“THE “LINEA PONTE” BOAT NECK TUNIC”

ponte tunic

So many of you have purchased, and LOVE, the PEBBLE CREPE  TUNIC, A213621, that I thought it would be a natural to do in the LINEA PONTE fabric…..am I wrong???? This is almost EXACTLY like the Pebble Crepe top….except…………….for fall in the Ponte…………I changed the sleeve  to a slimmer…….. LONG SLEEVE……….otherwise all of the detail are the same….the BANDS around the NECK, at the bottom of the SLEEVE and the band at the HEM of the garment are all the same …..even the SIDE SLITS are there. One of the details that is loved by all……….I’m guessing ……….are the PATCH POCKETS, and they are there too…… As you know this is a very versatile piece….wear it with the matching PONTE PANT, wear it with the LINEA PLEATED SKIRT, wear it with the LINEA BOHO. wear it with a LINEA PENCIL SKIRT……..LEGGINGS……JEANS….or wear it with  a zillion other things hanging in your closet. Wear it LAYERED with a WHITE COTTON KATE SHIRT or one of the LINEA TURTLE NECKS…..either the WK or the POSH KNIT….or…..as shown above…. in BLACK….. wear it with nothing  at all. As with all of the ponte knit pieces, this is easy care and easy to pack. You can plan a whole travel wardrobe with just the Ponte Pieces that will be avail…….many of you already have the PERFECT LITTLE BLACK DRESS! or SPRUCE GREEN…..or TOPAZ………..the style number of this perfect little top is………..A237398…………scroll down for MORE……………………….enjoy…..much Love………………………Louis

Every color & whatever they will be coming in next. LOVE THIS.

  2. Kate

Wicked cute. Just double checking…is this the same fabric as the drawstring skirt and jacket?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate….yes it is….and “Linea Ponte” is now a registered name. From now on all of the garments made in this specific fabric will have a new Linea Ponte label.

      1. Kate

Well then, that makes both more difficult and easier to order. Easier because I love this fabric; difficult because I love this fabric.

        Thanks for info.

Hi, Louis! My Pebble Crepe Tunics have a bust measurement of 44″ in the Medium. The online “click here” garment measurements for this tunic in a Medium indicate that the bust measurement is 41.5″. Is this correct? Thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I send your question into my manufacturer…..I’ll have an answer on Monday…..2 1/2 inches is a big difference. I realize one is stretch and one isn’t anfd the sleeve on the pebble crepe is different….will let you know.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

They must be working late tonight because they already got back to me. 41.5 is correct. Due to the fact the the pebble crepe has more drape and is a softer fabric than the ponte, they felt it was more flattering with a slimmer look. They did tell me that 41.5 is a med. measurement.

      1. Barbara in Virginia

Thanks so much, Louis. I thought that might be the case but also thought I’d better ask!

  4. Chris/Jazzmom

The Q website is calling this top a scoopneck instead of a boatneck.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

What can I tell you….looking at the picture what would you call it?, and if you own the pebble crepe, you know exactly what the neckline is. To have them change it takes weeks,…..don’t ask me why???? I already told them to remove the stripe dress. While it is a ponte fabric….it is not the LINEA PONTE that is being sold on line. The two dresses that are in the Linea Ponte aren’t listed, which I also told them about. Let’s see how long it takes for the stripe dress to be removed and the two correct dresses to be posted…..I feel like the OLO POLICEMAN!

I have to laugh because I sent via the feedback button– asking the web people to include the new L/S knit dress that comes in black, spruce green and topaz into the ponte knit collection because it meets the criteria of a ponte knit!

Louis, this is just fantastic and it will be my new “uniform”–and you know how us Catholic School Girls are!

I lived in the Pebble Crepe Tunic and Crops on the weekends when I was in Johannesburg for all those months—hand washed in the hotel sink and hung to dry–never had to iron it. I do hope the Pebble Crepe Tunic will be coming back next year in more colors with the matching crop pants as I need to replace all my Larges with Smalls.

    All the best, Sheila

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shelia….the top is coming back in the new OLIVE, but not the pant….sorry.

The only decision to make: which color?

  7. Barbara in Virginia

I’m wearing the navy PC tunic as I type! The same tunic in ponte is a must have!

    Louis,

I love the Pebble Crepe Tunic Top (have it in all colours) – so I know I will love this Ponte Knit version – and the colours you have chosen are perfect!

    Seka.
