“APRIL 2011”

………………………CHEETAH was a major theme for April 2011. There were three styles in the same print…..a cotton “safari” blazer, a poly jersey print v-neck 3/4 sleeve top and a printed elbow sleeve sweater…..Two very important shirts were introduced…….”The Kate” shirt in my signature cotton. A men’s styled shirt made for a woman, and the safari crinkle georgette shirt with the tank reordered and reordered for years…..The poly/rayon knit sleeve top in sage, black and ivory was a fun summer top. It had three sizes of hand sewn brass discs down the front. A great top with white jeans…..The faux de chine shirt dress in Khaki, Olive, Aqua. In addition to the new there were four reorders, the blazer, the cotton S/S shirt with the sheer yoke, the legging and the floral jacket.

I think I have been an Animal Print lover since I was born! have the Animal Print Top in every color—Tan, Perfectly Pink, Blue and the Grey that was a reorder–there may have been even more colors–if there were, then I have them. I have the Jacket in Tan, Perfectly Pink, and Blue. Why I don’t have the SS Cardigan I’ll never know. It must have been sold out before I could grab one.

It was at this point that I truly became a “Linea Lady.” Never — ever! — was I an animal print enthusiast. To set the record straight, I loathed animal prints. Something about your Cheetah print reeled me in, though. At first I bought the one with the tan background, but then I returned for the remaining colors. What a flattering fit that top had! Comfy and flattering. Plus, the Cheetah print was subtle.

If I recall correctly, I was able to speak with you on air about my love and change of heart regarding animal prints. It was close to the Summer months and you were presenting new items as well as reintroducing items presented earlier in the year. You had a few of the Cheetah tops left. Your fans were invited to call in and let you know if they liked the top, and I did. Of course I let you know that you changed my mind about animal prints. (You did the same thing in regard to clothing with lace, too. Now I adore my Linea lacy tops.)

You were your usual jolly self with me when we spoke.
