“All the Details for my May 10th shows”

Hi everyone,

As I promised the following are the details of the reorder and new items for my May 10th shows. I will have two shows….one at 2:00am with Nancy and my second at 3:00pm with Sandra. Here we go:

The Reorders

A199799, is the medallion T shirt, The blue/green combination has been reordered. Just a heads up….I will have a new chambray weave Capri pant in a poly/rayon /span blend….. in a blue/white or a green/white that looks terrific with this coloration. The new khaki/sage/olive/straw combination goes with many things including the olive boho, the sage cotton suit from early in the season and the new cargo pants. If you have had them on wait list they may already be on their way to you. If you want either one, but haven’t ordered them yet, I suggest you don’t wait too long…..you don’t want to have to wait another whole year for them to come back!

A890794, is the printed ruffle front blouse with the short puff sleeve. The reorder color is the black/white and the new color is the Khaki/white. The khaki/white will go with many things including the new cargo pant in Chino. It also looks great under the new sand blazer from the last show……maybe paired with an ivory pencil skirt or pant. The sand and the chino are totally different colors and do NOT work together, [I know someone will ask], however, for some reason the khaki /white shirt works with both. For a totally different look wear it over the black crop pebble crepe pant with a narrow black patent belt, black patent ballet flats and black sunglasses….it’s a big city look.

A70208, The famous BOHO skirt. The reorder colors are the olive and black and the new colors are the mocha and perfectly pink. If you want any of  these….order now….you don’t want to wait another year! I suggest you get a spare black since you can wear it 12 months out of the year. There is very little for me to say about this one. It was introduced to you 6 years ago!!!! and is stronger than ever. It is, without a doubt, the most popular skirt I have ever done in my entire career! I think the reason for this is because it fits and works for many women……you can wear it black tie or to the beach….it is great for New Years Eve or the hottest days of Aug….plus it is wash and wear and it is easily packed for a trip. I don’t think you can ask for much more from one item of clothing.

The NEW

A214878, is my new trench/safari……shirt/jacket. It is made in a brand new fabric for Linea. Think of it as my “Cotton Sateen Lite”. It is 97% cotton and 3% span. It is a lighter weight version of my cotton sateen…..my summer weight. This shirt/jacket is a combination of my three loves….the trench, military, and safari. It has a zip front and a shirt collar. It has body seams for shape and is TOTALLY unlined for the summer, as it should be. You can wear it in the summer as a light weight jacket or in the fall, layered with a mock, crew or turtle neck sweater. It is loaded with fun details……on the upper left body it has a trench flap with a snap, on the upper right body it has a real zipper breast pocket and just below that a small flap with a snap…..indicating a pocket, but it’s faux. The sleeves are 3/4 length with narrow band cuffs and two snaps to make them adjustable. On the upper left sleeve there is also a vertical zipper….indicating another pocket, however this is faux also. If you open it you will see a sliver of skin….air conditioning….or the color of the T shirt you may be wearing underneath. Either way it’s a fun little detail……of course you can always leave it closed. It also has side slits and comes with an optional self fabric tie belt…..or add your own wonderful leather belt….maybe a woven one. The colors are CHINO or IVORY, both with gold zips and snaps.

A214879, is my Cargo pant. It is made in the same “cotton sateen lite” and comes in the same two colors, Chino and Ivory. As for the style….think of the piped or cuffed cotton satin pant. These are easy fitting pants. They have a full elastic back and a partial elastic front, with a zipper and snap closure. The pockets are slanted like on the piped and cotton satin pant, only this time open or close with a zipper. The thigh has the traditional cargo pocket with a flap and snap. This pant also can be converted to a Capri by rolling them up and holding them in place with a tab and snap. When they are being worn down, there is also another tab and snap which can be used to taper the leg slightly…….just another fun detail that can be used….or not. These pants look GREAT with the Cheetah print pieces, the floral print blouse from above, the medallion T and just about any outfit you want to spice up……of course a T or tank, some gladiator sandals, big tortoise sunglasses and a huge straw tote….maybe my new ribbed cardigan tied over the shoulders….. that is all you need to  look hot hot hot!

