Sneak Peak #3

SNEAK PEAK #3

Hello everyone!

Here is SNEAK PEEK #3……….In the photos above, there are two new items:

First is  A219795, the water color print charmeuse blouse. I think this is a very modern way to do a print…. where the color is the focal point instead of the pattern. The Raspberry has grays, shades of taupe, oyster and  streaks of black. In the photo, I have it paired with the new Merlot pant and the burgundy pearls that should be avail. sometime after Thanksgiving. The Gray chenille jacket looks great with this blouse. The Avocado also has oyster, black, gray and taupe washed through it. In the photo, I have it under the taupe chenille jacket and the new Avocado faux suede skirt…..it looks like a million!!! If you should be so lucky as to have my iridescent olive trench coat from seasons back…..it’s incredible over the three pieces. Also, the olive pant from last month and the new sand pant work beautifully with both color ways of the print. Please notice the picture in the lower right corner. It is a detail shot of the neckline and the stitched darts that radiate from it. It is one of those subtle dress maker details that make the blouse pure “designer”.

A218570 is the faux suede zip front jacket. The fabric is the same quality as the faux suede riding skirt I shipped last month. The colors are Sage…. with Bronze metallic faux leather piping, and Black with Gunmetal piping. Again, the jacket has a zip front, a crew neckline and multiple  piped body seams that end in a sort of wave pattern at the hem. This design repeats in the back. The piping, that is set into the sleeve, allows for shortening when necessary. There are NO POCKETS in this jacket!…..so don’t try to open a seam LOL. I have the Sage paired with the Espresso silk/cashmere turtleneck and the Espresso ponte knit long skirt. The Black is paired with the Steel Gray turtle neck and the black knit riding skirt. The new Black  top with the Silver sequins or the Silver/Black lurex top,  look amazing under the Black jacket. With black jeans and boots it’s very HOT!

I hope you enjoy my new sneak peek! There will be more to come………….much Love, Louis

    Hi Louis,

Last night I dined at a fine restaurant in Washington, D.C. wearing your taupe chenille jacket with your aubergine whisper knit turtleneck. Remembering what you suggested about accessorizing, I picked out a white pearl necklace to wear with it. I caught eyes with your clothing walking into the restaurant, but I couldn’t help thinking how lovely that burgandy pearl necklace would have looked! The white pearls were pretty, but oh my, that burgandy pearl necklace calls out to this outfit! You’ve ruined me, Louis!

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Mackenzie,
I am sure the white pearl necklace looked great, but you are right, the burgundy pearls are going to make a big difference. First, no one will be able to find pearls of this color, length and size anywhere else….so you will look very unique and very “custom”. These are the kind of accessories I strongly feel a woman should collect and they will last and look great forever. A hint…..do not be afraid to mix the pearls with other necklaces! They look incredible with the Byzantine necklace and cross. It also looks great mixing the two different color pearls together, i.e. burgundy and green, green and gray, burgundy and gray. Remember, look for a scarf or other accessory that has the colors in it to pull the whole thing together. It isn’t hard to find a print scarf with grays, greens, and burgundies…….regards, Louis

      1. Mackenzie

Wow! Thanks, Louis! You are stretching my imagination, and I’m going for it! Thanks so, so very much!

  2. Shelley in TN

Dear Louis, Thanks so much for putting up the latest sneak peaks. Your clothes are beautiful and we are all waiting anxiously for the December shows! I have a question for you – will the new sage jacket go with the olive boho skirt?
    Thanks!
    Shelley

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Shelley,
The two colors do not work at all together. The olive of the boho is much more brown, and the sage jacket is deeper and more green. I compared the new sage to last spring’s sage jacket with the zipper trim and the pencil skirt with the zipper in the back slit. They are of the same family but, the new sage is again, darker and more green. You could wear the skirt with the jacket but, I think there are better choices……………..regards, Louis

  3. Carmille

Hi Louis! You are killing me here with all these new displays! I don’t know how my credit card is going to handle this! You just have too many lovely pieces to buy! Just today, I was able to get the steel gray riding skirt. I cannot tell you how happy I am – I checked on the Q every day hoping one would come back – and it did! Persistance paid off! I have the cassis one and want to know if the raspberry blouse shown would work with the cassis riding skirt? I absolutely love that priceless little perfectly pink waist whittling bow sweater. I cannot wait to order! Now, I just want to see the pucker suit and the vest cardigan with the blouse in the perfectly pink, fawn and black. You have outdone yourself my friend! Priceless designs! We are so lucky!

