“THE NOVELTY FABRICS FOR RESORT 1992”

………………..I am a lover of FABRIC….Almost every design I have EVER done in my entire career has started with the fabric! I searched every corner of Europe and went to some pretty remote factories in search of beautiful fabrics…….The two jackets above are prime examples……The Check on Christie, and the End on End fabric on Jasmeen  was from a company named Torello Viera located in Northern Italy in the Biella region….It is more than 100 years old, and is still producing beautiful fabrics today…..At the time it was a very exclusive company and only had a limited amount of customers. It was a relatively small mill in comparison to others, and their production was also limited hence the exclusivity it afforded. Armani was one of their main customers. It was actually a men’s fabric company, but for me, and others, their fabrics were perfect for women who loved a tailored look.

I too love fabrics and I love your tailored jackets. I used to look through Vogue designer patterns and a couple of times I made a tailored jacket. It’s a lot of work. I appreciate all that goes into making a tailored look and felt your designs were made for me. I was so delighted that I could by them on QVC, but sadly no more.

Me too, Louis-ME TOO! I have a long-standing fabric addiction. Walking through bolts of fabric is akin to a stroll through a beautiful garden to me. My sewing in years past was my justification for all my fabric purchases. I can’t imagine all the beautiful fabrics you have seen.
