……………………………….SAPPHIRE……………….is the second and final choice being offered in this MILANO KNIT SWEATER/JACKET, A267937………It is a beautiful rich gem stone color. It looks great with all black, but I love it punctuated with IVORY………I think it shows the Sapphire to its’ best, and Ivory always adds light to the face. Spark it even more with SILVER or mix your SILVER and GUNMETAL together with your Falling Leaves necklace and earring set. The gunmetal gives the silver additional depth and almost seems like its’ shadow…..adding more texture and mass, but still keeping the delicacy of the pieces………For those of you who NEED color in the coming months, and for those of you who live in more temperate zones….the SAPPHIRE may be just for you……………………………..enjoy…………………..much Love…………….Louis

……………………………..With the total success of last year’s SWING SWEATER, A259620, which I might add is still totally sold out, but will be coming back in Oct, you know I had to follow up with a new twist on the style……….The new style is the SWING SWEATER TURTLENECK, A268137…….The sweater body, and the WK ENR is exactly as the original, nothing has changed…..except the neckline……….I requested my manufacturer to make the exact weight ENR as the original swing sweater…..not to change the fit or anything else about the sweep etc. etc………………so other than the TN you should feel comfortable ordering the same size you did before. For those of you who are new to Linea , and/or missed out on this fabulous sweater, perhaps some of the Linea Ladies can give you the low down on size, fit, shape and how it works for women of all shapes and sizes etc etc……There have been many contenders who have, let’s say, been inspired by this sweater, but none have been as successful……The reason for this is simple……First, no one else uses the Every Needle Rib construction. As I have explained, this setting on the knitting machines uses double the amount of yarn that a jersey sweater uses. The advantage of the ENR is the finished fabric has MUCH MORE BODY, and  the knitted pieces come off the machines with finished bottoms so there is no need to add a tubular finish at the bottom which does not give the sweater as much drape and flow. The ENR knit has more body so it never clings….it just glides over the body. The final reason this sweater isn’t like the others is the addition of the set in gore. This gore starts the ease and flow HIGHER up on the body so when you get down to the hips you have ample room and sweep for the sweater to flow gracefully, whereas many pretenders are still too tight and clingy. Now I have given you all of the secrets as to why this sweater succeeds where others have failed………”They” may call them swing sweaters, but it takes all of these special details to get it RIGHT…..to create a garment of style, quality. ease……as well as comfort………..What other color should I start you off with other than……………..BLACK…………Is this not the PERFECT BLACK sweater or what??….Wear it with absolutely everything hanging in your closets, packed in your bureaus,  and then some…….Jeans, leggings, slim pants, wide leg pants, crop pants midi length coullotes….If you have the BLACK WK Pant…..PERFECTION!….Short skirts, leather skirts, A-line skirts, Boho skirts, long straight skirts………everything from denim to velvet and satin…work with this Swing Sweater..With the right accessories you could even wear it black tie with a long velvet skirt for the holidays and killer sandals…..SUPER CHIC!…..I can’t think of one place where you couldn’t wear this sweater………..Above, I have it shown with my new LINEA LEISURE TUXEDO STRIPE PANT, A268243, in the TOBACCO/BLACK combination….for a more casual outing…..FYI….this outfit looks outrageous under the new ZEBRA COAT coming this month…..and I mean OUTRAGEOUS! It definitely looks like a $4000 outfit….easy………………………….Get ready to rock it with your CHOCOLATE FALLING LEAVES necklace set, as shown above. Absolutely anything you want to accessorize it with will work…………………………………..

………………………………September is here, and Fall is officially about to begin, and I can think of a better way to start than with this light weight zip front jacket, A267878……This is not just any quilted jacket….this is a quilted jacket done the LINEA way…………………There are many details to this jacket that aren’t easy to see, so you may have to click on the picture twice to BLOW IT UP for a better look. The jacket is SUPER LIGHT WEIGHT, so it is the ideal jacket for my southern ladies for the entire winter, and definitely for those with milder climates……..The fabrication of this jacket is a combination of QUILTED POLYESTER with WHISPER KNIT SLEEVES, RIBBED COLLAR, and the entire BACK.  The front panels are DIAMOND quilted, and the side panels and top yoke are VERTICALLY CHANNEL quilted for a more stream line look. The quilting is very light so there is no bulk……The jacket has princess seams which create a gentle shape that glides over the body. This is NOT a BOXY PUFFER jacket…..There are INSEAM POCKETS. The zipper is a one way zipper and is also a nylon zipper, so the tape and teeth are all dyed to match in the ……ALABASTER color…It really looks wonderful all dyed to match….so chose your own accessory color….The collar is made in a WHISPER KNIT 2×2 rib, so it gently hugs the neck without being tight in any way!……The sleeves and the back are done in the JERSEY WHISPER KNIT STITCH and have 2×2 rib starts………..I really want to emphasize the fact that this is FEATHER WEIGHT. You will be very surprised how weightless it is when you take it out of the fabulous shipping package it will inevitably be shipped to you in. It is so light weight that you northerners will be able to wear it as an indoor jacket…….that has a little EDGE…When it’s bitter cold just add a coat, scarf, beret and gloves….It will give you that added layer of protection…..Wear it dressed up or down. It is certainly elegant enough to wear both ways…. This jacket is NUMERICALLY SIZED. It is not fitted. It has an easy shaping, and with the Whisper Knit sleeves and back it is unbelievably COMFORTABLY. There is no need, IMHO, to size up or down. Due to the WK there is plenty of STRETCH…..Jac did try on the size 6, which is her normal B&M size and she felt it was a little roomy, but that’s how she would want a jacket to fit. With a WK sweater you should be fine….With a long sleeve sweater you will definitely be fine. With numerical sizes they should be more accurate to your needs………….The size 6 is approximately 26 inches long……and for me…in this Alabaster color…. it is the perfect length. The care instructions say to turn the garment inside out and machine wash in cold water. I would guess the same method you use in washing you WK sweaters………..In the photo above I have simply layer the jacket with the Alabaster s/s WK sweater, A267882…..the sweater is also avail in BLACK, and it is a MUST HAVE ESSENTIAL in the new med. weight WK….On the bottom……my Black MOSS CREPE SKIRT, A262454. I also have it with my Black WK pant, but I have a new quality SUPER PONTE pant in a modified BOOT CUT coming in OCT that will work beautifully too……As I look at my sketch I have to say my manufacturer captured it perfectly. The only change we made, after seeing the first sample, was changing the knit from a Milano stitch to a jersey. The Milano wasn’t right with the softness and lightness of the jacket…….trial and error….that’s what designing is about…..There are zillions of quilted jackets out there avail to you, but I promise, none are quite like this……..Happy Fall………………,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,…..enjoy…………………..much Love…………………Louis
