“MAY 03 CON’T”

…………….Since May was my Anniversary I was given a second date for a show with a whole new group…..This second May 03 group had a tropical vibe……there was a crinkle silk georgette tunic in a large palm print. It was in two colors….black with tan and aqua and taupe…….the FUJI SILK tunic was so soft and flowy on the body. The fabric had a sand washed finish that made it feel like talc……..It was just wonderful to wear and felt incredible on the body…..the women loved this fabric, and were upset when I was forced to give it up. The buyers would not accept the higher pricing…….Next the silk and cotton ballet neck sweater had 3/4 sleeves in aqua, peach and cocoa…..The tank was a silk and cotton knit too…..it came in black, ivory, cocoa, aqua and coral….The silk and cotton blend became another casualty of silk price increases…the pant was in linen and rayon, and the skirt was a reorder knit skirt in new colors……

I remember Fugi Silk. It was sort of a light weight shantung, I think. How soon after you introduced this
fabric were you forced to give it up, Louis? You would think that any vendor dealing with the volume QVC requires, would be happy to shave off a little, and then make it up on the next order. Was QVC that difficult to deal with?? Didn’t you say the women LOVED this fabric????????

Fuji wasn’t like a shantung which has a crisp feel. Fuji is more like a heavier silk crepe de Chine with a sand washed or talc very soft feel. I don’t remember when China raised the price of silk and we had to discontinue using it, but the increase was substantial, and way beyond what QVC would spend. Now I am seeing some new lines where the clothes are very expensive. Obviously the rules don’t apply to every vendor.

There are so many items I want! Seeing I did not discover Linea early on. I do have a lot of the suede including that color block purse / tote. Its hard for me to believe there will bo longer be Linea! I love the floral tunic!!

I have the aqua/taupe, I think. I used to, I know that. I loved it. It worked really well with olive bottoms.