A214007, is my new “essential” tank, and, for me, it is ESSENTIAL. It has a V-neck and a ribbed body. It is a cotton/rayon blend, so the touch is wonderful. I did a V-neck tank a few years ago that was VERY successful for all women of all sizes…..it really should never have been dropped……so that is why I brought a similar one back. It is a VERY STRETCHY RIB!!!!!! So if you go by the measurement sizes it will seem small…….if you do not want a baggy tank…..go by your normal size. If you are a larger woman and have some specific body issues, you can go up ONE size if that makes you feel more comfortable……no more than one size. This is the perfect layering piece for under everything, whether its a causal or dressy jacket. The colors are Ivory and Navy……

A214008, is the matching cardigan. All of the suggestions I made for the tank, I am making for the cardigan. I had Jac try these two pieces on in size XS. She can wear both a small and an XS depending on the shoulders and how nipped in she wants it. She said she would definitely want the XS in both, but could understand some women wanting to go up a size, again no more than one size in the cardigan. This is truly an “Essential” piece….it’s a classic. I had the tank and cardigan on my mannequin with everything from the Bohos to the Hydrangea print to the blue Cheetah jacket….. with the cargo pant and the pebble crepe crop pant and the new long pebble crepe pant version coming in June….they just work with every single thing. I LOVE the ivory tank worn over the black/gray mosaic tiered skirt, a black patent belt, black sunglasses, big hoop earings, my essential cardigan tied over the shoulders and a big black mesh bag….this is a chic look for anywhere in the world.

That is it for the apparel…….now for the jewelry! Unfortunately I do not at this time have the “J” style numbers, but I will get them for you.

I will be offering two new “ESSENTIAL” chain pieces. Why essential….because they go with anything….any time of year. They are BOLD and BEAUTIFUL! Both the necklace and the bracelet have THREE bold rows of exactly the same links. Each individual link is comprised of two matching finer links…..linked into the next two links… into the next two links, etc. This keeps the pieces light , but gives a bold effect. They, of course, are plated with multi layers of GOLD…..not just one layer… like many, so called, better fashion jewelry is. This is FINE costume jewelry, as all of my jewelry is. Both pieces have lobster claw closings. I will be showing it on many models so you can get a GOOD LOOK. Remember, it can be purchased on line  only. Wait until you see it with my June “Status Chain ” print…..WOW! The chain print will be in a Blazer, a Pencil skirt and something new…..a printed cotton “Lawn” short sleeve shirt( lawn is a light cotton fabric)…..you will get a sneak peek on my May show at 3PM…..along with some other sneak peaks.

That is all the info I have for you about the up coming shows. Jac and I look forward to “seeing” you….and maybe, if we are lucky, speaking with each other! My next show is in June and it’s a whopper! Eleven new and two reorders for a total of Thirteen pieces in multiple colors!

I have noticed that “Godfreako” has struck again! Please ladies, do not go crazy from this list. Some of these pieces are scheduled for months down the road and I will give you plenty of advance warning as to what is coming up. Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves…….it takes some of the fun out of it…………new pics of Samantha coming soon!

Happy Passover  and a Happy Easter to all of my dear friends………much LOVE, Louis

I need a barely pink colored top to go with by barely pink boho skirt…..by the way the skirt is beautiful.

Do you have any matches…I know the new blouse is great, but do you have a tank to go with the blouse?

This is my first post ever…hope it is in the right place.

Just need info on a matching tank or blouse for the boho..

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Deborah,
You’re in the right place…..and welcome! I do not have anything on the June show in perfectly pink, and I really haven’t done any blouses in P. Pink for fall. I am planning something for Dec. and I will definitely have a tank in the pink next spring…….sorry you have to wait so long. With only 4 to 9 new items per show I can’t offer everything I would like to. There are only so many items we can sell in an hour, but I promise to have more pink items next spring..
      …………..regards, Louis

Thanks so much Louis, especially for answering my post personally. I can wait and in the mean time, I wore it with an ivory tank with an ivory crocheted shell and it was so beautiful. My skirts are going with me on a cruise to China later this summer…light, airy and wonderful for dinners on the cruise or touring during the day.

