“THE SILVER EMBROIDERED SKIRT IS NOW AVAIL!”

……………………I know so many of you have been waiting patiently to see the new SILVER EMBROIDERED TULLE SKIRT, A351463, for the reg, and A351464, for the petite. For those of you who missed out the first time around when it was offered in the Latte [which is returning], and the Vivid Blue….it is a two tiered, pull-on long skirt. It is incredibly embroidered with SILVER TONE thread on SOFT BLACK TULLE. The skirt is lined in stretch silky tricot knit, and the waist band is also made in the silky tricot knit so it is smooth against the skin………The skirt is made beautifully and every detail was thought through….including piping the horizontal seam of the single tier for reinforcement……..This is a skirt to celebrate life in! If you say you don’t have anywhere to wear it? I say create the occasion! This is the perfect time to have a dress up Thanksgiving or Holiday party….Make this Christmas Eve, Hanukkah and Christmas Day an even more special day by dressing up….If you are getting together with family and friends…..dress up….WHY NOT!!! You only live once!!!! With what is going on in the world this is the time to CELEBRATE LIFE!

In the photos above I have some suggestions on how to wear your new skirt…..Starting at the left……The new Black Lantern Sleeve WK sweater, A385149, worn with the new CRYSTAL/SILVER Cascade necklace and earring [style number not avail]…….next, the Lt. Hthr Grey WK elbow sleeve sweater, A347450, is perfect with the silver emb. and  a nice alternative to black. Worn with the grey sweater the TWISTED SISTER necklace and earring, J484174, in the silvertone…….next the Black WK sleeveless TN, A384496, and the BIG DEAL WK BLACK CARDIGAN, A384382. With this set I have the TWISTED SISTER necklace in the Black jet and Silver glass beads……………….Now you have the clothes and the jewelry…..what are you going to do with your legs????Yes, your legs need to be taken care of too….so I would recommend my Linea SHEER TIGHTS in either SMOKE or sheer BLACK, A444410. A beautiful low cut pump in suede or satin would be my choice. For my fashionistas who always take the extra step…..I would highly recommend my POINT D’ESPRIT or LACE tights, A440949…A party on the legs!..Fabulous!!…….Besides all of the jewelry above, I also would suggest you look at the following pieces which are ALL on SALE for TODAY ONLY!!!!…….J489007, the Sterling Silver bracelet…..J489929, the Sterling Silver earring…….J489931, the Sterling Silver ring……………J393306, the twisted Bugle Bead necklace in either Silver or Black…….J482462, the Bistro necklace and earring in the silvertone and gunmetal combo…….J483112, the El Morocco necklace in silvertone or gunmetal……J483106, the pave crystal button earring in silvertone, gunmetal or silver ox……..You may already own some of these pieces, and if you don’t take advantage of the sale…..the low prices are ridiculous!………….Ladies….if you have any interest in this skirt DO NOT HESITATE. The quantities are not large, and I’m sure when the ladies are totally aware that this is avail., and my pictures are posted they won’t last long!………………enjoy…………………….much Love…………………………..Louis

I could not purchase the black/silver and Latte/black fast enough. I have many occasions to wear these beautiful skirts coming up. Thanks!

  2. Carol

Thanks, Louis for the answer about a new top, but when I posted that I had not noticed the moss crepe top with the wrap neckline. So now I’m truly torn. I know there’s sequin pants on the way, too. In my very favorite midnight blue.

When you say jump, Louis, I usually do! And I’m never sorry for what I do buy. Only what I don’t.

I also purchased the silver–too stunning to pass up–even though I have this gorgeous skirt in sapphire and latte. I agree with Sheesh. The silver is easier to dress down and wear more casually. I also think it works year round (white cotton, silk, linen shirt belted or tied, t-shirt), but I’m thinking I’ll wear it over the holidays at home with the new black WK TN & Linea black glass bead drop earrings or silver hoops. Simple/elegant and not too fancy. My older son is getting married (no date set yet), but I know one of these beautiful skirts will be involved 😉 Dressing it up is a no-brainer with all the Linea jewelry options for all the dressy occasions to come. Those times WILL be back, but in the meantime, we can downplay it or glam it up at home.

Nancy, that story about the wedding in Maine has not only made it all over the country, but made it all over the world! I’ve been following it in the Boston Globe. I sent a link to the story to my friend who is throwing the wedding this Saturday on Long Island. I do hope it goes will for them. It’s a second wedding for the bride–I flew in from my apartment in Paris for the first wedding in 2006 or 2007! I’m sending a check!

Now for the Silver Embroidered Skirt–I actually think it could be the most “casual” of the three colors (of course, I use that term loosely). I’m looking forward to wearing it with the Black Big Deal Cardigan and the Mock Sleeveless T-neck and Black Suede Boots. I have all kinds of options for jewelry. I’ll do the same with the Latte and the Bisque Whisper Knits. I agree we have gotten quite casual with Thanksgiving and the Holidays over the years. Time to bring back the glamour!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could all DRESS UP, get together on a FB Live or Zoom meeting, and host our own Linea Holiday Party in our Linea finery?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Cathy….that would be wonderful! I truly believe we can’t sit around and wait for life to happen to us. We have to create it!

