“JANUARY SNEAK PEEK, THE TSV CON’T”

The last collage of photographs is the A230883, the WHISPER KNIT SWEATER. This sweater is available in ALL of the colors that the TSV JACKET comes in…..IVORY…..BLACK….NAVY…..CORAL….SEA GREEN…..IRIS……. I really don’t have to tell you the virtues of Whisper Knit……you know them all already!!….the comfort, the easy care, and the glorious colors have been spoken of many times. The only question was…..what would be the right style to go with the TSV jacket. I chose a scoop neck short sleeve style that I felt can be something you can wear all year long, casual or dressy, and mix with many things you already own…….a great neckline for showing off your jewelry……and don’t be afraid to mix your metals…..it’s a happening look! The sleeve is a short sleeve, but not too short, and hits above the elbow…….of course, depending on your arm length and proportion. There is a tubular finish at the neckline, and the sleeve has a 2 1/2 inch ribbed border. The sweater measures 23 inches long for the xs. It also has an 8 inch rib border…..or as some call it…… “a waist whittling border”. I know this will be a welcome addition to your already bulging collection of WHISPER KNITS…………..I sincerely hope……. all that I have shown you for my first TSV in years and it’s companion pieces …….. is something you might consider………………………………………………………

……………………………………………….Enjoy…………..MUCH LOVE……………………………Louis

LDO–I’m always an XS in whisper knit tops but the measurement for that size (chest) is 32? Is this just super stretchy or is this cut smaller than the turtleneck?

I really don’t know but I have heard people think that turtle neck, in spite of it’s success, is a little big. I don’t find my xs samples small at all

Well, I’m ordering true to my Linea size and expect good things. Thanks for the reply!

Louis, I usually wear an XS in the WKs. However I needed an XXS in the WK long sleeve WW sweater, A210360, which is one of my favorite sweaters – I have all 4 colors. Does this new sweater fit like the long sleeve one? Thanks.

I really don’t know the difference between the two , fit wise, but know these were fit as spring sweaters I would guess you should take your normal WK size, but that’s a guess.

Dear Jean…..I want you to know I never change the weight of the WK, unless it is a very specific style that is done in the ENR [every needle rib], as the WK pant was made in. 90% of the WK sweaters are in the regular jersey stitch. I have read some discussions about the feel of certain sweaters and whether they are lighter or not. That can be due to many things. Color can be a factor. The yarn for some colors, like very dark colors, has to stay in the vats longer and the yarn becomes slightly heavier. Likewise, pale colors can feel lighter. Also, the tension on the machines, and the humidity when the sweaters are knitted, can all have an effect on the feel of the knitted fabric. Sweaters knit in the summer can have a slightly different hand than those knitted in the winter. The type of yarn also plays a big part in how it is affected. After many years of working in sweater factories in Europe, I have become aware of all of these little idiosyncrasies that occur when making knitted fabric. I can assure you if one sweater is slightly lighter or heavier than another , this was not done intentionally. I just thought you would like to know….regards, Louis

Yes, I greatly appreciate the info. Being fairly new to Linea, I didn’t know the cardigan and sweater I listed below were actually WK as opposed to some other knit (doesn’t specify that on QVC). I just knew I loved them. Good to know this new item will be the same weight and feel as those… or very close.

Yay!!! I’m so happy to see this waist rib detail design back. I have it in the cardigan A217983 and long-sleeve sweater A210360 and absolutely love it. One of my Linea favorites! I’m guessing this Whisper Knit might be a lighter weight knit than the others, but I’m sure the fit will be just as perfect. Thanks for the Sneak Peek!
