WOW!!!!!!

What more can I say……….THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for making me look good, while I hopefully make you look good too! Those were two fabulous shows, and I really enjoyed working with Amy and again with Shawn, she is a hoot…..and I’m telling you…..smart as a whip…….We were amazed at how well the shows did…..don’t get me wrong….I had high hopes they would be successful, but this was beyond the beyond. When I saw them bringing the ponte knit dresses, which were supposed to be OLO, to the rack…..I thought OH NO….I don’t even have them styled…..and then I saw marvelous Kate ….and of course I remembered….I had styled the dress under the suede as a “SNEAK PEEK”….thank goodness Ed, the stylist . had Kate in her look to sell the suede jacket!!!! So she just came out and sold the dress instead! Poor Jac……or maybe lucky Jac, only did half the show, because many of her “looks” sold out before she even put them on!……….It was wild, and everyone was a buzz after the show………….thank you ALL so much…………I only pray….that when you get them home, you are as excited as you all were last night……Remember………..Please!!….if there are any packing wrinkles, because we all know how beautifully they are sent, steam them before you try them on……you will have a much better impression…….and for those of you who bought the slim pant…..when you try them on, wear theĀ  shoe height you intend to wear….Your STANCE WILL makeĀ  a difference…..and the bottom of the pant really should not have a BREAK……Long, Lean and Slim is what you are after…………………………ENJOY….ENJOY………….lots of Love…………………Louis

Louis, your august show designs were a tour de force. I loved everything! I purchased the suede jacket in walnut, the ottoman jacket and skirt in spruce and black, the asymmetric jacket in caviar (caviar pants on waitlist), the camel pants (black on waitlist), the violet turtleneck, the walnut V-neck, and the black ponte knit dress. I have now received everything except the waitlist pieces (fingers crossed!). After trying everything on I have to say “Wow, yourself!”. Everything fits to perfection and looks and feels so expensive, so chic, and so sophisticated. The colors and the fabrics are amazing. I am beyond pleased and impressed but not surprised because I have come to rely on you for excellence in fashion. Like Mary, I feel you and Jac are friends who care about your Linea ladies. Also like Mary, you have made a big difference in my life.

The show was fun fun fun! I just wish QVC would invest a little more in your line and bring us bigger quantities since things so often sell out.

Kudos on your show and your well deserved success and thank you!

Louis thank you so much for the wonderful items! I was so looking forward to your shows and I wasn’t disappointed. Of course I was up at midnight placing my orders so I could sit back and relax during your shows but of course once you were on-air showing us how to accessorize your styles I had to keep ordering. I am not embarrassed to say that there is not a day that goes by that I don’t wear at least one item from your Linea line and I ALWAYS receive compliments. Thank you for having the only clothing line at QVC for women who still like to dress to go to work. Your clothes are amazing.

  3. Ann/Snicksters

Louis…WOW is so right! Cogratulations on your well deserved successful shows. The QVC boards were buzzing with excitement during the shows, excitement for you and for ourselves. I hope you and Jac have had or are planning a celebration of your wonderfully exciting shows.

  4. Judi

Louis, there are not enough words to thank you for the magical hours of your Fall offerings. Exquisite clothing, beautifully accessories, your expertise, knowledge, good humor, the professionalism and energy of the hosts, and of course the dedication and work of Jac and all the models made these hours the best in Q history.
I’m looking forward to receiving the beautiful items (and will be sure to post reviews).
Thank you and a heartfelt congratulations to you and Jac!
    Judi

WOW!!!!!! Right back at you! Many thanks for your photo collages, they made all the difference. The Q only had half of their photos up when ordering started. Lots of love to you and Jac. We’ve come a long way from Linea being cancelled from QVC…sometimes the good guys do win…it’s like a John Wayne movie.

  6. Mackenzie

    P.S.

I should add that I’m also very thrilled for you! You deserve all of the accolades because you are the best designer of them all!

  7. Mackenzie

O.K., Louis. It’s established that we all love you. Now I have a bone to pick with you–only 600 of your Ottoman jackets? Sell out quantities of your new whisper knit sweaters, (including walnut)? I’m happy for all of you who got on the bandwagon in time, but all I got was a bunch of wait list orders! (I was at a luncheon and lost out even though I excused myself to make a secret call to QVC during the 1:00 ET hour!) I should have known better-your fall shows are always the best because that’s when you bring your best classic jackets.

    Sign me,

    Licking my wounds

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mackenzie..PLEASE don’t be angry with me…..The buyers have a budget for Linea and 600 jackets was what they could buy. I think that’s a paltry amount too….but it’s not the buyers fault either. It’s a terrific jacket and hopefully it will come back next year…..but keep checking…..some always come back.

