SNEAK PEAK #2

Sneak Peak #2

Hello Everyone,

Sneak Peak # 2 has two items in a georgette paisley print.

1- A221759, is the georgette top. It has a slight scoop neckline which has shirring and it is finished off with self fabric piping. It has long raglan sleeves with elastic cuffs so they can be pushed up if desired. The entire body of the blouse and sleeves are lined in georgette. The body of the blouse has side slits. The fabric is 100% polyester so the blouse is washable. It also comes with a self tie belt that is optional. The colors are Blush [a peachy pink], Lavender and Black which is basically grays, taupes and a touch of a DEEP magenta. The print comes from my archives and it originally came from Italy……so it is very detailed and intricate. It is very unusual to find such fine and complicated printing at these price points. This top goes with the skirt described below, but also makes for a terrific separate that will go with many other things. In the photos above you can see the “Black” paisely top with the black crepe blazer and sand crepe pants from Sneak Peek #1. Also, the “Lavender” top [shown without a belt], is  with the lavender crepe pant from Sneak Peek #1. Navy, black, gray, and taupe are some of the other bottom colors that will work with the prints.

2-A221794, is the paisley print 6 gored skirt. This is a pull on skirt with a full elastic waist……no zippers, no closures. The xs measures 26 inches from the bottom of the 1 inch waist band. It has a graceful, fragile shape and movement. The sweep is kept at a minimum…..just enough, but not too much. It is  proportioned to work  with the top so it makes a great two piece dress…..perfect for spring/summer occasions. The skirt is fully lined in the same georgette as the top. Again, the colors are Blush, Lavender and Black. Please do not think of this skirt as only a companion to the top. As you can see from the photos,  it will make a wonderful spring/summer print skirt. For a more casual attitude….. look at the photo with the lavender skirt, the lavender tank from sneak peek #1 and the white Kate shirt [which will be coming back in July]. I have paired the black paisley skirt with two different tops. The first is the black faux de chine classic shirt that was sold this past Dec and is still avail. It would also look great with the sand tank and the black shirt worn open for warmer temperatures. The second photo is a sneak peek of a sneak peek….LOL. The black paisley skirt is shown with a new short sleeve sweater with taupe lace…..but that will be SNEAK PEEK #3 it is a beautiful sweater which will come in three colors…….enough said.

That is all for Sneak Peek #2 but I wanted to UPDATE you about the Jan shows!!!!!!! As you already know I will be on 1/20 at 9:00am with Sandra. I will be on 1/21 at 2:00am with Rachel……my first time working with her and I’m looking forward to it. I have seen her at the Q and she she quite beautiful as well as intelligent. THEN, I will also be on 1/21 at 8:00am for AM Style with Leah!!!! I don’t know at this point what garments will be on which shows, but I do know……THERE WILL BE NEW garments on each show…..yes even on the 2am show……so I hope to see as many of you as possible…….I know it’s not easy…..except for my west coast ladies….LOL.

P.S. Remember to see a larger image of the above pictures click once on the picture…it shrinks….click again and it gets BIG…..click again and it will show some closer details.

If you have any questions…..I am, as always, at your service………………much Love, Louis

    Hi Louis,

What are your thoughts about the black top with the twirl skirt? too much with the ruffles and print or OK?

    Thanks,

    Kristen/Spagal

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Spagal,
I’m not sure which pieces you are referring to?Which black top, which twirl skirt?…….the description og ruffles is throwing me. Do you mean the black sleeveless top with the 2 rows of ruffles around the neckline?….That would look great with the paisley skirt in black or lavender…..Not sure what you mean………Louis

      1. spagal/Kristen

That’s another idea. I was thinking the black paisley top with the short black skirt–short boho from last Spring. I also have the black ruffle top so now I’m thinking of getting both to have mix/match options! Thanks Louis

  2. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

The black paisley top has my name on it! Thanks for this lovely print.

    Hi Louis

Will the Faux Suede Jacket w/metallic trim in black work with the black print?
I have caved and ordered the jacket in black/gunmetal for winter wear- but think it is a wonderful tranistion piece and will work great w/ my boho’s and maybe the new black print skirt? What do you think?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I never thought to put them together, but yes…ABSOLUTELY! They will look great together.

  4. Nancy

Louis, I’ve been studying out the largest enlargements of these pictures but I know computer photo renditions can be “off” the actual shade. Is it possible that either the Lavender – or possibly the Black version of this print – might coordinate with the purple boho or its matching purple peasant blouse????

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Nancy,
Checked my purple boho with the lavender paisley and they look great together. I don’t know which purple peasant blouse you are referring to. If it’s the same color as the boho…..it works………Louis

      1. Nancy

Thanks Louis!!! You are a gem 🙂

  5. Nancy

Be still my heart….more wonderful lovelies to blend with my perfectly pink boho, knit skirt, v-neck cardi and gorgeous hidden button placket new blouse. Sigh…..come to Mama!

Oops, my original comment didn’t post! In short, I said I would LOVE scarves with this print. My dear husband suggested we move the treadmill out of the bedroom and buy dressers so I would have more room for my beautiful Linea knits. He always compliments me when I wear your designs.

  7. upallnight1

Oh, and he’s putting the treadmill in HIS office! Again, his suggestion!

    1. Claudia (chprsp)

Upallnight, Louis needs to add a “like button”. I would love to have our treadmill out of the small room I use as a dressing room but that isn’t likely to happen.

  8. Carmille

BE STILL MY HEART!!! Louis, this ensemble is sooo stunning! I tell you, you are too good! These designs are fantastic! I cannot wait – I want everything!

  9. Sharon Santourian-Holman

The print is just stunning and black is calling my name. Thank you for our sneak peaks! Even though I will miss the first show, hopefully I can get an order in before I go to the office.

