PENCILS READY! Details of the Mar 24th shows

March is here and I have 3 show this month on the 24th at 2:00am, 2:00pm and 11:00pm. Pencils ready….here are the descriptions:

1-A213613, THE PIPED BLAZER. This jacket fits like the medallion and/or Leopard print jackets…so whatever size you bought in those…it would be the same. This jacket has a narrow shawl collar,  a 3 button front and has a 3/4 length sleeve . It is piped all over… the shawl collar, front and hem of the jacket is piped. The faux cuff on the sleeve and the band pockets are piped. The princess seams, front and back, are piped to create a very slimming effect and the front bust darts are piped……. even the armholes are piped. The fabric is a beautiful quality of cotton sateen….68% cotton, 29%poly and  2%span. The 3 buttons match the piping so they contrast with the jacket. The colors are: Navy, with Ivory piping….very spectator or nautical…which ever way you want to play it……a true American classic. Perfectly Pink, with Navy piping….. YES, it goes with the PP sweater with the navy stripes and YES, it matches the PP Boho. The last, but certainly not least, is the Ivory with Red Piping. It is fresh and clean and goes with many things…did I say jeans?

2-A213614, THE MATCHING PIPED CROP PANT. This is the same body as the A89801, cropped cuff pant. There are 4 differences: this is cotton sateen, not cotton satin [the satin is much shinier]. This has no cuff, this is sized XXS-3X….not numerical sizing and this has piping bordering the pocket and down the side seam. The colors are the same as the jacket. You will be surprised at how many things you can wear these with. They uplift and add some pizzazz to an ordinary outfit.

3-A213617, the first of my 3 WHITE SHIRTS. I call this the “Robyn” shirt, in honor of my dear friend. She is a makeup artist supreme and works out of the Sally Hirshberger salons in LA and NYC. She asked me to design the white shirt she has always looked for but could never find! She wanted a man tailored shirt but fit for a woman….not baggy, and long enough to cover her behind….she stands all day so it MUST be comfortable. I think I’ve come up with her perfect shirt. First, the fabric. I could not find the right cotton blend at the perfect weight…a lot of cheesy garbage out there! So, I had one woven, 98% cotton, 2% span. I had them weave it with a super fine twill. You have to look really close to see it but this gives the fabric the body I wanted….not too thin….not too heavy. I sent my very expensive shirt to the factory so they could copy all the men’s details. The top stitching, the 2 button cuff with the buttoned placket on the sleeve and the placket down the front. The collar even has COLLAR STAYS!! …so it will always be perfect……you never find this in women’s shirts. It has top stitched princess seams, front and back for the perfect fit! Not too tight, but definitely womanly……THIS IS NOT YOUR HUSBANDS SHIRT! The XS is 27 inches long….so there is plenty of coverage. For all of you women who belong to the “White Shirt Cult”….this is for you. Robyn said she want’s to order them “by the dozen”…LOL. It will also come in a great dk. navy….perfect with jeans or all 3 piped pants.

4-A213219, The HYDRANGEA PRINT JACKET. This jacket is the same fit as the medallion or leopard print, so you know your size. The only difference is…this has pocket flaps instead of band pockets. The fabric is the same as the medallion print 98% cotton, 2% span, This is all about the PRINT. Again, it comes from my archives, so it comes from Europe. The print is large with Hydrangea blossoms and leaves scattered on a solid background. I think it’s gorgeous and VERY EUROPEAN looking. The color are: Navy ground with White  flowers and  touches of Grays and Pink. A Pink ground with shades of deeper pinks, fuchsia and purplish flowers and a Butter Yellow ground with Nikko Blue flowers. Every combination is beautiful and each is special!

5-A213615, is the printed HYDRANGEA T-SHIRT. It’s the same body and fabric as the medallion print t-shirt. This has 3/4 length sleeves and a self fabric piped v-neck. Of course, it looks incredible under the matching blazer or on it’s own with absolutely anything! It come in the same colors as the jacket. You will wear this all spring and summer..again…wash and wear.

6-A213268, is, of course, the matching HYDRANGEA PENCIL SKIRT! You know the colors….same as above….you know your size….same as the medallion and all the others. As a 3 piece it’s stunning….garden wedding, Easter, graduation, but on it’s own, with the new shirt….belted….watch out!! Of course you can wear it all together or split it up with solids….

7-A213272, is the coordinating poly/rayon scoop neck, short sleeve t-shirt. Think of the tanks that came two in a pack. The neckline is the same scoop with a little shirring. This T was done to go with the hydrangea group, but the colors will go with anything……it’s just a great, easy spring/ summer T, in a very comfortable fabric. The colors: White, Periwinkle, Pink, and Green.