  4. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

I adore the water color print blouse! What kind of neckline and buttons does it have? You just keep tempting us with all your beautiful fashions, making it so hard to resist anything! I keep looking for your new necklaces – please let your ladies know when we can order them.

    Dariann

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Dariann,
The neckline of the blouse is a kind of jewel neckline that has four stitched darts radiating from it. The darts give the blouse a subtle designer detail. I wanted to keep the blouse uncluttered so there are no buttons or front seams to distract from the print. There is a back zipper and a hook and eye closure.
I was told all of the jewelry has been shipped and received at QVC, but the processing takes time and probably won’t be avail. for selling until Nov. 25th or shorty after. My guess is it ill be avail about the same time as my show. You would be amazed at the amount of product that arrives at the QVC warehouses daily. It all has to be counted, examined, photographed, inventoried, and the prices put on them before they get put on the site. It’s a daunting job and one I would never want to do! If you have ever seen the last scene in “Raiders of the Lost Arc”, with all the rows of crates and boxes……..it is sort of like that in the ware house…..of course not so Hollywood! LOL As soon as I hear anything about the jewelry being avail. I will pot an “UPDATE” here on my blog. I will say if you really want any of it, get it ASAP, the quantities aren’t huge and the jewelry is truly fabulous. I really think the women are going to be flabbergasted at how beautiful they are and the superb quality.
By the way, my friends just got back from their honeymoon in the Napa Valley and Ventana. They had a great time and went to all the restaurants you recommended. Thank you. That is one trip Jac and I would like to make again! ……………best regards, Louis

  5. MH-MN

Thank you for another breathtaking preview!

As a famous fashion designer says, “Who wouldn’t want to look like that?”

  6. kate

Always thinking ahead do you think we might get a charcoal (or other gray) whisperknit v-neck cardigan next fall to pair with the avocado top?

    1. louisdellolio

That’s always a possibility! Are we talking steel gray like the whisper knit turtle neck or deeper…..not too dark or it will look like a bad black.

      1. kate

Deeper, like a medium charcoal, a little dusky but not too smokey!

        1. louisdellolio

YOU ARE VERY SPECIFIC, as I knew you would be…..you had better send me a swatch!!!!………………LDO

          1. louisdellolio

Did you like the graphite as in the essential jacket. It is deeper than the steel gray….bluer, not sure if I would call it smokey….is this too coordinate with anything special?…..LDO

          2. kate

I know, I’m very ‘Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House’ if you remember that scene. A deeper gray like A210370 (but maybe a bit more charcoal) to go with the deeper gray in the avocado/gray blouse and for contrast against the new gray pearls. I have a cream lace skirt from last year’s Prada collection and would like to pair it with a deep gray cardigan so I am turning to my favorite designer to help me out!

            1. louisdellolio

              Got it…..blue, green, yellow, white….gray!

  7. Mackenzie

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I just love your exquisite gray chenille jacket, but I’ve been struggling with what to pair it with to do it justice. I wanted more than the sweater look, and this beautiful blouse definitely fills the bill! It’s going to look so fabulous! Could you please let us know what show your blouse is going to be on? Thanks so much in advance!