  6. Nancy

    Oh Louis!
I’m about to order this lovely skirt!
I have the Latte which I wore at Christmas.

Who knows what the holidays will look like this year but I’ll be wearing the Silver Skirt!
I buy the Petite length .. even though I’m 5’10”.
The skirt is a lovely ankle skimming length.

Thank you for this lovely treat!!

There are always a few exceptional garments a woman owns that can never be replaced, are exquisite looking, or have fond memories wearing it at an event. For me, I keep these, without question. I have both the blue and latte skirts and these will join my “forever keepers”. They hold a place next to a designer, formal silk dirndl, embroidered lace blouse and silk matching jacket my husband bought me in Salzburg, Austria to attend a formal Christmas concert. I also treasure the many brightly colored sequin scarves and wraps Joan Rivers sold. You cannot find things like this anymore. And, there a few others. Even though parties this holiday will not happen, I am already planning a few at home formal evenings.. Why not? Louis, thanks for creating items that make this senior Wisconsin farm girl feel elegant and beautiful.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Jackie….I’m with you. We don’t have to depend on others to create occasions for us to dress up…..Let’s create our own ocassions.

  8. Carol

I love the silver version of this skirt. I’m still on the fence about ordering since I have the blue and the latte. I wore the latte last year to DH’s holiday office party with a black top scattered with tiny sequins. I did wear champagne mid heel satin shoes with it. The outfit was a hit. Since there will be no party this year due to the fact that his company is on round 4 of layoffs this year. DH was in round one so he’s officially retired. But we do go on a lot of cruises and adventures, so I’m still on the fence.

If, however, I was to hear that a new top that coordinates with this skirt is on the horizon, I’d be all in. If only there was some way to predict…..

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol….I do have new tops planned that will work with all of the emb. skirts coming in Nov…………..jump off the fence….you won’t be sorry!

  9. Chris/Jazzmom

The skirt looks lovely in the new color! Good idea to stay away from any social gathering until we all get excellent control of CV. We were supposed to head to Philly for a wedding in early September, but ended up not attending. The couple next year will have a brief ceremony & celebration next year. The couple married with only immediate family attending. We already sent a gift.

re: #7 — that’s exactly the outfit I had imagined. Silvertone Twisted Sister already on its way, thanks to the sale price. Thanks for checking!

  11. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Sheila, good decision regarding corona virus and not social distancing enough at a wedding. Up here in Maine we are all kind of traumatized over the wedding that took place in Millinocket, Maine in Aug from which, last I checked, 3 have died from covid contracted from a guest, and over 147 cases have proliferated off from that one wedding reception alone. That’s a lot of suffering! Send a gift and a great card. SO worth it to not take the chance.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy….that’s an horrific story. Due to one couples selfishness, and the foolishness of those who attended, so many have now suffered. This message should be sent to the wedding party that Shelia isn’t going to. What amazes me is people just don’t get it. Are they stupid or totally selfish.. I have seen as few people walk into Shop Rite. a large grocery store with masks on and then tale them off!!! I went to the head of the store and told him what I saw and that he should walk around and throw these people out!

  12. makp

Will the dove grey leather jacket work with the new silver skirt?
Will there be any other light heather grey sweaters coming since the one you show is sold out in smaller sizes? Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Makp….I checked, and to my eye they do work. I did put the sleeveless WKTN under it with the silvertone Twisted Sister necklace, J484174. I thought it really pulled it all together.

  13. Patty

Love the silver skirt, Louis! Beautiful!!!
I bought the blue skirt last November and my husband liked it so much that he said I could also order the gold one.
So, I ordered one in the regular length and the other in petite. Options! 🙂
I haven’t had a chance to wear them yet.
All of our big occasions in 2020 were cancelled due to the virus.
    But hopefully next year!
Hmmm… Should I get the silver skirt as well.
The skirts are beautiful & very comfortable!
    Well done, Louis! Well done!

  14. Melissa W

Wow! The silver is stunning! Especially love it with the twisted sister necklaces. Nice to see it paired with the blouson WK sweater as I wondered how that would look. I hope I get the one I ordered in black. Darn backorder…

I have and love the latte skirt. I haven’t worn it yet but figured I’d wear it with a black top and the tan glitterati necklace. However, your pics make me glad I got the bisque tank as an alternative. I have the black tassel necklace too.

This is such a special skirt. Every color you’ve done is a knockout. I hope I have an occasion to wear mine soon!

  15. Cathy in PA

Brilliant in Silver 🙂 Never would have thought of pairing the silver skirt with the light grey sweater, and how lovely that looks! Wise move, Sheila, stay safe please.

  16. Sarah

    Sheila
Good decision about recognizing a situation that is a risk to you.
You are a bad influence on me- I think I’m breaking down and will order my third skirt too!
After all I already have the silver park avenue…
Okay- going for it- you convinced me how these are beautiful and do not come along everyday
thanks from me, not my cc
    Sarah

I just HAD to get the Silver skirt! There was no stopping me! I have the Latte and the Blue, too. I was supposed to be wearing the Blue skirt to the wedding at the Centerport, Long Island Yacht Club a week from today, but I’m not going as the people attending have not been practicing social isolation. Not taking the risk! Sheila