The next 3 pieces are in my pebble crepe. I did this fabric last spring in the jumpsuit, the big shirt, the long pull on pant and the long bias skirt. This is a true spring/ summer/ early fall fabric. You have asked for “easy care”….this is it. It’s light, it’s airy and it looks expensive. This is one of those fabrics you have asked me to please bring back….I did and I love it.

8-A213621, this may look like a very simple and clean 3/4 sleeve, ballet neck top……but it is far from simple. The neckline, sleeve hem and body hem are finished off  with top stitched bands. It has curved patch pockets sewn on top, but you get into the pocket through bison bands sewn into the patch. The XS is aproxx. 26 inches long. The fit is easy and fluid, extremely comfortable. It’s the kind of top …..I want to pile ethnic jewelry on…..it’s Linea at it’s purest. The colors are Coffee Bean….looks perfect with the new Mocha Boho,  and Black.

9-A213620, is a sleeveless safari shirt tunic with a self tie belt.. It has a spread collar that looks great open, epaulets, 2 patch breast pockets with flaps and buttons, band lower pockets and side slits. When the “dog days “of Aug. come around you will be glad you have this top!!! Wear it with its self  belt or no belt at all……better yet,  throw on your own fabulous waist or hip belts. Talk about ethnic jewelry and long beads……The colors are Sage….yes, THE SAGE and a marvelous “Natural” which is a pale khaki beige….two perfect safari shirt colors This is similar to the safari shirt jacket but a whole different look. This would look great with a pencil skirt, but is perfection with the next item………………

10-A213622, is the pebble crepe pull-on crop pant. Ladies, you will live in these pants, they are that comfortable….and petites….no shortening necessary! They have an elastic waist band, POCKETS!!!!!!!!  and have the perfect easy leg and will go with the two tops mentioned above….. PLUS EVERYTHING ELSE YOU OWN. Do they look good with the “faux de chine” safari shirt jacket.?..you bet! Ditto for the zipper trim jacket! The colors are the same as the two tops, Black, Coffee Bean Sage and Natural.  All the colors are neutral enough that you will find zillions of things to wear them with. LADIES, I’m telling you…these will go quicker than you can say “wait list”…LOL……and they are machine wash and hang to dry….perfect for traveling!!!!!!

11-A213619 is a great new jacket! First, it’s a print. I call it my “brush stroke print”. It looks as if I took a 1 to 1 and 1/4 inch brush and made small brush strokes all over. They are very close, so…it could look like an abstract animal print….but it is not. It has a notch shirt collar, a 3/4 length turn back cuff sleeve, big patch pockets with turn back flaps which are part of the pocket, and large 4 hole buttons. The jacket is 30 inches long for an XS and it has a marvelous SWING SHAPE……..think of the A87434,  hounds tooth swing jacket, but longer.  It is unlined, so it is super cool. I love the PRINT…..I love the SHAPE…..I love that it is new, new, new! The colors are Black brush strokes on White and Black brush strokes on LATTE BROWN. It looks equally good over a pencil skirt, my crop knit legging or the new pebble crepe crop pant mentioned above.

12-A213616, is a top in the poly/rayon knit in the Latte and Black. It’s got a peasant neckline with a small v…. notched out. It has a cap puff sleeve [not too puffed]. Elastic finishes the neckline and the  sleeve hem. It’s sort of sweet and naughty at the same time. Another top you can wear with anything!

13-A107319, is the reorder window pane silk duppioni shirt/jacket. The new color is Jade with White accents……yes, it will match the Jade tank you may already own.

That is all for now!…..   but…….I may have some other surprises for you….as soon as I know…….you will know……….much Love………Louis

    I’m doomed!!!!

  3. Chris/Jazzmom

One question: are the piped crop pants with an elastic waistband or a button fly front as A89801? Regards, Chris

    1. louisdellolio

      Hi,
They are like A89801…zip front with button and a partial elastic waistband.
      ………………..Louis

  4. Shari

    Louis !
    ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!
What a line up for the 24th !!
My closet is ready for 5 (or more) NEW items and some other favorites !
OMG ! The Hydrangea items and the T’s, I can hardly contain my excitement!!!!
I raise Hydrangeas–How absolutely perfect for you to have these !!
I have everything in my garden from the Nikko blue to white and all shades in between.Even Lime hydrangeas, which are so gorgious. They turn a burnished pink in the fall.
I had one bush last year that on the same blossom went from the Nikko blue on one side of the blossom and morphed to a light pink on the other side of the blossom. So pretty!
It’s all about the soil and the PH balance.I have been doing this for over 25 years.
I’m also excited about all the Perfectly Pink you’re bringing to the line up !!
Thankyou so much for all you bring for us !!
I’ll be there with bells on !!
    Love to all,
    Shari

