“THE MOSS & BLACK ZEBRA SWEATER”

swing denim10

……………The second combination in the ZEBRA CARDIGAN, A265612 is………………..MOSS & BLACK. Moss is not as dark as my Olive, and therefore makes a better combination with black so the pattern is easily seen…As you have seen from the Skort sneak peeks the MOSS colors work well together…..For now wear the Moss and Black Zebra cardi with black and white or any other combination you think is appropriate for summer…..Come Sept…Oct….you need not think any further than all black. The GUN METAL or SILVER PALM FROND jewelry looks wonderful with the Zebra pattern………………………enjoy………………much Love……………..Louis

    Louis,
Thank you for the sneak peeks! Love to see what is in store for us.
Have you any thoughts as to whether the moss pull on pants that were an LTS today (A251590) would match/work/go with the new moss and black zebra cardigan?

    Thank you,
    rae

Dear rae….they aren’t great together. The pant is a yellower moss.

Thanks, Louis….I was hopeful. I’ll dig out the olive trousers from seasons past and try those!

Honestly Chris….I did not care for them together. The moss in the wood block is much yellower and the brown/moss next to the black/moss makes the dress look faded.

Thank you! Is it possible to make a shrug in the same material as the moss woodblock dress (poly/spandex) in the future?

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Not likely Chris. That was made in the Feather Jersey, and no matter how much I try they just don’t want to buy that fabric.

        1. Chris/Jazzmom

I’ll even take a poly spandex as your print tops as the fabric!! Desperate here! 🙂

In colder weather months I enjoy pull over sweaters. I think this zebra print would make a nice pull over sweater with long sleeves. Not too long but not too short. Just an idea.

I love your cotton knit sweaters, the knit is so soft and comfortable & I have several. This version will be perfect for early fall here on the Chesapeake and this moss is my color, plus it’s so unusual, which is right up my alley. I have a varied, interesting, and affordable wardrobe these days, and any compliments I get on it are largely thanks to you.

How would the woodblock dress in moss look with this moss zebra cardigan?

  5. louis dell'olio

Dear Julia…..my answer is yes….with the understanding that you are introducing a third color that matches nothing. but it does work because the olive is much darker.

    1. Julia

Okay. When I get the cardigan in moss (plus the other two colors) I’ll experiment with the tops I have in aubergine, red, topaz, violet, magenta…can’t wait! Thank you!

Love the moss color would love to see this color in the ponte knit pant and in a solid color cardigan in the same length.

Does the Moss work with the Moss Casablanca dress?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear designista….you are a wild one!! They not only look good together they look FANTASTIC together. I love everything about the combination. The colors are exact and the proportions are wonderful together.

I know the moss color I much lighter than the olive, but would this cardigan work with a black WK tank and your olive pants? I hoping it will coordinate with the slim leg woven olive pants from last year.