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Mackenzie,
The blouse will be on the Dec 9th, 1PM show. The host will be Shawn. There will also be many other tops that will work with the gray chenille blazer including the python print [which will be on the Morning Show on Dec. 12th, and the faux satin back crepe de chine classic shirt, sweater vest cardigan and new longer pencil skirt. For example: Gray chenille blazer, Ivory faux silk shirt, black cardigan and skirt [maybe belt the cardigan…….or the Perfectly pink shirt and cardigan with black pants. Honestly, the gray and taupe chenille jackets are so classic you really can’t go wrong with what you wear under it…..just pull it all together with some accessories……….it really becomes a formula…..use your scarves/accessories to create the color combination for you……regards, Louis

      1. Mackenzie

You’re the best! Thanks so much!

  8. Yvonne shafer U

How can you keep working these miracles?!! I want/need it all! Thank you for the enticing peeks and for suggestions on how to coordinate our old with new pieces! I look forward to the December shows and can’t wait for the grey pearls as well!
    Yvonne aka twogreys

  9. jmarie

    LDO, you’re killing me!

I thought I was all set with the suede Robyn and matching skirt and the jewelry. Now you show me this raspberry blouse, and the jacket–I see all that luscious seaming: is it possible that it will fit like the piped cotton jacket A213613?

    Whew!

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear jmarie,
That’s difficult to answer since they are very different jackets. This is not super fitted….it only looks that was because of the seaming. It does follow the lines of the body. I would say if you ordered the size you normally order it should be fine…….regards, Louis

      1. jmarie

Thanks! I’ll check the measurements when it posts!

  10. Breee

Louis, I am enjoying the sneek peeks. I did get the purple and grey chenille jackets which are perfect this time of year. I did not get the taupe as I had the fawn riding jacket and the ecru leopard jacket. Jackets are a weakness of mine. I wanted to thank you for the sneak peeks. Both of these blouses sound devine. I do have the olive and black pants in petite as well as the black and olive jackets trimmed in gunmetal! So I think the avocado and raspberry are both great choices. I am excited to see these two new jackets, especially the one in sage with and bronze trim. Thank you for going to so much trouble to show us these sneek peeks. I look forward to the show.

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Breee.
It is my pleasure to help all of you with your choices……..regards, Louis

  11. Celia

Oh my word, Louis, what’s a girl to do??? I need divine intervention. Thanks for sharing these pictures! Something lovely to think about in the coming days.

  12. louisdellolio

    Dear Deb,
With the Taupe chenille jacket to give your outfits the final touch, everything you have received in olive and are planning to get in the avocado and chartreuse is going to look sensational! I would suggest you pick up the new sand pant [same color as the tunic in the first “sneak peek’. It really looks incredible with the chenille jacket all the olive, avocado and chartreuse pieces. So you will have an olive, black and sand bottom to switch things off. You are one well dressed woman…..if you don’t mind me saying!……….regards, Louis

    1. Deb a/k/a jazz

I certainly don’t mind you saying! I’ve always loved clothes, but since building my Linea wardrobe, it’s so much more fun and so much easier. Sharing with other women and having your personal attention…well, that just icing on the cake! I have the slim pants in all three colors and will definitely get the sand ones also per your suggestion. Can’t wait ’til the next sneak peek! (that spruce pucker suit maybe?)

  13. Sherry in KS

Hi, you spoke of lavender for spring, will there be items to take the avocado into spring? thanks…Sherry

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Sherry,
If you get the sand pant and you already own the olive cardigan in the whisper knit that is all you need to be ready for Spring. I’ll have to think if there is anything else coming, but to be honest I thought I will have given all of you enough olive, sage, avocado and chartreuse after this fall for a while. Since they are some of my favorite colors I always will return to them in a new way.
      ………………..regards, Louis

      1. Sherry in KS

Got it…get the sand pants, and I’m stalking for an olive cardi. I’m still in the base building stage of my “Linea” wardrobe; I so appreciate you taking your time to guide us in our decisions. I think I need to take notes as to what goes with what; too much to remember. How do you do it?
        Sherry

  14. Yvette

Oh, Louis, these two are pieces are sooo beautiful! But I’m sad that the jacket may not work for my short self. Would you mind giving the length measurement for the jacket? If it doesn’t work I can just console myself with some of your other things, but I DO love this jacket. On a happier note, I have your olive trench jacket(A79648), which is not the trench you were referencing but will also look great with the avocado print blouse if I’m not mistaken. And I was already planning on the new pearls in green. It’s wonderful the way new Linea pieces work back to things already in our closet!

