SNEAK PEEK #7

SNEAK PEAK #7 is the A219799, Python jersey surplus top. The jersey fabric is the same as my medallion, cheetah, and floral print jersey tops. The colors are Blue, Green, Black and Raspberry [which should have been called Cassis because it matches perfectly]. The top drapes from a neck band, around the neck and down across the body on both sides. The drapes are controlled at the side seam by a series of pleats. The neckline can be worn as high and conservative as you like or as low as you would like. Once you adjust it to how you want it…..it will stay without worrying about it shifting. The fit on this top is very important. I strongly feel this style of top should be FITTED! There is a lot of stretch to this fabric, and because of the amount of fabric, due to the draping,  going down a size is something I recommend. I know some of you will  quickly think….”my lumps and bumps will show”, but the print and the draping it is very concealing. You don’t want to be wearing a SAGGY jersey top. The top in the photos is an XS…..remember you want it to stretch across the hip….not just sit there. I happen to think it’s a great top for women with hips. If you have small hips DEFINITELY size down. It really is a top for ALL size and shape women. About the print: it is a Python print which is trending stronger and stronger in the market at EVERY price range. I HATE snakes too, but this is a very pretty one! Gucci did EVERYTHING in Python print this fall and this print is just just as beautiful at a fraction of the price. They will also be strong for next spring/summer. When I saw the first strike offs of the print for my approval, they were horrible. They looked like one muddy blur and they had no definition at all. I had them do them all over until I was satisfied…..I am more than satisfied….I think they look terrific. All of the color ways can be worn with black. The black combination has a lot of taupe in it so it looks great with not only black, but taupe and espresso brown. I have it shown with the new longer knit pencil skirt in black, A219798. The blue has  different shades of blue, from very pale to navy, so it is a natural with jeans as well as dress pants or skirts. The green works beautifully with everything SPRUCE GREEN, as you can see in the photo to your upper left. I have it paired with the A210358, Spruce Green suede jacket and the S. Green knit pencil skirt. It works just as well with the new green pucker skirt, and all of the textures together are incredible….PURE designer. The “Raspberry” is photographed with the Cassis knit riding skirt…..throw the Black, zip front suede jacket with the knit trims over it and WOW…….”who wouldn’t want to look……….”. This is also a great top to wear under jackets and v-neck cardigans. This top looks wonderful with the new pucker suits. Accessorize or not….it really needs very little…..a belt looks great if you are so inclined…….it’s up to you. Again, this top has no season, it’s packable and easy care……..a terrific and sophisticated addition to your wardrobes…….Attention!!!!!!!…….this top will be on the Morning Show, Dec. 12th!!!!!!…………….much Love, Louis

Louis, will you ever be bringing ack in your olive straight leg pats in a 2X ?? I NEED them so badly.

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Susan,
I have no idea whether the pants will be reordered or not. It usually takes 3 months for QVC to accumulate all the info they need to determine if a style and color is worthy of a reorder. The amount of returns have a big play in that decision. Also, comments on the Linea web site can influence that decision……regards, Louis

Louis, this sneak peek looks fabulous as your clothing always does.
Tell me, will the suede blazer only come in the Spruce green.Ig so will you green surplice new blouse work perfectly with it: which I’m sure it will. I wa just wondering about the length of the blazer in the 2x.

I know we will see you and pretty Jaq before Christmas but I’m wishing you both a Blessed Christmas anyway.

      1. louisdellolio

        Dear Susan,
The suede jacket comes in the spruce green and the repeat purple. The python print in the green works perfectly with the spruce green suede which is how I have shown it in the sneak peek.. However, I think they are completely sold out in the 2x and 3x sizes…….even before it was presented….wait list?…..regards, Louis

I keep coming back to this group of photos – – Louis! – – I’m so excited about this blouse – – I know my size – – I know my colors – – I know I’m going to be one happy lady if I am able to score this blouse in the black & green! – I’ve not seen anything like this – –

    1. louisdellolio

Dear ~K~, It is a really pretty print and I hope you are just as excited when you get it……remember this will be on the Morning Show on 12/12…Louis

