MONDAY, JANUARY 28th, PM STYLE

Hi Everyone……..hope all is well with you. Jac and I got home from our little mini trip a few days ago. We were visiting friends, the weather was in the high 70s and all was well with the world……until……I was in a fender bender! My friend was driving, and I was in the front passenger side. Jac was at the hotel getting things together, so my friend and I decided to make a quick run and get some water and juice for the room. We were second in line at a red light…..sitting chatting….when POW some idiot young girl in a BIG SUV plowed right into us crashing my friend’s car into the car in fr0nt. The girl was TEXTING and didn’t realize the light had changed. A police car was sitting in a gas station and he saw everything so we didn’t need to explain a thing. The air bag went off , and smashed me in the face breaking my sunglasses. End of story is…. my friends car was totaled, the car in front had lots of damage and the girls SUV had plenty of damage too. HerΒ  daddy came and said he would take care of everything. From the car he was driving and the solid gold Rolex on this 20 year old bimbos wrist….I’m sure he could and did. He rented my friend a car immediately. Thank God my eye wasn’t injured…..just my face. It swelled like a balloon and the whites of my eyes were beet red. The doctor there checked me out and my own doctor did too. All is well….I’m just not too pretty at the moment. Needless to say, what was going to be a 10 minute run lasted 2 hours…..Jac was doing cartwheels. I’m just glad she wasn’t in the car with us. Moral of thestory………DON’T TEXT AND DRIVE!!!!!!

The reason I have posted this dress again is because I will be finally presenting it this Monday on PM STYLE. The style number is A231141. I think it’s a fabulous dress with wonderful, unexpected neckline. The fabric is a wonder All the details are posted on my QVC Linea site. I just have the one item so I hope you will be there……enjoy, much Love, Louis.

SOOOOOOOOO glad you and your friend were not seriously injured!

    Hi Louis-
Thank goodness your injuries were not any worse (although I’m sure your muscles felt like you were hit by a Mack truck!) and you are on the mend. We’re fortunate in my state (MD) that we have a strict distracted driving law: no texting, talking, reading texts, etc. I wish all other states would enact one.
I’m looking forward to the shows on Monday and Feb. Your winter collection is a godsend to me on these freezing days. I love the whisper knit pants/top collection.
I pulled out an oldie yesterday. A83973,the heavy ribbed cardigan sweater with faux leather trim and gold buttons. I have the black and tan and they still get compliments!
Short questions, if you don’t mind. Will the putty color jacket go well with the pale olive short sleeve top? Can it be worn with the mushroom WK tneck?
Relax, rest as much as possible and we’ll see you and Jac on Monday-

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judy….I pulled my samples out and looked at each one with the putty python jacket and neither the pale olive or the mushrooms works. The mushroom is too “pink” next to the putty and just wrong….. and the olive is just odd with it. Let me also say something about mixing “odd” colors…..I would never recommend putting together colors that I felt most people wouldn’t get…..however, if you look at the fashion magazines you will see the strangest combinations ever…..so….there is always a way to make odd combos work with a sure hand and just the right accessories, but it is a slippery slope from looking “fashion chic” to looking like you got dressed in the dark…..know what I mean?

        Thanks, Louis!
I understand completely. I prefer to make a good statement when coordinating my wardrobe, not the awful question “What was she thinking”?!
I’m sure you will have several items to coordinate nicely.
I appreciate your prompt reply πŸ™‚

Oh Louis! Your description of your accident was just as vivid as the ones you give us for your fab designs. I was right there with you! Along with everyone else here, I wish you a speedy recovery. Thank goodness for the limitation on physical injury. I also agree—stiffer penalties for texting while driving–long overdue. Can hardly wait to “see” you and your designs again. I especially like the tarragon, that I mix with shades of pink for extra fun.

Thank goodness you are safe. Try to take good care of yourselves.

Glad you’re doing better day by day! Both I and our college-aged daughter have been rear-ended by drivers with their minds anywhere but on what they were doing–namely driving! Neither time were we injured but our cars were out of service for weeks. This girl needs to learn something from this, not just get her hand slapped and another car from her father!

  6. Claudia (chprsp)

Texting while driving is so dangerous. Glad to hear you and your friend were able to walk away from the accident. My brother’s car was totaled last spring. The airbag hit his face. Like you nothing was broken but oh the swelling.

    Dear Louis,

Joining the chorus to say, thank goodness you and your friend came out alive. Saying some prayers of gratitude!

  8. Celia

Louis, I hope you are starting to feel better. I am glad you have seen a couple of doctors. You can count on the fact that your loyal fans will be wishing you the best on Monday!

    Louis,

Ice (or a bag of frozen peas) wrapped in a dish towel can offer some relief from the pain and swelling. You are very lucky indeed. I don’t know why the courts are not more severe with texting and driving. It’s grossly and willfully negligent and presents a lethal danger to drivers, passengers, cyclists, and pedestrians. I hope she realizes the danger she put herself and others in with her behavior. I am so glad you and your friend walked away from that one.

Looking forward to your presentation on Monday. Can’t wait to see these items on the models.

I ‘ve been icing for a few days and it’s much better. The doctor also gave me a prescription for drops that have been great. I am still a little black and blue, but it getting better.

OH LOUIS! I feel for you. The exact same scenario happened to me only my car was sandwiched between two trucks. I got out of the car laughing; I couldn’t believe I was still alive. Nurse those muscle aches! I’m happy to learn that you are OK!

  11. Waterbaby

Oh, Louis! These things happen in a flash and usually caused by people like the “bimbo”. Tell us how you really feel πŸ™‚ I am relieved that you and your friend are OK and that your injuries were not any worse. I am delighted that you will be on Monday morning and also PM Style. I am crazy about both pieces and I will for sure get the jacket in purple. Thanks again for such marvelous work. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Many blessings, Fran

What a dreadful thing to happen .. anytime, much less on vacation. I’m so relieved you weren’t hurt badly.. but I’m sure you and Jac were both shaken up!
I’m glad there will be a presentation of this dress and the new top on Monday. Travel safely~

  13. Sharon Santourian-Holman

Why do these idiots still text while driving?! I won’t even use my phone while driving…..sorry this happened to you and your friend. Glad you’re ok.

  14. Seka

    Hello Louis,

What a vacation! Glad that you are alright – being sandwiched between 2 cars – you were both very lucky!

    Take time to recuperate!

    Regards,
    Seka.

Lord Have Mercy!!! Glad you were not hurt any more than you were, especially as the car was totaled. IMO there need to be STIFF penalties for texting or phoning when driving. And NOT just a stiff fine that Daddy can pay off! Community service for the young lady….

  16. Goldie76

    Dear Louis,

I am saddened to hear about your accident. Sit put, relax, follow doctor’s orders, let the swelling go down and become our handsome designer guy again. πŸ™‚

May you heal quickly! God bless.

    Best regards,

    Maria (Goldie76)

  17. Chris/Jazzmom

Thank goodness your nose didn’t get broken! Thank goodness for air bags!
    The new items look lovely!
