I couldn’t let another minute go by without wishing all our friends in the path of Hurricane Harvey a safe passage. We went through a devastating hurricane a few years ago when we were evacuated. Living on the water is a wonderful thing, but when Mother Nature roars her head there is nothing more frightening. When I heard on the radio, driving home from QVC last night, that one of the mayors from one of the coast Texas towns said if you stayed behind and didn’t evacuate as we told you…..”you should write your social security number with a sharpie on you arm so you can be identified after the storm!”, WOW, I guess you can’t speak any clearer then that. Let’s pray that you all listened to this warning and did the smart thing. Our prayers are with you all!……….

There have been some questions about the quality of the beads used in the Etruscan set. Yes, they are plastic….but….as I always tell you there are all different qualities. These are called Copper Coated Plastic beads, and I have used them many times in the past. You probably own them without realizing it!. These, as someone mistakenly said, are NOT junk!…I take personal offense with this remark…The “plastic” bead is first coated in copper which adheres to the plastic which prevents any pealing what so ever! It’s a chemical thing. Then the beads are replated in the silver tone, gold tone and even the Copper Ox.  Why use copper coated  plastic beads? because they are very light weight, and when you are making a necklace at 72 inches, which no one else does, you want a light weight bead. As I have said I have used this quality many many times before. You may remember the long necklace that came in gold tone oblong beads with clear ruby or emerald beads, also in root beer and chocolate beads….they were copper coated plastic beads. Many of you own the three strand Nugget bead necklace that came in silver tone and gold tone…..yes plastic coated copper beads! When very large beads are used they are not metal….they are usually copper coated plastic beads. For your information the ones that peal are NOT copper coated beads so the plating does not adhere to the bead for very long. These are inferior quality. For those of you who are alway concerned about weight you will love these Etruscan pieces, because they will give you a “statement” look without being weighted down. All I can say is give them a try. I know you will not be disappointed……if it matters to you the models all love them, and they have no idea what they are made of. Don’t let “plastic” scare you away!……on  another note the earring are absolutely weightless, and if you think they are too long for you…..they can be EASILY SHORTENED!…….you should know I would never sell you something of inferior quality. I and TCJC stand behind everything we sell……I will be proudly using Copper Coated beads in the future as I have done in the past, and you will love what’s coming next spring!…much love, Louis

I never give up the ship until it’s underwater and I’m swimming for shore! There is still hope for the Green Patina Etruscan Group and Fish!!!!! The buyers have accepted an end of Sept. delivery, because they realize it has been heavily promoted by me, and many of you have shown a strong interest in the pieces……The factory is getting one last chance to produce the jewelry correctly. If they succeed you will have your Green Patina pieces….if they don’t….well we did the best we could do………Fingers crossed!!………………..I will keep you updated when I know for sure………………..Love…………………………Louis
