SNEAK PEEK# 1

“SNEAK PEEK #1”

This is the first sneak peek of 2012. The shows will take place on 1/20 at 9:00am and 1/21 at 2:00am. I have chosen this as my first sneak peek because it is a jacket that was extremely successful last spring and now it is back as a reorder.

A213215, is the crepe jacket which has three of the prettiest pearl buttons with gold rims. It has two band pockets and a 3/4 sleeve with a split at the hem. The sleeve is meant to be turned back. The jacket is fully lined in satin. The colors are Black, which is the reorder color, Pale Sand [which does NOT match any other sand colors] and Pale Lavender, whichย  is also a new color. I know the question will come up, “do these colors match other Linea colors?”…..no, they do not. How does it compare with the “Frosted Lilac”? The new P. Lavender is bluer and the sand is slightly more gray than previous sand colors. The jacket runs true to size, but I would suggest you read the reviews of this jacket for fit and size guidance.

A221798, is the matching crepe pant. This is a new item. It is a zip front pant with trouser pockets and has elastic in the waist band for some stretch. It is a classic straight leg pant and is the perfect proportion and drape to work with the jacket and also works well as a separate. This pant will be avail. in regular and petite lengths. The colors are Black, Pale Sand and Lavender [for some reason it is named Lavender and not Pale Lavender like the jacket, but they areย  the same].

A221797, is the tank top to match. It is in the Whisper Knit and is the same body as the essential WK tank A217627. The colors are Lavender, Pale Sand and “NAVY”. I chose to do navy as the third color instead of black because black is already avail in the A217627. The navy is going to be very important with my Feb. grouping so don’t let it slip through your fingers if you need a good dark navy tank.

There will be other pieces to work and coordinate with the jacket pant, and tank on this show…….. for instance a wonderful paisley print georgette blouse and skirt, to be worn as a two piece dress or separately. This jacket sold out in a flash the first time we presented it in Ivory, Pink and Black and we only brought back the black so we could introduce new colors……….so don’t hesitate too long if you REALLY like one of them.

I know many of you like to mark your calenders with future show dates so the following are dates I have received for Feb. and March…….of course write them in pencil because they are subject to change.

Feb.3rd,ย  1:00pm

March 29th, 6:00am and 11:00am

P.S. Don’t forget…..if you want to see the above picture bigger, click on it once….. wait for it to shrink and click on it again and it will grow…..like “ALICE”.

Looking forward to a WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!…………much Love, Louis

    Louis,
Can you recommend any other skirt to go with the lavender jacket? I love your clothing and have lots but I need skirts mostly to “suit up” the jackets. I’m a clergy wife who wears hats – they just don’t work with pants!

My two springers say ‘hey’ to the pups -they say come and play up on their mountain here in Western PA!

    Happily in your clothing,
    Nara

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Nara,
Other than the paisley print skirt you can easily wear a navy, black, gray or ivory skirt. A09484, which is the knit pencil comes in navy and steel gray as well as black and in feb. I will have a skirt in the same crepe fabric as the lavender jacket which will be coming in red, IVORY and NAVY. It is a semi flare skirt and works perfectly with jackets. This skirt will “suit up” perfectly.
      ……………regards, Louis

Louis, I just have to thank you again! There is NO WAY we could ever get this kind of close up look at the fabrics in these lovely designs at QVC. Not on air and not in the item photos. Just cannot thank you enough for this incredibly helpful and classy action on your part to let us REALLY see these wonderful creations and gaze at them as long as we wish and zoom in and check out details. I know you don’t have to do this and want to again offer up MY heartfelt thanks for what you have done for us with these sneak peaks. I ordered more this Christmas time than ever and only had one return due to sizing issues. Thank you Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚ By the way, my QVC moniker is The Owl and I post in reviews there under that name.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy……”The Owl”…..love that moniker. It truly is my pleasure to do all I can to make your shopping experience as pleasant as possible. Since QVC is my only outlet, which is my choice, I want to help as much as I can. It is fun to take the photos and make the collages….it’s like an art project for me. I hope you find some things in the coming months that “The OWL” will like!

      1. Nancy

Thanks Louis ๐Ÿ™‚ Got that moniker in college and it stuck. I’ve been examining the beautiful lavender pieces here and it looks to me, though its a light and dark contrast, that I may be able to pair the lavender jacket with my purple boho. I’ve been looking for coordinating pieces that would work since the purple boho came out ๐Ÿ˜‰ – Hence my questions on the new gorgeous print pieces in Sneak Peek 2. Thoughts?

        1. Nancy

Also Louis, with my purple boho piled up under the monitor with the BLACK paisley print option (and magenta) – That color of the print looks pretty darn good with the purple boho too. I agree that the lavender print is a given but the BLACK print isn’t looking bad with the purple boho either. Again – my monitor could be “off”.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s a little bit of stretch but there isn’t much magenta in the print so it shouldn’t clash with the purple boho…..