    1. Yvette

Whoops, I just went back to look at the pearls and they appear to be spruce green rather than olive. My mistake.

    2. louisdellolio

      Dear Yvette,
I measured my XS sample and the length from the shoulder seam to the longest point of the first “wave is 25 inches which is not extremely long.
You are so right…..the new blouse and your olive trench jacket look great together. I put them together with the new faux suede skirt in Avocado and all I can say is WOW!…………regards, Louis

      1. Yvette

Thank you for the quick measurement, Louis. The longest unbelted Linea jacket I own is A213613, the 3 button blazer w/piping, which measures 24 1/2 inches long. I’m 5’2″ with short legs, so I’ve been enjoying all of the shorter jackets that you’ve given us. The riding jacket was unfortunately a bit too long and had to go back, which just killed me. But this faux suede jacket is just calling to me – and I keep calling back, “come to momma!” I’ll be ordering the XXS, which may be 1/2 in. shorter than the XS that you measured. Hope springs eternal! And you thoughtfully designed the sleeves so that they can be shortened. Sounds like I have a new jacket in my future. Gee, but these sneak peeks are fun!

  15. Chris/Jazzmom

Wow!! Boy those blouses are lovely!! I am definitely a raspberry gal and those merlot pants are the finishing touch!! Thanks again so much for the sneak peaks. It makes it so easy to decide ahead of time what we want to add to our wardrobes! 🙂

  16. Nancy/ smilesalot/

    Dear Louis,

What a great sneak peak! The avocado blouse is calling my name loud and clear! Thanks for giving us even more reasons to tap our feet impatiently for the next show.
    Cheers~~

    1. kate

I’m all over the avocado too! So fresh and so wearable too.

  17. marcia29

I am in the middle of studying and I needed a break, so I came hoping for another sneak and here it is! The jacket with piping in sage is MINE. Your sage just lights up my skin.I think I have nearly every sage piece you’ve done so far and I shall not pass this by. Ah…a refreshing break. Funny thing is, I had nothing in near this color before Linea, and now sage is one of my favorites. The avocado fauz suede skirt is peeking out-waiting to be in the limelight….

  18. Rhoda

Dear Louis, I think alot of us need a pick me up this weekend, and there you are. I, too, will be buying the avocado blouse. In your description, you paired it with the taupe chenille blazer. I bought the grey chenille blazer. Do they coordinate? I am looking forward to the other avocado and chartreuse pieces, as well. Unfortunately, it is difficult to see the avocado faux suede skirt. I guess I will just have to wait for further sneak peaks. Thank you again for knowing us so well. We will always be there for you and Jac.

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Rhoda,
The Avocado certainly works with the gray too especially if you wear a black, avocado or olive bottom. There is a lot of taupe, gray and black in both prints so they will work with both jackets. If is difficult for me to photograph bottoms because my mannequin is really too small……..regards, Louis

      1. Rhoda

Thank you again for your advice. I have the olive and black pants. I think your pictures are great. I know the mannequin couldn’t show everything, but you love to tease us anyhow. (LOL) I will patiently wait for sneaks of the faux suede outfit, and the pucker outfit.

  19. Deb a/k/a jazz

Dear Louis, I just came on your site to plead for sneak peak #3–just really needed a “pick-me-up” this weekend. It’s as if you read my mind ’cause there it was. To be sure, it does not disappoint. The blouse in avocado will be on my list for sure. I just received the taupe chenille jacket (love!)and was wondering what I would wear with it. I have all of your olive pieces and look so forward to adding the avocado and chartreuse ones. Thanks a million, not only for your talent, but for your personal touch. You know your ladies love ya! (and Jac, too!)
