“THE CARAMEL BIG DEAL TOPPER”

……………………This Oct I am introducing the last BIG DEAL of the year…………..The BIG DEAL TOPPER, A389959………The topper is made in the TCF, so it is very structured and beautifully tailored. When Elaine, the wonderful woman who I have been working with for the past 20 plus years, saw the finished production jacket she called me and told me it was absolutely beautiful. Elaine is not one to pat herself on the back, so I knew it must be fabulous…..and it is. The silhouette is simple, but there are many subtle details that make it wonderful….As I said the jacket is made in the trench coat fabric, so you know how precise it looks. The topper is approx. 32 1/2 inches long for the size 4. If you feel you must shorten it there are approx. 3 1/2 inches at the bottom before you get to the zipper. This will not hurt the look of the jacket because you would wear the bottom unzipped anyway…..It is numerically sized. It has a V-neckline that for me has the perfect depth. It works with many styles of collars from a classic jewel and turtle neck. to all types of shirt collars, and the knew wrap neck collar was designed and fitted to work perfectly with the Topper……..The topper has a 2 WAY ZIP so you can style it anyway you like. I always like it unzipped at the bottom. How high up is up to you. With all 2 way zippers you must always pay attention and make sure the zippers are “anchored” correctly before trying to zip them. Sometimes new zippers can stick a little. I always suggest  running a bar of soap up and down on the zipper…..This is a trick my mother taught me years ago with Ivory soap….The topper has PRINCESS SEAMS and BODY SEAMS from the center of the shoulder to the hem of the jacket which give the topper its’ graceful shape……There is a hidden pocket in the Princess Seam……The back has a panel for shaping so the back doesn’t get boxy…..This topper has the classic Linea shoulder line created with a should pad and shoulder filler……………It is completely lined in satin. This topper was meant to be worn as you would a blazer, but it can also be worn as a light spring topper/coat….Remember the trench coat and the riding jacket were done in the SAME fabric…………Above, from left to right is the Caramel Super Ponte pant with the new Caramel split collar WK sweater. The Gypsy coin necklace looks incredible on it….The new Ivory classic TN looks fresh and clean with the caramel Fez necklace…….For some print fun both the Caramel Ombre Leopard print and the Caramel Cheetah print tops work perfectly……..As for bottoms you can basically wear almost anything from long and short WK skirts, the pencil skirt in the TCF, slim pants, crop pants and boot cut pants which are above in the Caramel. With the print tops I have the Walnut jean and the black slim pant….The faux suede pants look great too……………….enjoy exploring all of the tops and bottoms you already own……………………………….much Love………………………Louis

Dear Louis, thank you for the wonderful video on all the blazers for the fall season. I have purchased all of them except the hooded jacquard. I love how you educated us on how they are all different. I made up my mind that I would purchase the toppers and I can’t wait for them to become available. Two or three of the colors are calling my name for me and my mom. Your designs are all so exquisite. I have not been able to wear the blazers yet, but now that I am back home in Chicago after being quarantined in California for 7 months, I will be bringing them out this week. I love everything that I have purchased and will be finishing up my reviews on QVC. I am so excited for the Holiday Collections. You are God sent Louis. Thank you, thank you once again for all that you do for us.

Louis, These toppers are amazing!!!! Oh, how to choose colors. Would you suggest buying the topper in the same size as our trenches. Actually, I have the original trenches in three sizes—and love them all. Thanks for all your gorgeous creations.

Dear Karla, since these are not meant to be coats, even thought in warmer climates they would be heavy enough, you should buy them in your blazer size.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Karla…..you should buy them in your blazer size, not a coat size un less you plan on wearing them only as a coat

I am with SEKA ? #14 Please tell us about the color of the 2-way zippers.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Karen and Seka…..the Ivory has a gold zipper….the red and caramel have antique brass zippers, the sapphire has a gunmetal zipper and the black has a matte black zipper…..I chose zipper colors that did not stand out, but blended with the jackets

Any chance you will be reordering A347450 whisper knit scoop neck sweater?

I wore my new Linea bisque/charcoal blazer last night with Linea bisque tank and Linea bisque pants. The new Linea bisque/charcoal jacket is a beauty!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joanne….that style has not been reordered

Dear Louis, Your autumn designs are so beautiful. I bought the cardigans and long skirt in three colors along with your other designs. I love your sketches, your explanations of the details, the talent that results in special clothing that makes us feel so good even when things are not…
I want all of the colors in your upcoming topper so it will be so difficult to choose. I want to buy your designs for a long time.

Louis, What colour is the 2-Way Zipper, please – I’ve tried to enlarge the photos but I still can’t make out the colour.
    Thank you.

I still use Ivory bar soap!

Wishing you good health and safety.

    Lovely. The simplicity is perfect.

    Hi Louis,

Can the sleeves be turned back without the lining showing or will I have to have the sleeves shortened?

    Pat

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Pat….you will have to shorten them. The inside facing isn’t made for a turn back.

Just looking at this delicious topper makes me want to buy every color and I know the cut will be very slimming.

There better be a “buy more, save more” with this one because it is too difficult to choose just one!

  12. Nikki

    Wow, Stunning!!!
I think I want them all, you make such beautiful clothes that it makes me happy and feel confident.

  13. Seka

Louis, Thank you for posting this magnificent Sneak Peek! I LOVE the simplicity of this Topper! And how wonderful that Elaine called to tell you it was absolutely beautiful!

The colour options are going to make choosing difficult. Will try very hard to not choose the Black. The Ivory is a must-have! And then I think I will get the Caramel!

    Seka.