Thank you for the reminder! – I’ve set an ‘event reminder’ on my phone! – –

Only Louis could put this many pythons in my closet! Oh, Louis, these are such beautiful eye candy … the colors are so perfectly designed to go with so many different garments; I’m pretty sure I need all 4, although I might leave the Raspberry one for others … 🙂

Only debate I have is sizing; if the Brushed Cotton Jacket in 3X fits perfectly, and usually everything else does too, do I stay with the 3X or size down? My inclination is always to size true or even up as returns are so painful, but I haven’t ever returned a Linea item :)))

Every one of these sneak peeks makes me want to call Q and demand they go find my waitlisted Spruce Green Suede … LOL!

Most especially important, many thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to you, Jac and your loved ones.

      Dear Cathy,
The only suggestion I can make about size is….if you border a 2X and 3X go for the 2X…..if you are a true 3X, stay with your size, especially if that is the size you always get……………Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!Louis

Somebody help me! All four colors are colors I wear. A LOT! Now a question about the fit. I had problems with the fit of the Charmeuse Draped Blouse, which ran VERY large on me. How would you describe the fit of this blouse, Louis? Thanks so much! Barbara

    1. louisdellolio

First, it is nothing like the charmeuse top. It is definitely a shaped garment, but in this jersey, which is the same as cheetah, medallion and Hydrangea tops, it is very stretchy, and the draping is very forgiving. This top unlike the charmeuse top has a waist fit and is longer. I like tops like this to stretch across the hips. I know you usually buy size M. Have you ever bought any top from me in a small so I can compare?

      1. Barbara in Virginia

Yes, I have bought several in Small, the last being the Hydrangea print top. I have them in both Small and Medium and they both fit. Other that I can think of were blouses.

    2. louisdellolio

I would say the small, you don’t want this baggy or saggy or hanging in any way.

      1. Barbara in Virginia

Thanks so much, Louis! Small it will be.

  5. Judi

What a fabulous surprise! The gorgeous Byzantine necklace (J264037) is available!!!
Delivery usually doesn’t take that long, I’m hoping it will arrive Friday. What a terrific surprise for the Holiday weekend. I’m planning my wardrobe around the necklace.
    Thank you, Louis.

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Judi.
I didn’t know! I just went to the Linea site, clicked jewelry but it wasn’t there. Where did you see it?………Louis

        1. MH-MN

I found the pearls J264035, Byzantine cross J264026, and the chain necklace J264037 by typing the item numbers into the search box at QVC. Delicious, all of them!

      1. Judi

It’s not showing when you click jewelry …what’s with that???
I type in the J# daily….it was just luck!

      2. Judi

It also comes up when you type in Linea and click on the “new additions”.
Q needs to add it to the jewelry page, it’s difficult to buy if you don’t know it’s there!!

        1. louisdellolio

Dear Judi, I found it typing in the style numbers. You all have a jump on it. The quantities are very limited so….get it while you can.

  6. Judi

    Hi-
I’ve made my list, checked it twice and you keep adding new items that I MUST have! These blouses are fabulous…I must have the green and of course the navy.
I’m justifying all of this because I have worked so hard in grueling PT, but I’ve made so much progress this year! These will be gifts to myself.
I’m so grateful for all that you do for us.
Wishing you, Jac and the girls a wonderful, peaceful Thanksgiving.
    Judi

The navy is a MUST HAVE as it will slide right into spring 2012 (with white pants? C’mon how chic) but the raspberry is such a flattering color (and it too will be spectacular with navy–as in the navy pencil skirt). So, both are coming home with me. Will this neckline work under a jacket (I’m thinking yes but would love your opinion).

    1. louisdellolio

      Absolutley,
Look at it under the spruce green suede jacket. It will look great under any blazer and the black under the new pucker suit [for a less dressed up look] is fabulous. Under a jacket it looks like a scarf criss-crossed over the chest.

Sorry, one more question: Does the green python blouse match with last year’s green velvet pants?

