they are waiting to see the return percentage.

Thanks Designista! I missed out on that cardi but with 32 FIVE star reviews, was there anyone for whom that cardi didn’t “work”? 😉 I’m loving the length on the cardi!

Louis, these fiesta colors are looking like some of them could work with last years beautiful floral boho skirts as well, perhaps, as with the paisley boho from the previous season. And as a contrast color in the colder season with such things as the fawn cardi and longer pencil skirt set for example. And I’m just getting warmed up! Wait til I get these home and the party begins when can REALLY play with them!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I guess there were enough women who returned the original because it was just over the limit to be reordered….even though they were totally sold out. The wait list ate them up.

  12. Kate

    Navy. Black. Pink. Orange.

    So exciting!

  13. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Louis, I guess I’m the early bird and just saw your posting come up on the highly antitipated Whisper Knit pieces – first option the cardigan. You note that it is fashioned after A217972 but that item number at QVC pulls up the following:
A217972 Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Fly Front Slim Leg Pants. Must be another close number.

    1. Kate C.

What a great sneak peek! I just received my first Whisper Knit piece, and I am in love. Sign me up for an aqua cardigan, to start! I’m looking forward to seeing what else is in store.

    2. designista

The Whisper Knit cardigans I have are A217628 if that helps.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

You have the correct number……..now I know why I was such a terrible math student…..I continually see and write the numbers either backward or totally wrong…..that’s why Jac does the bills!