Hello Louis, I am looking forward to the new designs you have created.

Thank you for the prints to go with the solid jackets and pants. And thank you for the pants to go with the jackets. I prefer wearing pants with matching jackets to the office.

I do wear skirts during the warmer months. The black and olive paisley skirts from last summer were worn constantly. Do these new paisley fit similiar to the black and olive skirts and tops?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Bree,
Since I am not present at the fittings I can’t give you an honest answer. I can say that the elastic waist measurement, both relaxed and stretched, are kept as consistent as possible from one garment. Likewise the hip measure has to be at the minimum a certain measurement. What varies is the style of the skirt. Since the Boho is a fuller skirt due to the shirring. it makes sense that it will be larger in the hip. If you have large hips than you should check the hip measurements of the skirt to be sure. I can tell you, after seeing the skirt, it is not very slim. There is more than enough ease for this style skirt. I hope that helps………….Louis

Hi, Louis! The Pale Sand looks very cool to me on my monitor, almost like a pale taupe. How would you describe it? Thanks so much! Barbara

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Hi Barbara,
It’s not quite taupe it’s more of a pale greige color but leaning to the sand. The sand pant and tunic from Dec. is a little warmer…..hope this helps….Louis

      1. Barbara in Virginia

Thanks, Louis! Beiges are not my color territory, although I do wear them on the bottom. And love them with black and with navy. This one may be cool enough for me to wear closer to my face, at least in a tank. Thanks again!

      2. Louis Dell'Olio

Barbara, it definitely is a cool color and as you say, wearing it with “the” black mock neck that has finally been reordered and a hot pink scarf is something that would look great with your coloring……Louis

  5. Chris/Jazzmom

I’m the one that usually asks if sands match sands and lavenders match the frosted lilac colors!! Thanks for thinking of us with these questions! ๐Ÿ˜€
The sand, black pants and the tank tops are calling me. I have the jacket in the perfectly pink and I guess the fabric for the pants are the same as the jacket?
Here’s another question or two: will this lavender tank go with the purple boho skirt? Are they in the same blue family?

    Happy 2012,
    Chris

    1. Anonymous

      Good Morning Chris,
I checked the samples, and yes,the lavender tank will look very nice with the purple Boho skirt.
The new pant in sand, lavender and black are the same fabric as last years p. pink. black and ivory jackets………..regards, Louis

  6. Carmille

OOOH La La!!! I am so excited! Beautiful Louis! I was sooo disappointed last year to miss out on the perfectly pink jacket in this design but managed to get the black and pearl (ivory) ones. I am so looking forward to getting the lavender and sand this season – and I will be on top of it so I don’t miss out like last year. These sell out like lightening ladies! Louis, I just love your designs. I have to say, I had a terrible year last year, my father’s death and then my brothers in the space of two months. I have to say one of my enjoyments through it all, was you and your wonderful clothes, it kept me looking forward to something and looking forward for your beautiful designs. I truly thank you for that! I am a Linea girl!

    Happy New Year!

The Sneak Peek is just beautiful. Lavender is one of my favorite colors. It looks like it can be mixed with the pale sand, maybe a lavender jacket and pale sand trousers. Will that work? What color tank would you suggest, the lavender or pale sand?

Is Jac still doing the photo collages? They’re nicely done. You manage to show us all the details. I clicked 3 times, and get a really, really close up view.

    Thank you for everything.

  8. Victoria

Thank you Louis, for letting me know the new pale Lavendar and pale Sand WILL NOT MATCH my Frosted Lilac or Sand jackets and matching tops from last year. No problem, as they both work lots of my other Linea summer pants. Your new pastels are sooo gorgeous! That Lavendar color is to die for and the Sand suiting is a beautiful staple for any wardrobe!

I sit here giggling in delight and waiting for Jan 20/21!

  9. Nancy

My goodness! What a beautiful sight.
Thanks for sustaining me with this sneak peek today.
Happy New Year to you and Jac and the “girls”!

  10. Dawn

Happy New Year Louis- what a way to ring in the New Year than new offerings.

I own A71282 in Lavender/Lilac and wonder whether it will coordinate with the new pieces you will be presenting?

    TIA

  11. Carol

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the tanks! Anything in Whisper Knit is coming home to my armoire! I just don’t know how to break the news to my husband that now he has to move out of the 1/3 of it that he currently occupies.

I already have all three of the original colors. But I’m grabbing the pants in black for sure–the other two colors are a given.

Oh, what a happy new year this is going to be!

    Sincerely,
    crdlb

Oh, Louis, what beautiful clothes for spring! I’m not usually a pastel person, but that lavender is absolutely gorgeous. I have all three of the jackets and matching pearls from last year, have the sand jacket on waitlist, and will be ordering the lavender as well as the matching pants and tanks. Thank you so much for bringing such fabulous clothes to us. What a great way to start the new year! Much love to you and your family. May 2012 be full of happiness, great health, and prosperity.

    Carol
