March “SNEAK PEEK #3”

An extra weekend bonus …….Sneak Peek #3″. Actually, a sneak peek infers something you haven’t seen, but this sneak peek is more of a reminder. The A213621, PEBBLE CREPE TUNIC, is probably one of my most universally accepted pieces. It sold out last year and the returns were extremely low…..which makes for a very successful item. I think there are many reasons for the success of this top. It is deceivingly simple……it’s only when you get it home can you appreciate all the work that has gone into this little top…….the separate bands that frame it and accentuate the shape also help it to drape properly. The patch pockets with the inserted bison detail, and the shape, proportion and fit all add up to the perfect little tunic. The fact that you can change the look of it with every wearing, depending on how you accessorize it makes it a very versatile garment. Many of you own it and many of you have already received the new colors……AQUAMARINE and NAVY…..the returning colors are COFFEE BEAN and BLACK. There are countless ways to wear this piece and there are new and old pebble crepe pieces you can mix and match with this top. Last seasons pebble crepe long pull-on pant, A215175, works with this top beautifully and is still avail in limited sizes and colors. The A221804, long straight pebble crepe skirt in black, sand and terracotta is the perfect proportion for this shorter top. The A223661, two tiered pebble crepe long skirt is coming in April and is one of my favorite pieces with this top and many others. Skirts with fullness are a major trend, but must have controlled fullness to be successful……I believe I have achieved that with this skirt…..it’s something new. It is pictured above in the Aquamarine with the matching top and also in Black, sneak peek #1, with the white denim jacket. For all of you that own it and swear by the comfort of the fabric, I need not say another word…….for those of you who are being introduced to this top and fabric for the first time……I suggest you read the reviews that so many Linea Ladies have given……..their testimonial says it all………enjoy, Louis

March “SNEAK PEEK #2”

Sneak Peek # 2 is style A222275. This is a poly/span t-shirt which is the exact same fabric and fit as the cheetah t-shirt A214114. The print is Pucci inspired, but was designed and sketched by me…….my ode to Pucci. The color names are simply BLUE, PINK and YELLOW, but they are anything but simple. In each print there are 5 colors plus white. The blue has 5 shades of blue from the palest blue, CHAMBRAY BLUE, as the new boho skirt, to my dark navy. The pink ranges from wine and red to PERFECTLY PINK, again a perfect match to the P.P. boho. The yellow has a wonderful mixture of the palest lemon, pure yellow and TOBACCO. For all of you that already own the tobacco side zip Capri pants or the two tiered yellow georgette skirt from last spring…….the colors are great together. This is a fun print to wear with your new jeans or under your navy blazer with the gold buttons or your ivory blazer with the pearl buttons and your Linea navy acrylic/wool knit skirt [as in photo]. There are many things in your closet that will look great with these tops. Wash and wear…..easy care….great travel pieces! I want you to know these are “random cut” so no two t-shirt with be exactly alike…..it really doesn’t matter they all look great. I think this is the perfect piece to perk up your spring/summer wardrobes. Take a good peek and see if it is something you would enjoy wearing……….Love, Louis

March, #1 SNEAK PEEK

Hello Everyone! It is March 1st and time to start showing Sneak Peeks for my up coming March appearances. My dates and times are as follows: 3/29, 6:00am and 11:00am. 3/30. 6:00am and 3/31. 8:00am

The first item is the long awaited DENIM JACKET, A222543 and BOOT CUT PANT, A222548. First the fabric…..looking at denim fabric lines is a world unto itself. You would never guess how many types and variations of denim exist….literally hundreds….it can become overwhelming. After a while you just say STOP, because they all start looking and feeling alike. I knew I wanted the fabric to be light in weight, I knew I wanted it to be washed and have both a casual and dressed up look….stretch… of course. I am very pleased with the fabric I selected because it looks exactly how I had hoped the pieces would……..casual and dressy….meaning you can wear it every day or  for a more dressed up occasion. It is a blend of 72% cotton, 26% polyester and 2% spandex. The colors, INDIGO, BLACK and WHITE. There is a TWO TONE effect as most denims have, so the indigo and black are NOT solid colors as a cotton sateen would be….DENIM. The jacket is SHAPED and has three shaping seams in the front. There are narrow INSET band pockets [always a sign of better workmanship] and THREE SIGNATURE GOLD BUTTONS for the front closure. The long sleeve has THREE WORKING SIGNATURE BUTTONS which can be unbuttoned and turned back to reveal a wide facing…..no lining showing here! The jacket is fully lined in my satin lining……. THE BACK …..The back has FIVE shaping seams!!! As you can see from the white jacket photo on the extreme left there is also a BACK PEPLUM, which has turned out to be one of the most important details of the season and going forward into next fall. I think it gives this some what classic blazer a feminine and flirtatious touch…..also…. a good deal of sex appeal! If I had to compare the fit of this jacket to a previous jacket I would say it is closest to the navy, red or ivory jacket from last month. It also has a beautifully shaped and proportioned collar and lapel which in the craft of jacket making….is an art unto itself. The boot cut pant has a zip front with a gold signature button. It is a flat front with a full elastic back, so there is plenty of stretch. It has a regular waist band [in one of the pictures it looks like a high rise waist  but it isn’t]. There are front pockets only. The inseam is approx. 31-32 inches with a 1 inch hem. They do not come in petite lengths. The colors are the same as the jacket. The pant is unlined so it will be perfect for now and through the summer and fall….actually you can wear them all year long. Examine the photos for all the details. I have put it together with the Kate shirt, tanks and t-shirts and the new 2 tier pebble crepe skirt in black. There are zillions of ways to mix and combine these pieces with things you already own….i.e. the black/gray or navy/blue mosaic print boho skirt.

I thought these would be two good pieces to start the new sneak peek series off with because they are very versatile and will coordinate with many pieces to come………………..much Love, Louis
