“THE NAVY COMBO PRINT”

lace cardi16

……I give prints a lot of thought before I say yes….this is good….this is it….A262028 is the style number for this new “Print of India”…..It takes a lot of hours designing prints and creating color combinations…..When the prints are ENGINEERED PLACEMENT PRINTS…..you can add many many more hours to the process. This print is an evolution of my fall print with a new twist. The center motif is narrower than the previous print, and the overall print is inspired by the prints and patterns of India. The “ground” print is a floral which, in the two deepest blues,  compliments the center motif. The sides of the garment, and the sleeves have a braid pattern, which end in a border print. This side braid print creates a slimming effect. The placement of the print is no accident. It was designed to flatter and create a leaner silhouette. Isn’t that what we want all garments to do? The colors all play off NAVY……Many shades of blue are used to to bring certain patterns forward, and to recede others all to create an elongated slender figure……..The QUALITY of printing is what separates my prints from many others that are avail. to you. It takes specialized printers who are capable of cutting the screens and placing the colors to give you the variations and shading of the colors. Many Italian print companies have partnerships with Chinese mills. They produce their secondary lines….the fabrics that are under $20 a yard! These Chinese mills have been taught all the intricate techniques that the Italian mills have passed along……The prints I do always have a European look to them……an intricacy you don’t often find with garments at this price range……The neckline is an open jewel/ballet…Please pay attention to how the print is designed to accentuate and follow the opening. The sleeves are long with a combination of the vertical braid pattern and a wide printed band…so even if you HAD to shorten…you would still have a nice border. The length is approx 25 1/2 inches for the XXS. The fabric is the same poly/span jersey I have used for many of my prints. You know the fabric, you know the “hand”, and you know how well it preforms. It is ideal for travel….easy to pack….easy to wash….and it always looks perfect….It’s a garment you can depend on……Wear it with a single strand of my new SIGNATURE necklace in gold or silver[silver above]….or even the mixed metal….your choice. I have chosen the matching signature earring, but all of the hoops or the SWIRL, J284033, will be terrific options…….A260070, is the style number of the WHITE LINEA LEISURE pant above………………………………Sometimes, even for those who are not necessarily “print” people, wearing something out of the box is a welcome change………………………………………………………………………………………….

……………………………………………………………………………………………………….enjoy………………..much Love……………………………..Louis

Has this item, and the matching one in gold and brown tones, been offered on QVC yet? I am in love with this print and really want it!

No, it has not been shown yet…..it will be on my August show for transitioning into Fall…..though it can certainly be worn all year long.

I wonder how this blue goes with the Limoge ponte of two years ago.

This with Moss Crepe navy skirt or navy Feather Jersey skirt or pants. To feel so comfortable and look so fabulous is a real feat. I will be traveling to Europe in these tops with Moss Crepe or Feather Jersey bottoms. LOVE… Thanks, Louis

Oh my – you had me at blue – all three colors are just stunning. The fabric is terrific for all the reasons you say, length works for me and thank you for the dart! It makes all the difference. I’ll start watching for this to list.

I was just flipping through the new Vogue with the two girls on the cover and there is a Neiman’s add for Lanvin print top in similar colors to the Walnut combo….even the prints have the same attitude….

I believe you have “the sight” – or incredible intuition so that you’re always ahead of or on trend. How do you do it? I’m also lining up to order the asymmetrical tunic WN, I’m going to try the sage which is a step out of the usual for me (hooray me!) I can’t keep away from your sweaters…my poor CC.
