“VIOLET”

A72448, the WHISPER KNIT TURTLE NECK is now avail in the VIOLET……I know some have already purchased it sight unseen, so I thought I should post this collage of the VIOLET color so those of you who were going to wait for the show could get an advanced look. The new colors are always the first to sell out. The color is a wonderful deep saturated accent that will work with many things you already own……a pair of jeans is all you need. The new purple pearls are also featured along with the up coming WHISPER KNIT PENCIL SKIRT made in the Every Needle Rib…..All the info on the skirt will be coming…………..remember, if you want it….don’t wait for the show or it will be gone for another year!……………..enjoy………………much Love…………….Louis

Louis, another question from a “new” purple person. The purple and grey pearls look so similar on my laptop. I once owned a purple car that looked silver. Trust me, a new to purple person does not buy a purple car.

Do the purple and silver look very similar in real life?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

They really are not similar. The colors can not be mistaken for one another in real life.

  2. Deirdre

    Louis,

Will this violet turtleneck match to your purple suede jacket?

    Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Deirdre……I checked my samples, and all though they both have the same depth of color, the suede is bluer than the TN, which has more red, so no they are not a match

  3. Andrea

Will the violet sweater go with the purple short boho with the pleated bottom? I know I can wear other colors but I am new to the purple family and wouldn’t have much to wear it with?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Andrea……I checked my samples to be sure the purples were compatible, and they are. The Violet sweater is deeper and more saturated due to the yarn, and the fact that the skirt is georgette, but they look good together. There are many color bottoms you can wear with the violet sweater.

Louis, will this color of violet work with the violet jacket A229475 from last year?
    thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear nikki…..yes, the Violet sweater matched the seamed wool blend jacket from last year…..it however is not as good a match to the hounds tooth check jacket and skirt in the purple and black combination. I prefer black or ivory being worn with the HTC jacket and skirt.

I have my violet sweater and the pearls. Oh La La Love Love

Such exciting news of the WK skirt! I adore Linea knits for a comfy column of color to simply complete with the jacket ‘flavor’ of the day! Especially on a hectic Monday morn for grab ‘n go… Will this upcoming piece have a lining for good drape, if needed?

I travel with your knits often & show up looking highly polished! My friends 20-something daughters are emulating my style – they love knits & your Tweed jackets have graced several colleges last season. Stay inspired Dear Louis.

Hi Louis: just to let everyone know who may have the Sweetpotato big button 3/4 jacket from eons ago, it looks great with the brown/topaz hi -lo skirt. its unseasonably cool here on the SoCal coast and it was the perfect weight for last night when the fog moved in. Louis, your clothes are indeed the “gift that keeps giving” ( in the best possible way!!). The new nutmeg faux silk pieces also look good with that color combo…thanks for all the foresight you put into your colors…you are the Steve Jobs of fashion! Looking forward to the new items…(I’m the one who wrote you from Bulgaria, on the Danube River cruise that wasn’t. We saw Eastern Europe by bus…but how many people can say they saw an Hungarian horse show with actual Hungarian cowboys…in Hungary…. With Hungarian goulash for lunch afterwards….). But I looked great in Linea….

I loved that sweet potato jacket….that Ponte knit is like steel….it will last forever.

    2. Judy S. in Mass

I think it also looks fantastic with the striped dress in the chocolate combo. Love that jacket!

      1. Rita Conley

I agree Judy S. and I also intend to wear it with A233189 Ikat pull on skirt. I am waiting for the new suede and knit jacket to go with the cocoa striped dress as I have loved the black on for the past 2 yrs. Louis is ” one stop shopping” !

Whisper Knit pencil skirt? WHISPER KNIT PENCIL SKIRT!!!! I’m already in for the red coat, but I’m thinking how stunning something in EMERALD would look over this…

  9. Kate

Just add a red coat (!!!), boots, and off you go!

Darn…I thought I could pass on the Violet since I have the Purple t-neck, but with the new WK skirt ordering the Violet is a must.

  11. Carol

I’m so excited about the WK skirt! Will this be the same cut/silhouette as the every needle rib skirt A09484? I love that skirt but am looking forward to having one that contains no wool. You’ve made us wool sensitive ladies very happy.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol……….Yes……the skirt is basically the same as the A09484…..just in the WK.

  12. rae

Gorgeous, Louis! It all looks so ‘regal’. Will there be any other WK styles in this color?
Thank you for the sneak peek – you know your natives are getting restless!!

    rae

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear rae…..yes, there are at least 3 to 4 styles in every color….so there will be more in the violet…..I think it’s the peasant sweater????

      1. Kristen/spagal

Hooray! I can’t do T-necks but love this color!