  10. Celia

Thank you for showing these, Louis!

  11. Barbara in Virginia

What a pretty paisley print! Unless my monitor is fooling me, it looks like there are both warm and cool tones of pink in the Blush. Is this the case, or are my eyes fooling me? Of course the Black is a no-brainer for me :-). I have a great white cotton pique paisley cut work jacket that would work with either! As always, Barbara

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I would say the overall coloration is warm,,,,,more of a peachy pink than a blue pink……..the P. Pink cardigan from Dec. looks good with it and that is cool to the print………Louis

      1. Barbara in Virginia

        Gotcha. Thanks!

  12. LauraL

Thanks for the sneak peaks. You have exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to more of them.

I am in love with the clothes. Already have many outfits in my mind and basically in my cart – LOL. Glad they have increased the number of shows. Unfortunately I will have to see them on DVR due to my travel.

Since you did so well in the shirt sizing for me last time, I need to ask about the fit of the paisley blouse. Just a reminder, I am sometimes small and sometimes medium depending on the fit. In your charmeuse blouses the small was perfect. In the water color the medium was spot on. In button front blouses I typically go for the medium but in all sweaters – small.

    Bust 37
    Waist 29
    Hips 42
Shoulder end to center back 7.5″ (Basically shoulder width matched hip width) – this is tough to measure.

Also, Is the necklace I see with the lavender blouse a possibility for us to buy if QVC orders it or is it vintage?

    Thanks in advance.

    Laura

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Laura, because this is more of a peasant style with raglan sleeves and not a flat blouse with set in sleeves I would say a small……regards, Louis

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

If you measure a blouse that you like the fit of that has a set in sleeve….that will give you an accurate measurement for your should width. Measure from the top of the sleeve cap across the shoulder to the opposite top of the sleeve cap…..laying flat. The necklace is not vintage, but not something I’m contemplating for QVC…..I’m afraid it would be too expensive for them.15 inches is usually a small.

      1. LauraL

Thanks – I will order a small and thanks for the tip on measuring for future blouses.

So on the necklace should I post something on the QVC board to guage interest? Also what about the black bead necklace – is that a possibility?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          Dear Laura,
If you would like, the only post I would suggest is a general post asking for more Linea jewelry going forward. I don’t know, at this point, if they are going to buy any more Linea jewelry……maybe yes…..maybe no. I think customer interest will play a big part in that decision….then agin maybe yes….maybe no. I have no idea what their plan is if indeed there is one……………regards, Louis

  13. Cathy

Oh, Louis, these are lovely! I’m not usually a “pastels” person, but the shades in these are just gorgeous. I especially like the elegant subtleness of that Black Paisley blouse. But, I’ll confess my eyes went straight to that Lace trimmed sweater; can’t look away LOL 🙂 Can’t wait for Sneak Peek 3 now, to see the other colors, fabrication etc. … Thank You!

  14. Nancy

Oh I need some Paisley Print Linea!
What lovely prints and colors and well .. how can I resist a trumpet shaped skirt?
Thanks, Louis everything looks just beautiful.
Can’t wait to see them closer and in person!

  15. Yvette

Oh Louis, I LOVE this paisley print! But then, anything paisley usually has my name on it, lol. Now for the inevitable question: Will my perfectly pink vest front cardigan go with the “blush” paisley? Thanks for the sneak peeks – so much fun!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!! I put my two samples on the form and LOVED they way it looked so much that I may show it in the show that way………..thanks, Louis

  16. Kate

totally gorgeous (and very denim friendly)

    1. Jmarie

Keep dropping those denim hints, Kate! LOL! Me, too!

      1. Kate

        you’re onto me!

  17. Mary

And you’re killing me with those necklaces! I picked up some black jet necklaces on ebay, but I LOVE that multi-strand silver necklace. Your necklaces are not just pretty, they have Presence. I love that.

  18. Mary

Before I see these Sneak Peeks, I convince myself that I don’t need a thing…

And then I see how the whole outfit looks, and I’m in love 🙂

I love the black print blouse with the black pearl jacket – and Light Sand? pants.

Will those pants also work with the Lavender color of that blouse? I prefer a neutral color on the bottom, but I do love that Lavender!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Mary,
The pant is the new sand crepe which matches the jacket with pearl buttons from Sneak Peak #1. Even though this sand color does not appear in the lavender print, I put the two samples together and I like. They are both soft and pretty. You could also wear ivory, navy or black bottoms with the lavender top.I understand your hesitation about a lavender pant. I think the lavender pants are very pretty and not something I do often, but it is a sophisticated color so it does look chic.I can also see them worn with an ivory top and an Ivory jacket and ropes of pearls….preferably Linea….LOL….a neutral shoe….bone or a matte metallic would work beautifully…….enjoy, Louis

  19. Carol

Is it just wishful thinking, or do I see a pair of dove gray pants with the black print blouse? Please say these are new and not vintage!

Would you call the shape of this skirt a trumpet, or is it fuller at the top than a trumpet? Also, does this new peachy print coordinate with the perfectly pink?

I cannot wait for the January shows!

    crdlb

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Carol,
The pant in the picture is not dove gray….though that is a good idea….mental note taken. The pant is the new sand crepe from “sneak peek #1” above. It does have a gray tint to it.
I would call the skirt a trumpet but remember it is a pull on with out any openings so it has to be big enough to fit over the hips, therefore it is not perfectly flat as a true back zip trumpet skirt would be. That said, I would not call the top full.
The Blush top has many pinks in it and they all tend to the peach family as does the P.Pink boho……so yes they blend nicely…..regards, Louis

    Beautiful prints!!
