NEED YOUR INPUT ON COLORS!

HELLO EVERYONE……by now your packages should be showing up….at least I hope so. I also hope all of your expectations have been met and exceeded!…….NOW….I need you to forget fall for a moment and remember it’s still summer. I always appreciate your input on color suggestions for POSSIBLE reorders…..so I’m going to ask you once again for your color suggestions on POSSIBLE reorders for next spring/summer:

1-A233182, the button front ponte knit jacket & the A233183, ponte knit draw string skirt. The color has to be the same for both pieces

2-A233187,  the asymmetric hem button front tunic

3-223652, the lace button front jacket with patch pockets

4-A70208, the Boho skirt

5-A221808, notch collar blazer with front pockets

Again….these may or may not be reordered, but I want to be prepared………thanks, Louis

    Hi Louis,
Please consider a khaki color for the ponte jacket and skirt!

  2. Kate C.

The ponte knit jacket and drawstring skirt are amazing! Please do them in gray or something in the bamboo/taupe/mushroom/camel family. I will buy them, for sure.

  3. Trish Healy

Please do A-233183 in a lovely charcoal grey also for A-09484 both of which I have in multiple colors. The charcoal grey is wonderful for fall and seriously needed in my wardrobe. Also, what about your berets? Would buy at least 2. My suede topaz jacket arrived Tuesday which I absolutely love. Thank you for continuing to contribute to my wardrobe with such quality products in my xxs size. I have been a loyal fan since college graduation, 1970! Best regards, Trish

I am so glad I found your home page. I was trying to find what color Cadet blue was/looked like and found your home page. God Bless you for asking what we think.

1-A233182, the button front ponte knit jacket & the A233183, ponte knit draw string skirt. The color has to be the same for both pieces- Your pink or blush; mocha or mushroom, and bone (which to me is not a cream but is white with a greyish hue), Cadet blue or Midnight blue rather than navy.

2-A233187- I never saw this one as it sold out very quickly. It appears you had Aqua, White and Black? I also read some of the reviews and as many were using as a swim or beach cover up, I would go with brights. Yellow, Fuschia, Apple Green, and Cadet blue or Midnight blue in addition to the previous colors

3-A223652- Midnight blue with white trim; Hemp with white trim, Black with white trim, Hemp or mocha with black trim, white with black trim, blush pink with white or black trim, white with navy trim, navy with white trim. AND design in put if I could be so bold; not so straight up and down. Please make it a bit more form fitting OR do another top/jacket that is similar but reworked, V-neck, longer length, but only an inch or two, nothing that hits right at the crotch, that length is not good on anyone, has to be higher or lower. So to go lower or longer, take it really long and make it a lacy fitted tunic jacket, that hits mid thigh. But again semi-fitted. I know some women look good in loose fitting clothes, but many of we larger sized (anything over a size 10) don’t. I will just speak for myself right now, but I look bigger, like I have gained 15 to 20lbs. I have been at this for years(I am 60, but 60 is the new 40, right?) This is why all my clothes need structure otherwise the tops/sweaters/jackets flow over my bust and hang. Not a good look for me. I know I am being very selfish for this little bit, but it is not often I get a chance to express my thoughts on clothing with an actual designer. Thank you so much.

4-A70208- Apple Green, Bone, Aqua, Fuschia or bright pink, Midnight blue, Cadet blue

5-A221808- Apple Green, Bone, Blush pink, Midnight blue, Cadet blue (match the new color’s of the boho skirt.) Plus I find many of these colors can translate into fall especially for those of us who live in the warmer climates of the southwest. We want to dress for fall but it stays warm out here well into November, so if we can mix and match, we can dress for fall without having to deal with clothes that are to hot and sometimes to heavy for our weather.

Again, Thank you kind sir for asking us what we think. God Bless You.

    Mrs. C

I would be ecstatic if you would consider my two color suggestions. Burgundy, though not the versions that I have seen on QVC recently.I would love a rich rosy, cherry tone without any hint of yellow so that it becomes more of a brick or reddish brown color.
Secondly, a violet or purple that is NOT a red violet as has been overdone in the past.I would love to see a blue violet in whatever value you could manage to acquire. These colors can also be used as neutrals for someone like me who loves color. They also are great complements for black and the classic neutrals.

  6. Belle Femme

Sorry for the typos! (asymmetric, not assymetric; would not woul)

  7. Belle Femme

With respect to the items you inquired about, Louis, I would be interested in:

The assymetric hem tunic in black, please! It sold out before I could get it. I have the turquoise and white, and they are wonderful. I think it would be beautiful in a coral color too. Would love to see a coordinating tank to wear under these too.

I’d like the notch color blazer in black. I have it in ivory, navy and red.