    2. Kate

Mackenzie, the clothes for September will no doubt be just as stellar. You might consider joining those of us who order at midnight, day of the show! It’s not the best option, but it works!

      1. Mackenzie

Thanks, Louis and Kate! That’s a great idea!

  8. Sox (Barbara)

We had such fun on the live thread, Louis! And I agree that the look on your face was priceless when you were looking off stage to see what was coming next, in view of all the sell-outs.

I’m a fan from the old Anne Klein days … so many jackets still hang in my closet; one in particular — the tan/red plaid, with detachable belt — is still one of my favorites.

  9. Pamela

    Hi Louis!

Please know I was there to share your moments of elation during the Prime Time Show.
It was an magical & exciting hour of sell-out after sell-out @ rocket speed. Congrats on a job well done. The fashions & styling were simply amazing. I raised my chilled glass of Prosecco in your honor several times – LoL.

It will be Nirvana when my Linea packages arrive……..Thank you.

  10. maggie

Wonderful shows!! I bought one of each color of everything, I am so excited!!! Everything was just perfect! I realized I am 99% all Linea in my closet, I have been collecting for 3 years now, what a pleasure to have such nice things, and everything goes with everything else! Thank you so much for all of your things, I love the way I look in them!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Maggie….that’s great. I am so happy to hear you are enjoying your clothes!

  11. Waterbaby

    Louis:
Congratulations on such a successful day. We Linea Ladies had a ball and I am thrilled to say that in addition to the new WK cardis and tanks (all colors!), V-necks in 3 colors, T-neck in the new violet, the seamed jacket and slim pants in both camel and caviar and the Topaz and Sprice OTO suede jackets. Whew!

Your WK and feather jersey will go with me to Italy mid-September and the suits and other WK will go with me to London for Christmas!

    We’ll have a great time!

Much love to you and Jac,
    Fran in Atlanta

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Fran…..what a traveler! Christmas in London…..how Charles Dickens is That!

  12. Sherry

WOW!!!is right. That’s the most fun I’ve had watching QVC in a long time. LOL I don’t have many pieces of fall/winter clothing that fit me right now, so needless to say I did some shopping yesterday. Can hardly wait for my goodies to get here. Sounds like the Ponte Knit OLO group will be something that would fit right into my lifestyle. I have the striped dress (LOVE), and I ordered the new Ponte dress in topaz. Just so excited….absolutely love the fall/winter season and the clothing that goes along with it. Love it when the weather cools and I can put on clothes again. LOL Congrats Louis on the sell outs….maybe the Q is starting to see what an asset you are to their bottom line. You certainly are an asset to my bottom line…LOL Can’t wait for my goodies and the next round of sneak peaks. Thanks to both you and Jac for sharing you with us.

  13. Sheesh

Congrats to you, Louis….and let’s just say “I bought the farm”—but in a GOOD way! I have no plans to buy the Spruce Ponte Dress and the Spruce Suede Jacket—yet somehow it’s on its way to me—LOL—I’m going to do it with wine hose and wine shoes after seeing color on Kate. What a show! By the way, there were some good shot of your face—looking at someone off camera—and you looked stunned and positively giddy at the same time! Too cute!

As a fashion maven ,I eagerly look forward to seeing the designs, styles and explanation of new fabrications. I am a fabric junkie. It all starts there.
But my smiles come when I see the maestro look pleased like a little boy when we gush over his genius and real understanding of the female. A very sweet face or a little shuffle of the feet tells me he is happy. TOO CUTE INDEED.

  14. Catherine

Louis, as a fan of older Eileen Fisher and Dana Buchman pieces I was so excited to see the growth in the whisper knit collection and the new ottoman rib pieces. I am one customer who will always be there for the better fabrications and higher quality knits. I really hope you to continue bringing similar items in the future. The collection was superb – from the color palette to the silhouettes, to the sneak peaks of upcoming items. Congratulations, you deserve it.

  15. Rebecca

Thank you, Louis and Jac! I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed my previous Linea purchases, and I have just started on the whisper knits! I have a new job in a new city in a new state (I wore scrubs for over 25 years and am building my new professional wardrobe), and I almost feel as if I am creating a whole new “me” who will be nicely attired in my Linea beauties! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have enormous respect for your talent and passion and look forward to what is coming.

  16. Chris/Jazzmom

All I can say is that was the best 11PM show ever!! My ponte knit dress in black and Small came today and all I can say about that is: I’m in love!!
This is one fantastic dress that follows my curves with grace!! Thank you so much for all you do. Bring on the OLO ponte knit collection!!