    1. louisdellolio

      They look great together……..regards, Louis

      1. ~K~

I got those green velvet pants – – – that top is going to make my holiday outfit complete! – – Great question upallnight~ – – Thanks for your response, Louis – –

I don’t NEED these blouses, but I love them. This is exactly the sort of thing I wore when I worked on Madison Avenue, wearing my Anne Klein to call on Fortune 500 companies, when I was in my twenties and thirties.

I look best in warm colors, but if the black goes with a brown or mocha or taupe jacket and a black pencil skirt or jeans, that would be great. I think the navy would work, too. I now live in a town with 3 ski resorts in it, but I think I can rock this with jeans and boots, maybe a furry vest in the winter, and wear this year round, at least at night in the summer.

I can justify my purchase because the medallion and cheetah print vnecks I bought last year are too big. I bought them too big to begin with and I lost weight. I will size down on these, and should probably by one an extra size down for next year, since I am still losing. I really want navy, black and green. This means I’ll need the pearl necklaces to go with them, won’t I, LOL!

Thanks for the sneak peak, Louis (if I may call you Louis. I don’t feel worthy) I have been out of work with an extremely painful and mysterious back problem this week that is not getting better, and was feeling frustrated. You really made my day. If I end up in a wheelchair, I will still feel like one hot momma in this blouse. Thanks, again. You add so much joy to my life. And I know dear hubby will love this, too. Deborah/upallnight1

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Deborah,
First of all, I hope you feel better and I really hope you were kidding about the wheelchair! Second….what’s with the not worthy bull! I’m sure you will rock this top. With jeans, boots, vests, shearling, leather, suede and a great pair of boots you can’t help but looking hot. Perfect for strutting your stuff in a ski resort. I’m sure your husband will take notice!……Happy Thanksgiving….regards, Louis

      1. upallnight1

Thanks, Louis. Unfortunately, I’m not kidding about the wheelchair, but I am trying to fight it as long as possible, and plan to be the coolest, wheelie-popping wheelchair chick around. I was even thinking of adding an inner sleeve to some of your jackets to add ice packs. I am resourceful! And my 5th grade students LOVE your clothes!!!!! One student actually gasped when I wore the cheetah print topper last week. So fun! If they are watching me while I teach, they are learning more!!! Thanks, again!

    Hi Louis,

I had been overseas the last couple of weeks only to return to these wonderful sneak peaks. Thank you very much. They have certainly expanded what I plan to buy because this top in particular was not even on my radar screen. Now I want it in multiple colors. It is a fantastic top. My only problem is once again I will be traveling overseas again during your shows so I hope I don’t miss anything.

I would very much appreciate a sneak peak of the faux suede skirt.

At the moment I am up to 20 items not including the jewelry. I don’t know how to cut it back but Santa says I have been very good this year.

I also wanted to wish you and Jac a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

    Laura

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear LauraL,
Unfortunately, I do not have a photo of the faux suede skirt, but I will describe it for you. It is a long straight faux wrap skirt. It has a back zipper with a back elastic only. It does not have a waist band, so it will “sit” on you from the waist down. It also has a 4 inch yoke from the waist down. It is a faux wrap, meaning it doesn’t completely open up….you still have to step into it as any other skirt. However, the wrap, though attached to the yoke, is real. There is a substantial underlay for comfort. It has all of the seams a real suede skirt would have and it is half lined. It is aprox 35 inches long and if necessary, it is easily shortened because the half lining doesn’t need to be touched. The colors are Espresso, Deep Violet [a dark purple] and Avocado. You can look at the sneak peek of the faux suede shirt to see the actual colors…..sorry you will be away for all of the shows…..can you DVR them?……….Happy Thanksgiving!!……..Louis

      1. LauraL

        Hi

Thanks for the description. I can picture them now in my mind. I had already decided based on the Robyn shirt that I love all of the colors. I will definitely need to hem so it is good to know that it is possible (only 5′ 0″). I will be in Europe for business again so with the time shift I won’t be able to watch them live but I will DVR them at home. As usual I will order at midnight from the hotel (which for once will actually be 6AM – yeah). The only concern is whether they hold out items to just prior to the show. I don’t always have internet when I travel overseas. I will make sure I have my list of item numbers.