I don’t own the ponte knit jacket and drawstring skirt but would consider trying them in black or navy.

I have the lace jacket in black but it’s a bit too short for my long torso, so I’ll leave that to those reordering that jacket. I’m not a boho girl, so I’ll skip on that too.

    Thank you, Louis!

1-A233182, the button front ponte knit jacket & the A233183, ponte knit draw string skirt. Dark sweatshirt gray, such as this summer’s smoke. Can be paired with brights, such as last last year’s fiesta colors, pastels or neutrals, such as sand, hemp and white, for a traditional beachside look.

2-A233187, the asymmetric hem button front tunic. An ivory that’s not too yellow, or bamboo. However, the asymmetrical hem trend has been around for several years now, and might look very dated by next summer. I find fads usually have a three year lifespan, at most.

3-223652, the lace button front jacket with patch pockets. Taupe with the same ivory/brown trim. A salmon tank underneath would look beautiful. Again, next summer might make the last year for lace, as it would be the 3rd summer since it became “hot” again.

4-A70208, the Boho skirt, dove gray, again to match with bright tanks or a neutral such as hemp

5-A221808, notch collar blazer with front pockets, the color you call chino or bamboo, which spans 4 seasons and isn’t represented in the line in classic pieces often enough for me. Again, pairs well with summer brights, jewel tones, animal prints and neutrals, so every woman can wear the color.

    Thank you for asking!

1-A233182, the button front ponte knit jacket & the A233183, ponte knit draw string skirt. The color has to be the same for both pieces

    4-A70208, the Boho skirt

Would love a dark greige — or taupey/grey — whatever ya want to call it .. lol … against the edging I think it would be terrific …

I think both would be terrific and great toppers for so many items and summer dresses!

thanks as always … Amy aka LacyLass

  14. Pamela

Dear Louis, How sweet of you to ask. I DO hope these two WILL get Reordered.

A221808 Crepe Notch Collar Blazer: True Camel & (return of) Ivory for year ’round wear
A233182/A233183 Ponte Jacket + Drawstring Skirt: Red & Navy for Summer nautical looks + your beautiful Aqua AND(return of) Black & White – I need backups. Open to ALL color really; that skirt is a jewel.

Speaking of color, your new ‘Malachite’ captures true essence of the natural gemstone that give this rock it’s beautiful chatoyancy. Lovely shade of green that plays so well with your Limoges Blue. Upon our trip to Saint Petersburg, Russia; we toured the Winter Palace (part of the Imperial Hermitage Museum). The sight of such grandeur within those walls of the Malachite Drawing Room will stay with me a lifetime.

Special Request for Fall 2014 – A233940 Linea WK Vneck Cardi in Spruce Green, please, please with all the sugar you want! Plus an Open Invitation to Dinner @ my house – LoL, don’t have me arrested for bribery!

Have a great weekend – GO PLAY!

ANYTHING in Ruby and/or Chili Pepper …

    Thanks for asking 🙂

  18. Andrea

I know you are referring to the long boho, but so many of us who are short couldn’t buy it but now have the shorter boho with the pleats on hem. I got black and purple, would love to see a bright (like chili pepper) and possibly an olive.I do not wear them in the summer so I wouldn’t want fiesta colors. I love the short one;even though I tailor obsessively (my late uncle had an important job in a men’s wear co name you’d recognize and made custom suits)the long boho just seemed too expensive to have shortened.

Since you know what colors did the best in the long boho, perhaps you could give us short women (and I suspect some taller ones bought them also)your suggestions.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Andrea, unfortunately the buyers did not request that skirt as a reorder.

  19. 2E

You’re always so thoughtful to ask for ideas from your Linea Ladies, and we appreciate the chance to be part of the conversation!

A221808, the Notch Collar Blazer, is a real favorite, and would love to see it in Malachite, Violet, Turquoise, and Black, all with the gold buttons.

  20. Carol

What fun! here’s my wish list:
1-A233182, the button front ponte knit jacket & the A233183, ponte knit draw string skirt NAVY or RUBY

2-A233187, the asymmetric hem button front tunic NAVY or BAMBOO

3-223652, the lace button front jacket with patch pockets MOCHA or IVORY

4-A70208, the Boho skirt FUCHSIA or MAGENTA

5-A221808, notch collar blazer with front pockets CAVIAR or PEWTER or DOVE GRAY

Can’t wait to see what you choose. I like all of these styles very much!

  21. Judy S. in Mass

I’d love to see the lace jacket in navy, and also in the new dark teal color. For the boho, how about some of the fiesta colors — orange, lime, fuchsia (I missed this one from days gone by), aqua? I missed the ponte jacket in lapis when it was first ordered, and would love to have that color come back. You are so kind to ask!