    1. louisdellolio

Dear Shari, I have many Hydrangea bushes also, about 20. As I said in my descriptions, this print came from my archives, however I did not like the leaves in the original print so I took some leaves from the bushes and gave them to the artist to replace the ones in the print. The original print also had these strange daisies in it, which I removed, So this new print is a hybrid of the original and me…LOL…..regards Louis

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

As a gardener, I have hydrangeas too!! I prefer the lacecap varieties and I have two of those– ‘Blue Bird’ and ‘Purple Tiers’. On one side of my patio I have an oakleaf hydrangea called ‘Pee Wee’ and the beauty of this one is that in the heat of the summer, the white flowers smell like vanilla!! I have another lacecap called ‘Lady in Red’ and I am trying to help it keep its pink flowers in the summer by adding lime to the soil. We have acid soil here so the first two mentioned have bluish purple to a deep violet purple flower. Love them as they are easy care!!

      2. Shari

It sounds absolutely lovely !! Can’t wait to see the prints! I am also an artist of 44+ years and I paint mostly floral and birds.
I use to do murals until just recently and have done a lot of “floral gardens” for clients. But, I really enjoy doing single pieces for framing.

Today (Sunday the 6th) coming home from noon dinner, we saw 9 Robins trying to find some FROZEN worms. Here in Michigan by Lake Michigan–they have a long wait before the ground is “peckable” ! I’ll probabely put out my annual dish of raisens in the tree out in the back yard as soon as I see them by the house. But, none the less–Spring is not far behind !!
        Love to all,
        Shari

  5. Soldout

    Louis!!!

I received the sage jacket and pencil skirt with zipper trim. I am so pleased with this outfit. It screams class! I am wearing it with the yellow cotton ribbed elbow sleeve mock neck for now while it’s still cool. I am on waitlist for the sage print tee shirt that Jac wore on the show.

Now for all the new goodies on the 24th; we are certainly having fun now! Thanks Louis for making me feel beautiful and special!

    Soldout

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Soldout,
I’m so glad the sage suit worked out well for you. You will find there are lot’s of colors that will look good with the sage, which can take many colors. Wear it in good health!…….regards, Louis

  6. Susan

    Hi Louis!
Wow – this sounds like a great line-up! Time to clean out more of the old and make room for a closet full of Linea! 🙂 I spent the better part of the afternoon writing five star reviews for your line (on the Q). Everything has arrived, both new and past season items and I love them all. I feel like the luckiest ‘girl’ in the world. I have a question…I am fair (Irish skin), with blue eyes and dark blonde hair. Which hydrangea outfit would you pick for that coloring?
Will you be coming out with more jewelry? I love it! It goes with all my Linea! I would love to see some tribal versions.
Would love to see a purse with either zipper trims or pearl trims – real leather, no center zip compartment, must have zip top for security…how do we make this known to the Q?

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Susan,
Without seeing you it really is hard to say which hydrangea color would work best for you. Basically, you have to go by the ground color first, Do you look best in navy, pink, or butter yellow? I picked these three colors because they are all universally accepted and flattering colors. If I had to make a guess, I would say the navy or the pink……but that’s just a guess. I’m sure the butter yellow with the blue and purple flowers would work well with your blue eyes and blond hair. Skin tone in the spring/ summer isn’t such an issue because of all the wonderful bronzes and blushes you can use. Jac, who also has very fair skin, never lets the sun on it, but looks tan all summer long with different bronze makeup.I think when you see the print you will know immediately which is for you.
I don’t have any other jewelry coming for the spring season. If you want more jewelry you have to post it on the QVC Community board. That’s the only way they will know you want it. Have you left your reviews on the Linea site for the pieces you have purchased? That’s important too!…..regards……Louis

      1. Susan

Ok dear – I’ve posted my requests on the community board – starting a new thread. I’m not sure I left my reviews in the right place though. Here’s what I did: I went back into each item number, and wrote a review. I was not aware there was a specific Linea site for posting reviews. If so, how do I find it? I want to help you – you deserve it so much! My name on the Q is ‘CarlyTwila’.