Do not stop making this skirt…I would love one is blue…maybe a soft or medium???
Thanks again Louis, you are one of my favorite designers.

Hello Loise, I would like to order your jumpsuit, A199791 in Azure. I am a 2x but will size down to 1x. What jacket or top would look best with this? I am new to your line and this is now the only line I buy! I now have 25 of your items.
Thank you Loise for helping me, as I have more confidence in my self now.

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Marilyn,
At the moment everything I did to go with the azure jumpsuit is sold out! I think you should try something contrasting instead of trying to match it. A cardigan or an ivory, white or black jacket…..see what you already own. If you do not think you have anything suitable than I do not think you should order the jump suit! In June I will have a shirt/jacket and a pull-on long pant both in the pebble crepe, which is the same fabric as the jumpsuit you want to buy. You can get the two pieces which will give you the “jumpsuit” look, but you will still have two separate pieces that you can wear with other things. They will be coming in aquamarine, white and light tan. I don’t want you to buy a piece of clothing that will just hang in your closet because you have nothing to wear with it……regards, Louis

Thank you Loise for your help. The Turqouise sounds wonderful as I am a summer, fair skined and dark auburn hair. I live in Canada and would love it if you came to TheShoppingChannel.com. Their would be a large market for your beautiful designs. Thanks for help Louis.

The new khaki/sage medallion scroll arrived in the mail today. I’ve been on waitlist forever for this. I love it and knew I would! Now back for the ivory pants and the navy sweater set and maybe the ivory as well. I wore the yellow hydrangea suit for Easter this yr.

Is the new mocha color in the boho skirt a dark, medium, or light shading of mocha? As someone who cross-stitches, quilts, and sews a wee bit, I realize there are infinite variations on each color name.
The mosaic print skirt is wait-list in navy. Is there going to be a coordinating top to go with it eventually or is there an alternative top?
Thank you for your taking the time to read all of our questions and answer us!

    1. louisdellolio

The mocha color is very similar to the coffee bean pebble crepe crop pant and the pebble crepe 3/4 sleeve top….I would say it is a medium mocha. There isn’t any matching print top to the mosaic skirt. IT work well with the “Robyn” or “Kate” shirts, my new V-neck tank and cardigan or any white or chambray blue top you may own.

  5. Claudia (chprsp)

The cargo pants sound wonderful. How long are they and can they be shortened?

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Claudia,
The inseam on the XS measures 29 inches. They can easily be shortened 1 inch. Beyond that, the bottom tab would have to be removed. In my opinion it would not detract from the pant at all if the tab wasn’t there. It really is a superfluous detail. They are unlined so it should be easy for any tailor to handle it if it is something you can’t handle……regards, Louis

  6. Chris/Jazzmom

A joyous Easter to you, Jacque and the ‘girls’ The tanks sound interesting to me. I just received the khaki/white ruffle blouse and it is lovely! The top goes with many things I already own like the ivy boho, the sand blazer and the sage crop pants for starters. The khaki is to me more of a light tan or a beige. I can see this very easily wearing this with brown pants. I should receive the blue/green medallion top on Monday.

  7. Alexandra

As usual… look very much forward for the May shows!!! I hope that I will be able to purchase the pieces that I want before they show it on TV, so, I can get the colors and sizes that I need 🙂

  8. Dawn

The jacket sounds really great and I will be ordering it sight unseen along with the matching cargo pants and the ivory shell. The sage medallion shirt is in transit to my home; can’t wait.
Thank you for keeping everyone informed and hope that you, Jac and the girls have a wonderful holiday.

  9. DBL of the Napa Valley

    Dear Louis,

Does the olive boho look good with your new sage tops? If not, please let me know what you would recommend. The boho is on waitlist, and I think I might need to purchase it before I leave the USA on my trip.

    Thanks,
    Dariann

    1. louisdellolio

Which sage tops are you referring to?