  22. InStitches49

Not being specific with item numbers, but I think more in your wonderful true navy and also a medium to dark gray would be great in some of the skirts and jackets. Also, I have fallen in love with the walnut color or anything similar in a dark brown.

  23. LauraL

3-223652, the lace button front jacket with patch pockets – I would love white or ivory with the tan gingham check

5-A221808, notch collar blazer with front pockets – I would love a tan and/or camel type color.

    1. LauraL

I would second the request for caviar in the A221808 jacket. The asymetrical jacket does not work for my body type and I love this jacket. It would be nice to have to match back to the caviar pants

  24. Mary

Ponte Jacket: Sorry I missed this one. Would love to have it in Navy or a Periwinkle Blue
Lace Jacket: (such a great piece!) something soft like Ivory or Ecru (or Driftwood or Mocha Mist to go with the pearls)

  25. Beryl

This year I bought the black lace jacket and last year I bought the moss green. I vote for navy or ivory.

  26. Parisa

    For the Asymmetric–walnut & navy
    For the lace jacket—ivory

  27. Rebecca

Honestly, Louis, I am so in love with your malachite and ruby colors I would love to see more of anything in those colors. I consider them both to be year-round colors – at least I wear them year-round. I also love a good raspberry color as I feel that is super flattering to most skin colors.

  28. Diamondscribe

I am so thrilled that the A233182 ponte jacket and drawstring skirt might be reordered. I have lived in this jacket this summer along with the matching pants (although I have the A233183 skirt in all three colors, I don’t wear skirts so much). I do hope you consider providing pants to go with the jacket.

In accent colors for the ponte pieces, I would like to see the lime and aqua of the whisper knit OLO pieces – so I can make the Linea column of one color. And, since these ponte pieces are year-round for me, I’d like to see a neutral choice other than just navy or black (which I built out of the TSV group). I’d like to see either the tobacco (love the shell in this color)or maybe your pale olive or pale caramel. Any of these would be wearable all year for those of us in temperate climates.

  29. Beryl

more feather jersey please. It is such a wonderful fabric. Maybe black.

  30. Quendiva

ponte jacket(LOVE!), drawstring skirt and lace jacket: Navy.
    A233187: coral or nectarine

    1. maggie

I agree Navy and turquoise and coral are all great for the ponte knit drawstring skirt and jacket. Also Yellow, yellow yellow in anything!!

  31. Kate

    1-A233182/ A233183 NAVY, NAVY, NAVY

    2-A233187, NAVY, NAVY, NAVY

    3-223652, NAVY, NAVY, NAVY

4-A70208, I’D LOVE A PATTERN OR TIERS OF DIFFERENT COLORS (VERY MEXICO!)

    5-A221808, PURE OPTIC WHITE

Sorry, not very original but these are my wishes!

  32. Chris/Jazzmom

    Good morning Louis!

    Here goes my color selections:
A233182 ponte knit jacket in WHITE (not sure if it came in this and was a complete sell out) and WALNUT as the 2nd color request, PEWTER as 3rd color request

A233183 ponte knit skirt w drawstring WALNUT as 1st choice and PEWTER as 2nd choice request

A233187 asymmetrical hem tunic RUBY or CHILI PEPPER as color choices.

A223652 lace jacket with patch pockets TAUPE lace with BLACK trim; PALE OLIVE lace with STONE trim or a near color for the trim

    A70208 boho skirt PEWTER GREY

A221808 notch collar blazer PERFECTLY PINK or VIOLET

    1. Judi

      1. Ponte skirt and jacket: pewter gray, 2nd choice navy
      2. Assymetrical tunic: navy
      3. Lace jacket: navy with oatmeal trim
      4. Boho: pewter gray, 2nd choice chambray blue
      5. Blazer: oatmeal/taupe

BTW: I hope that you will continue the Feather jersey line. I have many pieces and found them so comfortable and classy looking for summer wear. It’s a shame the line got such a bad rap before it saw the light of day. It’s the main reason I don’t post on the qvc forums. So many people who argue over the slightest thing without knowing the full story. There’s enough stress in life without creating more. Yes, there are some wonderful ladies, but when threads take a toxic turn, I realize I made the best decision for me.
Back to feather jersey, I’d love black and more navy.

As far as I remember, you asked for suggestions for future leather jackets. I adore the tarragon and black, but would love to see a British tan/luggage shade.
Thank you for everything you do for us.

  33. judith

For the lace jacket, A223652, how about perfectly pink? I have it in black and love it. Thanks.Judy

  34. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

As far as the boho is concerned – and being the owner of many, many – I want a butter yellow 🙂 … and butter yellow on the blazer too….she said hopefully 🙂 The French cuff jacket was in daffodil (have it) and would love a softer yellow.
