“FEB. SNEAK PEEK #2”

Sneak Peek #2 is the reorder jacket A213327. This is the cotton/span blazer with the zipper trims. Zipper trims…. I consider a signature, and they are all over this jacket….lapel, collar, sleeves and yokes. Unzip the sleeve and turn it back for an even more casual look. Sage is returning and the new color is KHAKI! Why Khaki? I want you to have a true casual blazer with a kick. The buttons and zippers are an antique bronze. This is a neutral color that you can mix with almost anything. Wear it with blue [any shade], white, black and gray jeans. Wear it with brown, navy, white, black, olive and any other color dress pants or pencil skirts. …….right now with gray flannel trousers and a WK turtle in Aubergine!!!Your bohos, peasants and your new paisley skirt will work too. The faux de chine shirt dress and shirts, if you have them, will also look great. Any and all color tops will work with khaki…..the chambray blue Kate shirt [the white one is in the picture which would have also looked great with the new navy tank under it], pink. tangerine, aqua, turq, lime, lavender….I think you get the picture. Prints as in the medallion t-shirt, A199799…. is still avail. and it’s great. The sage jacket is pictured with the medallion print top and the olive crop pant. The olive boho, which has been reordered, will be perfect too. The new python jersey top in any of the colors especially the navy and black, will all look great. The only limitation….is your imagination. For my new Linea customers…..this would be a great place to start…………………….much Love, Louis

      Dear Carol,
The three new colors for the boho skirt for the season are chambray blue, which is avail now for purchasing. It is scheduled to be on my March 29th show. It is a match to my Kate cotton/span shirt in the same chambray blue. In July I will be offering two more new colors….Taupe and Chili Pepper. The taupe is a med. neutral shade…..sort of a mushroom and the chili pepper is a rich, deep spicy red. These are great ethnic summer colors as well as transition into fall colors.
The Hydrangea top will be on my March 29th show in all three colors and ALL sizes. Beware, they go fast, especially in the larger sizes…….Louis

I am bringing back a very similar style in cotton sateen in April.

I already ordered this jacket in the khaki. I have the suit in the sage and got a ton of compliments on it. I’ll have to see if I can take it in, especially the skirt, since it’s sold out in my size. Are the cargo pants with the zippers being reordered? I lived in those last summer! I’d love them in both the ivory and the chino in my new size, and maybe a khaki to go with the jacket!

Hello….the cargo pants has not been reordered…..sorry…….Louis

I love this jacket, too, and get so many compliments on it. I have it in sage and black and wear them with Louis’ coordinating shells with zippers. I wear the sage with the sage shell in summer, and the black with the white shell in fall and early spring. This jacket is so unique–I never see anyone with anything similar. It fits very true to size, too.

I love this fabric! So comfortable, casual and dare I say “chic”? I have both colors in the other Brushed Cotton Jacket with Zipper and it is my FAVORITE jacket, in 3X. How does the fit and shape on this one run compared to that? Was that one also reordered, and might you give us a hint of what new colors if so? I’m really liking this jacket in the Khaki with bronze hardware, as the other jacket is more of a gunmetal hardware … Thanks, Louis!

Cathy in PA, temporarily in Texas WITH my new Terracotta Pebble Tunic LOVE IT; immediately ordered Sand and waitlisted Black And 3/4 Sleeve Red Boatneck LOVE IT; immediately ordered Ivory and waitlisted Navy … and more.

      Dear Cathy,
The fit on both jackets is very similar…..so if one works so should the other. That would be a good question to pose on the QVC forum. Ask the ladies who own both how they compare the fit. The jacket with the zip pockets has been reordered for next July, which starts early Fall 2012. The color is a beautiful deep teal/peacock and the short sleeve crew neck sweater has also been reordered in the same teal/peacock color.
So glad you like your pebble tunic and boat neck sweater. You are looking very chic!…………………regards, Louis

Sounds like I need to add at least two new Zipper Jackets … or 3? This one in Sage and Khaki; the other one for fall in … Teal/Peacock ?!? OH MY, One of my favorites, and for Fall 2012; now that gets me psyched! Can you show that one in our Live Show when we get one 😉 ? Seriously, thank you for the quick answer, and I’m getting this one in 1 or 2 colors; the sneak peek shows it off to such advantage.

I knew I’d like that Boat Neck Sweater; Q needs to make that one an Essential and an automatic reorder each season; we’ll work on that over on the forum 🙂 I am honestly shocked in a very pleasant way about the Pebble Tunic; didn’t think I’d like that one but when I saw Maria walk out in it …. you can tell when the plus sized model KNOWS she looks and feels that good! The terracotta is gorgeous; I immediately ordered the Sand and waitlisted the Black!

When Jac modeled the sage jacket/skirt and medallion print top (with the chain jewelry) I just loved it, and got it immediately. I wore it a lot and got so many compliments. I also got the black skirt, and recently the black jacket. I am so glad I got both colors on this one! PS I love the medallion top with the cargo pants. These are great pieces that you wont see anywhere else!

Thanks for you reply, Louis. I had no idea you were so versatile! If the jackets look this good straight out of the package, then I am not worried about wrinkles. This one in khaki looks like it will be good for me. The reviews are stellar.

  8. Marcia

    Hi Louis

I ordered and received this jacket and did not notice any wrinkles. The fabric is heavier and wears wonderfully. I was surprised at how great the color looked next to every color in my closet!
I especially liked it with the natural baby cheetah print from last spring.
I just wish that a skirt was ordered ( I know…). First for the “suited” look and secondly- because this is a perfect neutral!
    Marcia

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Did’t think of the natural cheetah…….that should look great. It’s very hard to get a reorder on a pencil skirt..except my knit one? The returns are always just over the limit…..I’ll keep making them but I can never get a chance to bring in new colors on the old ones. It’s not easy coming up with twist on a pencil LOL………….regards, Louis

Louis, I have many of your jackets (and other items) and love most of them. I have the brushed cotton jackets from last spring, and even fresh from the dry cleaners, they look rumpled. I notice many wrinkles in these photos of the cotton/span jacket with zippers, and am wondering if your stylist neglected to press them before photographing, or if there will be a similar problem with wrinkles due to the cotton content? I am not above a few creases, but I hate to look sloppy and unpressed.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Lee,
I am one man show…..designer, photographer and stylist. I did not press or steam them…..This is the way it looks straight out of the bag, unfolded and put on the form. I just don’t have the time to press all of my samples or I will never get done. Considering, nothing was done to them and they have been sitting, folded in a bag for weeks…..they look pretty good. This is a very popular reorder jacket and I have had a lot of success with this fabric. Trust me when I say…..if I had many complaints about this fabric I wouldn’t have used it season after season…..Since this is a reorder style, you have the advantage of reading what other women have said about this jacket. Then you can decide whether it is something you may want to try……..best regards, Louis