    2. louisdellolio

      Dear Dariann,
I know you are leaving on the 5th, I’m still jealous, so I wanted to get back to you. I checked the olive boho with ALL of the new sage tops. They certainly work together….but…they are a little drab….so if I were to show them together, I would lift them up with accessories. Metallic always works….Brass, bronze, antique gold and gold…..jewelry, belts, sandals, bags, a beautiful woven gauze scarf, maybe paisley, with metallic threads etc. Colors such as turquoise, red, hot pinks, oranges, spanish yellows [deep], ochre and lime can give it the spike it needs. For instance, the limeade tank and kiwi cheetah jacket look great with the olive boho. If you don’t have anything that you think is just right….you may find just the right thing in the “souks”….something a little EXOTIC!….much Love, Louis

      1. DBL of the Napa Valley

        Thanks, Louis!

Happy Easter to you, Jac, and the girls,
        Dariann

  10. rhoda

    Hi Louis,
I am looking forward to your May shows on the 10th, as always. You indicated that your new v neck essential tank is modelled after an older version. Is it #A69924 (90% rayon, 9% nylon, 1% spandex), the ribbed tank? I have that one in many colors, and love it still. Since that one, because of the ribbing and the material, had so much give I ordered it in a small ( whereas my usual size for your tops is a medium unless it runs big). Would I order the new tank, and cardigan in a small, or remain with the medium? Lastly, you also mentioned that the cargo pant is shaped similar to the piped trimmed crop pant. Since many women found it ran at least one size larger than usual (baggy in the thigh and leg), how would you advise ordering the cargo pant? Typically, I wear a small in a Linea pant. I appreciate your gracious, and constant guidance.
I hope your shoulder is almost mended, and you are now sling free. I wish you and Jac a happy Easter filled with lots of goodies, which only Jac can create.

    1. louisdellolio

      Hi rhoda,
Yes, the new tank was modeled after the A69922, except the older one was V front and back. I would say whatever size you bought in that you would buy in this new one.
As far as the new cargo pant….for those who thought the piped pant fit perfectly, buy the same size. For those who thought it ran one size to big, then you will feel the same way about the cargo so they should size down. I laid one pant on top of the other, both XS, and they were the same.
The shoulder is coming along and I have an apt to see the surgeon this Monday.
As we speak, Jac is down stairs preparing for tomorrows dinner….yum!
      ……………much Love, Louis

  11. Sassenach

    Hi Louis,
Th ank you for posting the upcoming shows. I will get my credit card ready! Will the new capri pants match A213124 – the studded jacket?

Best to you, Jac and the babies!

    Sassenach

    1. louisdellolio

Which Capri pant are you referring to? The one coming in July? If that is the case then let me say the fabric was given the same color, However, one is a cotton sateen and the other a cotton twill. It also depends on the time of year and the humidity in the air on the day of dying. I know it sounds crazy but it’s true. I am hoping they come out close!…..regards, Louis

    2. Sassenach

I apologize, Louis, I meant the cargo pants that are coming in May. I am sorry to take up more of your time by my error!

      Sassenach

      1. louisdellolio

No problem…..the answer is no they are two different colors….Louis

  12. Carol

The cargo pants sound so wonderful! I cannot wait to get them home. I have to admit I’m having a hard time “picturing” the jacket, so it will be a real surprise to see it. Of course, I’ll be buying it sight unseen. Is the chino the same color as the chino of the brass studded jacket? Is the sateen similar to that one? Or a lighter weight?

Don’t worry about Godfreako’s sneak “peek” info. Every time we think we know what’s coming, we’re wrong! If we could “imagine” what your works of art would look like, we’d be Louisa Dell’ Olios. LOL

Looking forward to the May shows and all the visits from Mr. Brown Shorts.

    Carol aka crdlb

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Carol,
The two colors are different. The jacket is paler and more golden. The new chino is deeper and a pinker chino compares to the jacket. The fabric are similar except the new one is lighter and less crisp. Let me try again….picture a classic zip front shirt…on one side is a small trench flap and on the other side instead of a matching flap there is a horizontal zipper which opens to a pocket and below the zipper is a small pocket flap with a snap. Then picture 3/4 sleeves and there you have it…..regards, Louis

      1. SpaGal

Thanks, Louis, I was unclear about the jacket, too, but this second description makes it something I will really consider. Happy Easter!