    Regards,
    Chris

WHAT A SUCCESS!! You certainly deserve it. Does this mean you can make larger quantities?! Nothing more annoying than trying to buy within a budget then having what you want gone in a week. Good for you, bad for me. Can’t wait for September! Thank you Louis!

    1. Carol

Yes, I wonder, too, if there is anything in the wind about upping quantities or getting a jewelry show. From our side of the TV screen it seems there are too many clearances of other lines and not enough brand new goodies coming from Linea.

Baby steps, I know. But Linea babies wanna run!

  18. Carol

Wow is right! I am only sad because I know how much work you put into preparing for the show and to not be able to see all the ways you style the clothing due to sell outs is disappointing. I have a picture in my head of what it must have been like backstage! I do appreciate a better showing of the ponte dress. I was a little puzzled about what size to get, and seeing on a live model really helps.

So enjoyed the shows and can’t wait to get my beauties home. I won’t bore you with a list of what I bought, but let’s just say that the list of what I didn’t buy would take up less space. Bring on the sequin skirts!

Louis, All I can say is WOW also!!!! I’m a retired RN and volunteer in a medical clinic twice a month, the patients and staff say I’m the best dressed Nurse they have ever seen. Thanks to you, I enjoy getting all dressed up in Linea to go to work, church or just anywhere.
I got both pant suits(cavier/camel), marled top/skirt, several Wks, two of the suede jackets, burgundy tie blouse and several clearance items. I’m ready for Sept.!!

Louis you are the Man!! Thanks Jac for sharing him with us.

  20. Yvonne Shafer (2greys)

Louis, you continue to bring exquisite design and quality to your devoted fans! Thank you for the sneek peaks, the vivid descriptions, and styling all the outfits from top to bottom to us! I’m so happy the shows were so successful!

  21. Debbie M.

Congratulations! The sellouts are a testament to your immense talent! It is a pleasure to go hog wild over your creations!

  22. md891

Thank you Louis for the SENSATIONAL shows!! I have been a huge fan of yours since your Anne Klein days (and still have old VHS tapes of your fashion shows to prove it!!)…I have six WKs on the way as well as the caviar and camel asymmetrical jackets and all three petite pants…that camel suit on Jac was SMOKIN’ HAUTE!!!!!! Cannot wait to receive everything and can’t wait for more sneak peeks. The fact that you take all the time to photograph and explain everything ahead of time is a testament to the love and pride you have in your work, and believe me, it shows and we couldn’t appreciate it more. Congrats!!!

  23. Quendiva

You say it all the time: “Who wouldn’t want to look like THAT?” Apparently we all agree! Beyond the look, it’s the quality and value of Linea that I have not found anywhere else. Special love to you from us plus size and petite ladies whose selections are so very limited elsewhere.

  24. Somersault

Fabulous, fabulous shows!! Amy and Shawn were great in the presentations. Shawn was wonderful in saying that the show was going to be sold out! It is a tribute to you and your designs. All those sneak peaks you give us, helps tremendously ahead of time and makes such a difference because all the QVC photos are horrid. All your styling and tips makes it so much easier for us. Thank you so much for taking the time, loving what you do and having such pride in your work. It is truly appreciated. Congratulations, you certainly deserve it!!!!

  25. Mary

    Dear Louis,

Congratulations – Well done. It was so much fun. It’s interesting to hear what it was like on your end. Both shows were great, Amy and Shawn did a wonderful job, especially Shawn considering everything was selling out and you had to keep readjusting. I bought the asymmetrical jacket and all three colors of the slim leg pants. Appreciate the advice about the length with no break.

Thank you for your kind words on air about knowing your customers. If I ever bump into you and Jac in NYC, I’m going to have to restrain myself from hugging you like dear friends, because that’s how I feel. You’ve made a very very big difference in my life.

  26. Jules

Louis, thank you for the extraordinary pieces you brought us. Even though I’ve been collecting your clothes since the beginning and have never been shy about it, I had to get the fire extinguisher out for my credit cards this visit. Can’t wait to get the new WK pieces as well as the Ottoman and Asymmetrical jacket as well as all the pants. As you know I live where it is HOT so the fact that I keep buying your jackets, (I forgot I bought the suede one too in topaz lol), is a testament to the originality and beauty of each new piece. I’m almost afraid to see what is coming. A big Congratulations on all the sell outs. They were well deserved!
    Jules

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Jules….I really have a strong feeling you are going to love the “Ponte Knit”, OLO group. It i so right for your climate, and the pieces can really be casual or easily dressed up.
