…………………….You have heard it from me many many times……….I am enthralled by ancient cultures and the artists who lived in ancient times. These were men and women who had no preconceived  notions about what they created. It came from the heart and their God given talent. They didn’t worry about costs or being commercial……they made what they loved with their hands and the tools that they made……….I had seen beads like these at Jacques Carcanagues store in soho. They came from North Africa. They were real gold and cost thousands of dollars. They were displayed in a locked case for a long time. There were four of them in different lengths. After a time I was told by the manager of the store that a celebrity came in and bought the two longest necklaces……I think it may have been Madonna, at least she hinted at that……..In recreating this necklace we tried to come as close as possible to the irregular conical shape as possible. I wanted the look of hand made….an ARTISAN look……..nothing perfect or highly polished. They had to look like something you would see behind a case in a museum. I think that was accomplished and more….Remember, these pieces are supposed to look ANTIQUE….They are not perfect and are not POLISHED, so if that is what you want…..this is NOT it…………………The necklace is 72 inches long, which is the same length as my pearl necklaces and faceted glass bead necklaces from past collections. This length gives the wearer a lot of choices on how they want to wear it….As you can see in the photos above….it is doubled, tripled and quadrupled. Wearing it quadrupled is when the extender comes in handy. Not everyone will be able to wear it quadrupled, but for those who can it’s a fabulous look…… In between each conical bead, which are approx. 1/2 inches long, there is a small round bead which is there to “frame” the conical bead, and also to make the necklace more flexible……….The necklace will be sold with the drop earring. It has 5 tiny beads linked together, and at the bottom one conical bead. It has a Shepard’s Hook, so it is for pierced ears only. The earring is approx. inches long. If you so choose to make it shorter it’s an easy task. Just remove as many beads from the top and slide the remaining link back onto the Shepard’s Hook………..The bracelet has 5 rows of the conical beads and round spacer beads. The rows are held together with a slim bar at the back. I purposely had the bracelet made looser so it slides down. Of course it will fit everyone differently. It will be avail in one size. It is a stretch bracelet, but it does not look like one. It is a little over 2 inches wide. Since each row is separate it is very comfortable to wear……….These pieces are super light in weight for those who are concerned. The beads are hollow so there is literally no weight to them……..You all know I love abundance, so in the photos to the right you will see TWO necklaces doubled up………Tripled up is a fantastic rich look! I also love mixing the metals….the SILVER with the GOLD, the GREEN PATINA with the GOLD, and the GREEN PATINA with the COPPER…………………….I know you will enjoy wearing these Etruscan pieces for years and years and years. ………………………There are gold LOVERS AND THERE ARE silver LOVERS. As a designer I love all metal colors…….but……if I had to choose only one it would definitely, hands down be GOLD. Now, there are many colors of gold. Some like the look of 12, or 14 karat gold, some like rose gold……..but……..I love 24 karat GOLD. Russian GOLD has the same warm glow and depth as 24 Karat, which is the purest gold used for making jewelry……..I think all of the other metal colors have their place and importance, but there is nothing like Russian Gold and Black!………Extend your wardrobes by mixing your metal colors, as shown above. I love the look of silver and gold mixed. I think the look of mixed metals is becoming more and more accepted…….All of the pictures on the right show two necklaces worn different ways……doubled, tripled and mixed metals. If you haven’t tried it….it’s time you took another step out of the box!………………………………………………………….

………………………………COPPER……………..is a relatively new color for my Linea Jewelry collection, and I love adding a new metal color to the group. The plating color is actually called COPPER OX, Ox being short for oxidation. What oxidation does for the color is give it an antique look. It starts off like a bright shiny new copper penny, and then it is aged. The shine you see is only the flash! Do not expect a shiny finish. For some reason, without the flash, all the pictures looked gold, so I was forced to use it…….With all of the autumnal colors coming for fall, COPPER will be a wonderful accent………In some of the pictures I have layered two for a more dramatic effect……… I know there are many of you who don’t own anything in this copper color. I think the ETRUSCAN GROUP would be the perfect place to start…………………………………..enjoy………..much Love……………………Louis

Hello everyone……..I have some news to share with all of you and I’m afraid it’s a bit disappointing……..None of the Green Patina pieces will be delivered. I am extremely disappointed in this news. It seems that this particular plating and finishing requires just the right weather conditions for it to come out correctly. Unfortunately, it has been non stop rain and extremely humid in this region of China where these pieces are being made. The factory has tried over and over again to plate the beads and the fish, but it has not come out right. My buyers were even willing to take these pieces in later, but the factory can’t guarantee when this will happen…….Since my initial samples came out perfectly, we had no idea this would be an issue until production began. This is truly artisan workmanship, and we were totally unaware of the delicacy of this process……I have been showing the Green Patina pieces for months now , but little did I know the problems we were to face….I know you are as disappointed as I am, but there is much to choose from, and the MINT MIST SPIRIT NECKLACE will work on any outfit you had planned for the Green Patina……..I have not given up on the Green Patina color, but I may be standing alone facing a storm on this one. I was hoping that we could bring it in later in the year when the conditions were right for the process to be done, but that would mean QVC holding back money for months, and I doubt they would be willing to do that. Again, I am very sorry to disappoint, but this was something that is totally out of anyone’s control. If there is any news going forward I will let you all know……………………………………………………..

…………………………..Color, Color, Color…………there is no better way to create a colorful piece of jewelry than a 72″ long FACETED GLASS BEAD NECKLACE!…..J350149 is the style number…..Many of you own a similar necklace that I did a few years ago. It was also 72 inches, and it was made out of the same glass faceted beads. It was avail. in Black Jet, Clear Crystal, Gunmetal and Chocolate…….The major difference between that necklace and this is the CONSTRUCTION. The previous necklace was “strung” with silk string, but there were some problems with the cord, due to the weight of the necklace, separating from the closing [nobody makes 72 inch necklaces]……..This time we have linked the beads together with metal rings, as you can see in the photos. This makes the entire piece much STRONGER……………….What came first….the chicken or the egg? In this case it was a beautiful new WINTER FLORAL PRINT that I fashioned into a beautiful simple blouse. It’s the print that is the focal point. It’s coming in Sept., but you will be able to get the necklace on my up coming jewelry show on Aug. 25, QVC2, at 6:00pm……I selected the color of the beads to match the colors in the floral. I chose to link the beads together with gunmetal links so nothing would detract from the color of the beads. Unfortunately, I could not capture the beauty of all of the beads, but I think you get the idea…..The colors will work with many many things you already own……The WK TUNIC SWEATER above is a new style that will also be avail. in Sept. The color is PARADISE RED…………This is the necklace that will get much attention especially from the little ones who are captivated by colorful sparkly things………………………………………………………..
