“THE MOSS TUNIC & PANT”

Faux silk

Continuing on our travels through INDIA, another piece that was inspired by the clothes of India is this FAUX WASHED SILK TUNIC, A251589………Some of you are well acquainted with this fabric from the DRAPED FRONT JACKET,A235312 the TANK, A235311, and the pull-on pant A235315…..Unfortunately these pieces premiered on a 2AM show, and never got the exposure they rightly deserved…..Also, from the fall collection the shirt, A237555, in the LILAC & SMOKE are made in the same fabric……..The fabric, IMHO, is superb and feels just like a heavy weight washed silk crepe de Chine. If this shirt and pant were in that weight silk they would be well over $400 each…. in any high end store……..This is not a flimsy fabric, but it is not PONTE or gaberdine….it IS a silk like fabric and is meant to be light in weight and season less as real silk pieces would be…….The TUNIC, A251589, and the PANT, A251590, regular length, and A251591 in petite, both come in the ……….MOSS, shown above, for that much desired COLUMN OF COLOR………..The tunic, which looks deceivingly simple , has many details. The length for the XS is 30 inches and there are 8 inch side slits. Many of you may remember the “Equipment Shirt” from many seasons ago, which was actually made in the real washed silk. This shirt is basically the same body with some changes. It has the same yoke that goes down into the sleeve giving the “look” of a DROP SLEEVE, BUT IT ACTUALLY IS NOT. This tunic has a front placket approx. 15 inches long…..to make it easy to get on and off. There is no button on the collar stand. The first button is approx. 5 inches down from the bottom of the stand….therefore the collar remains open for a more relaxed attitude. The sleeve is straight and is approx. 18 inches long………………This is a tunic shirt that can be worn all year long……………………I have the MOSS TUNIC above with many different bottoms….some you may already own. First, there is the matching PULL-ON pant which comes in regular lengths and petites….I do not have the measurements, but they will be listed when the items are posted………………At the upper and lower right is the same Faux Washed Silk pant in the color………SLATE ……so you can mix and match your bottoms. Again, on the lower right and lower left is the PONTE LEGGING, A239321, in the WALNUT which gives you a more casual and a great trans outfit from winter to spring……….On the upper left, I have paired the MOSS TUNIC with the vintage Linea Faux Linen Herringbone pant in the Pale Olive, A226258. This will take you right through spring and summer and into next fall. If you don’t own the pant and you are linen lovers….I would suggest a natural linen pant…..I am sure they will start showing up in catalogs….if you don’t own them already….. a chino color cotton or gaberdine will also be perfect……….there are lots of options………..I have accessorized the Moss tunic with my OLIVE OVAL BEAD NECKLACE, J278132, the ENDLESS OLIVE OVAL DISC NECKLACE, J278131, the OLIVE OVAL EARRING, J278133…..to complete the look… the OLIVE BOLD CUFF, J278134…..I also have the BRONZE DROP FACETED BEAD GLASS EARRING, J284042, shown…… and with the matching BRONZE BEAD  NECKLACE, J284042…..you will have another beautiful way to accessorize your tunic…..very classy…..very EXPENSIVE looking……All of the other jewelry is from my own collection…………………….This is a very comfortable, breezy, languid way to dress, and you can be as casual/dressy as you like…..easy to pack, easy to travel with….machine wash…..not only BEAUTIFUL….but PRACTICAL………PERFECT FOR INDIA!…………………..scroll down…………………enjoy………………………much Love…………Louis

    Louis,
I love this Fabric – have the A235315 Pant, A235312 Jacket and A235323 Top. The weight of the Fabric is perfect- not flimsy – has a beautiful drape. It is done so beautifully – no one knows it’s Faux! And unlike Real Silk – this Fabric looks good all day long – no creasing – and it is so easy to care for.

Glad you did a Tunic – have been living in your Ponte Knit Tunics! All the colours are Gorgeous!

Look forward to watching your Shows.
