“A DAY IN THE CITY”

ice skating

What’s a day in the city without stopping by Rockefeller Center and looking at the magnificent tree? We walked up and down 5th Avenue, [tons of people], looking at all of he Christmas windows. Unfortunately, I have to say I was not impressed. Saks has a series of window with White Yettas, but after seeing two windows my impression was after you’re see one Yetta….you’re seen them all. Bergdorf had a front window in all BLACK devoted to Halloween? A pagan Holiday on Christmas??….The meaning of which  went right over our heads…..we obviously missed the point. The winner, for us, was Harry Winston….or was it Van Cleef. don’t remember…..whichever it was beautifully done. Lots of greenery covering the entire building and all shapes of huge “diamonds” outlining the buildings window and doors………….Lot’s of shopping………………all in all a fun, but tiring day.

Thanks for the great pictures, Louis and Jac! And thanks for the heads up that we don’t need to go to New York this year to clothes shop. It’s nice knowing that to get the best, all we have to do is wait for you on the Q. I hope you have some beautiful spring jackets this year! I’m looking for some new Louis this spring!

I am sorry to hear about the disappointing windows. I’m headed to the city Monday for the week! Lots more to see….can’t wait! Merry Christmas Louis, Jac and the “kids”!