  7. Alexandra

THANK YOU Louis for letting us know what items would be on-air. This helps me get EVERYTHING before it actually airs, as soon as it’s available on QVC website, otherwise, you blink, and it’s gone 🙂 (if is wait will it airs on TV). Also, I have to ask you (I know, I’m pushing it, lol…)… do you think that you could bring the pull-on full-length pants sooner than in June???? I want them so bad, they come up (especially in the light, summer colors) so very rare, and get bought so very quickly… I want them so bad 🙂

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Alexandra,
That would be impossible as production schedules are planned months in advance with fabric deliveries, manufacturing etc. I wish I could have it all early but I know that would be very overwhelming………..regards, Louis

  8. jazz

With all the garments of yours that I’ve received in the last couple of weeks and your upcoming ones that I’ll no doubt HAVE to have, I’m going to need a second lifetime to wear them all!

Since more deliveries have come to my home lately, my husband asked what was going on. I told him my favorite designer had been on the Q and I had splurged a little. He asked who and I said Linea by Louis Dell’Olio. He replied “He’s Italian” (with a tone in his voice that seemed to say that made it all okay). The funny thing is that he’s not really “old world”, but “paisans” are “paisans”. Ha!

So, for the next round, you’ll have to tell me you love wine,(that’s his business), preferably a great montepulciano or French burgundy, and that ought to get a few more boxes in the door without him complaining! (a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do)

    Ciao for now,
    jazz/Deb

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Jazz,
LOVE wine. Tignello is my favorite…..for special occasions……Louis

      1. jazz

Ah, Antinori. You have good taste, my friend. My husband says after your next show, you’ll be able to buy a case, and he’ll be headed for the poor house! LOL!

  9. Claudia (chprsp)

The crop pants, the jackets, the white shirt – how will I ever decide?

Most of the items from your last show have arrived. The peasant tops arrived. The black must have been a return since it was minus its belt. I’m keeping it though as black is no longer available. I tried it on and wondered why it took me so long to order it.

Saturday I’m meeting my sister for lunch and plan to wear the black anorak with one of your turtlenecks.

All I need now is for our weather to warm up.

  10. Ann from Maryland

    Dear Louis,

Wow! What a line-up! My credit card will be smokin’! LOL

I have a question about the hydrangea print skirt in the pink colorway. Last spring I purchased A97198 the square neck ribbed sweater in raspberry. (This is the top that also came in navy and turquoise with matching skirts.) Will the raspberry sweater coordinate with the pink hydrangea print?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Ann from Maryland

p.s. I just received the cotton jacquard swing jacket in black, the leopard print jacket in brown/black, and the 3/4 sleeve jacket with studs in olive – all are stunning! Thanks for dressing us so well!

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Ann,
I checked my samples and the Raspberry sweater and the Pink Hydrangea are perfect together……I never thought to try them together! That’s what I call making your clothes work for you……regards, Louis

  11. Chris/Jazzmom

Looking forward to seeing the hydrangea prints and the piped ensemble!!

  12. gardensla

Louis, my love/hate affair with you deepens. White shirts (5 of each, thank you), the entire hydrangea ensemble, piped pants. Mine. Mine. Mine.

  13. Rhoda (stylishmaven)

Hello there Louis, I am totally thrilled with everything in your March lineup. I can’t wait for the shows. Your descriptions are mouthwatering. I know I will be buying several items in many colors. I have the black pebble crepe pants from last spring. Will #A213621- the ballet neck top in black be a match to that black pant? I know blacks are hard to match, especially when the garments are not manufactured at the same time. Secondly, what colors will #A213622- the pebble crepe crop pant be offered? You mentioned neutrals, but I didn’t notice what colors. I know I will be buying everything in that material. I loved it in the black pant, the olive big shirt and the olive jumpsuit from last spring. They are sooooo comfortable, and flattering. As usual, you have tempted me too much! The countdown begins—

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Rhoda,
I checked my samples my samples and the blacks match! As you said, even though they are the same fabric to get dye lots in the same season is hard to do…from one year to another almost impossible…but these do! The new crops in the pebble crepe will come in black, sage, coffee bean and natural….a pale khaki beige. All 4 colors are great. This is the type of pull-on pant you will wear all summer, every day…..regards, Louis

  14. Debbie M

Louis, What are the colors for item #10?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Debbie,
Thanks for bring that to my attention…I added it in. The colors for the crop pant are black, sage natural and coffee bean….Louis

  15. Anonymous

I want at least one of everything, and probably all the colors in the piped crops and some other duplicates as well. It all sounds wonderful, and something tells me I’ll be ordering, and ordering and ordering. Only wish I could put more than 9 items in the QVC shopping cart, but I’ll just have to have more than one cart filled. The poor card will be exhausted by the end of my shopping with you. Thank you so much for bringing us such well made clothes, so that those of us who don’t live near shopping areas can feel good about ourselves.

  16. Carol

I declare, Louis. I’m about to swoon!
