“THE RAIN TRENCH COAT”

………………I really can’t remember when a TRENCH COAT didn’t show up on one or another of my collections…..there was always a demand for them, and since I loved trench coats it was my job to come up with one that looked relevant, and made sense with the rest of the collection…….The cotton denim fabric was treaded with a rainproof clear shiny coating to keep you dry…….A RAIN TRENCH COAT was the answer to my question on what to offer for Resort 1992……It had the gold “signature” hard wear buttons. Jasmeen is wearing it over a navy rayon knit unitard made in Italy………The knit was fabulous!

Louis….I love your trench coats and am fortunate to have several. It is fun to see the varied interpretations.

Last night I made your sausage, potato and cannellini bean dish. I had to use sweet italian sausage and diced russet potatoes instead of new potatoes.I cooked the sausage first then removed it from the pot. I put the onions, garlic and halved cherry tomatoes in the pot to cook next, then made a sauce using a dry rosé to deglaze. Next, I added a little chicken stock and and the thyme and rosemary, pinch of red pepper flakes, a bit of corn starch slurry, balsamic vinegar reduction then a splash of heavy cream. I put the sausage, cooked potatoes and cannellini beans back in and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. It was SUCH a hit. I told my husband where I found this dish. He asked asked “What is this called?”. I told him “Dell’olio Delight”!
Thanks to you and Cathy. This one is a keeper.
