Rain rain beautiful rain….we need it so badly. I love rainy days

………I know there are areas of the country that just the word rain brings terrible fear….they have had historic amounts, and don’t want any more…..Then there are areas of the country, like the west where they are praying for rain to elleviate the horrific heat and the devastating fires! Here on the north east coast we have been living under such severe water restrictions that everything is dying…I don’t even know if we will have a fall certainly…..not a colorful one since all of the leaves are drying and falling off the trees…..Now we are getting two days of blessed rain and no one is complaining…..Maybe my lawn will become green again….If you still don’t believe in Global Warming….you have buried your head in the sand….WAKE UP TO REALITY!
I moved from the West where there is an Exceptional Drought. I changed to desert landscaping years ago. During the pandemic, we had zero rain for over a year. Last summer we had 10 days of 117 degree weather. It was one reason I moved to PA this spring. The other was to be near my child & sibling. In spring, it was raining here regularly 2-3 days per week. However after a dry summer, we’re now on a Drought Watch. At first I wondered if I brought the drought with me, and now I wonder if yards here will be replaced with desert landscaping within a few years.
