June 17th Show Details!

Hello Everyone,
It’s June 1st and, as promised, here are the details of the garments that will be shown on my June 17th Show. The show times are 5AM with Laura Kobar. This will be the first time Laura and I will be working together. 10 AM with Mary Beth, and 3PM with Sandra. This is my last summer show of the season and we start Fall 2011 in July!!!! I have to say, I think I have saved some of my most favorite things for last. What I especially love about this show is…….you will see how effortlessly it works with many things you have already purchased. Pencils ready!

The Reorders:

1-A210016, is the leopard print. cotton sateen blazer, the colors are Black/White, Black/Turquoise, Black/Lavender and the new Black/Sage. The sage crop pant works beautifully with the new sage jacket and I will be showing those two pieces with the sheer black safari shirt, A214117…..it looks incredible. I will be showing the lavender with the frosted lilac tank with the tiny ruffle, A213625 and the new tiered flounce skirt  in black A215166…..that’s taking three different shows and putting  the pieces  together. The turquoise will be shown with the white “Kate” shirt and a pair of  vintage ivory cotton Linea pants. The black and white will be shown with a red tank and the black boho. Four totally different looks.

2-A199793, is the Navy/Blue mosaic print, boho skirt. Many of you have already received this new coloration and have said how much you are enjoying it. I thought it was the perfect follow-up to the black/gray and cinnabar. I am showing the navy/blue with the chambray blue “Kate” shirt and a very sporty luggage color belt with brass findings….very RL. I am also showing it with a vintage Linea pale blue bodysuit and the A214878, ivory zip front jacket from the last show…..again belted. You already know how great it looks with the blue cheetah cardigan and or blazer. It looks casual and chic! The black/gray will be shown with the infamous ribbed sweater set in ivory. I will have the cardigan tied over the shoulders and around the neck…very modern, very cool!

The New:

The “Chain Print Group” I saw the sneak peek pictures…..all I can say is , if you loved the print from those pictures….you are REALLY going to LOVE  it when you see it in the show….likewise, if you were on the fence from the pictures, wait until you see the presentation. I personally didn’t think the pictures did any justice to the clothes, but I LOVE the print and the styles it is coming in.

3-A215177, is the chain print blazer. It is a one button blazer with 3/4 length sleeves and turn back cuffs. It has two pocket flaps, but the pockets ARE IN THE SEAMS!!!!!below the flap. Please, if you see the seams are slightly open, don’t return the jacket without checking to see if it is a pocket first….LOL. The front 0f the jacket is lined to give the jacket a clean finish, but the back and the sleeves are not….to keep it cool. This is a pure designer finish! You would be surprised to know how complicated it is for the sewers to finish a jacket this way. It would be easier for them to line the whole thing . All of the styles in the chain print have a specially made, hammered gold button. The jacket has one large button in the front. The colors are Ivory/Gold, Pink/Gold, and Blue/Gold. The pink is a new pink and is more of a carnation pink and not the Perfectly Pink. The new pink is a little bluer than the P.Pink. The blue is a bright navy and could easily be called a Cobalt Blue. The colors that I would recommend  being worn as bottoms  with these jackets are…ivory and chino as in the “cargo pant”, navy, yellow as in the new A215166, tiered skirt and Lt. Tan and White which will be avail. in the new long pebble crepe pant, A215175. I am sure you will find many things in your closet already….like jeans….that will work with all three color combinations.

4-A215185, is the chain print pencil skirt……..fabulous……it is instant HOTHOTHOT….even before you put it on! What can I say….put it on and be prepared to get whistled at! There are so many ways to wear this skirt…. the matching T-shirt with the gold piping, A215689, the matching chain print lawn, short sleeve shirt, A215159, are just two….then throw the matching blazer over the whole thing…WOW. The “Kate” and Robyn” shirts look fantastic with a gold chain belt or two, The new cardi and tank…great! The ivory T with the zipper from the beginning of the season…. on and on and on. This is pure summer fun and don’t be afraid to play it up with lots of gold accessories…..a bag, a sandal, a belt and lots of gold chains. Gold framed aviator sun glasses with dark brown lenses look fantastic.

5-A215158, is the cotton lawn chain print shirt. Cotton lawn is a very light weight and almost sheer, but not….fabric. At the turn of the century, women wore long summer “Lawn” or “Tea” dresses made out of cotton lawn in the late afternoons…..that’s when things were so civilized and women changed 4 to 5 times a day!…… The shirt is supper COOL and comfortable. It has a classic shirt collar, “young” short sleeves, body darts for a little shape and the “signature” hammered gold shirt button. All of the “hip” young girls, in the 70s and 80s, used to wear VERY fitted cotton lawn shirts with short shorts and mini skirts. It was a very popular look in the south of France and Italy at all the resort towns……I thought it was time to bring them back!. I will be showing the blue shirt worn open as a little shirt jacket, over the matching blue T with the gold piping and the blue chain print skirt. It is the perfect little cover up for those HOT and HUMID days that are already here and are sure to come in the months ahead. Tie the ivory shirt at the waist over the ivory cargo pants…with the pant leg rolled up…. and a great pair of espadrilles! All the gold trims on the pant look great with the print…..or….wear the pink  chain print shirt with the pink chain print  blazer and the new light tan pebble crepe pant…very relaxed and sophisticated.

6-A215181, is the cotton/span T shirt with the stretch gold piping around the scoop neckline and sleeve hem. The colors are blue/gold, pink/gold and ivory/gold. These match the chain prints perfectly and if you are picking up the print….these Ts are a must have. However, on their own, they are perfection and will give a lift to anything you already own. Wear the blue with a pair of ivory pants, Capris, skirt or shorts, a gold belt, gold chain jewelry and you are ready for any occasion, Wear the ivory with the the ivory cargo pant and the ivory chain print blazer and you have effortless chic…….simply pair the pink with the pink chain print skirt or a solid skirt…. like the white peasant boho with the ruched hip band and you are ready for work or a dinner out. If you own any of my cotton/span Ts…..like the one with the mesh inserts ….you know what a beautiful quality this fabric is…Wash and wear…perfect for travel.

The CHAIN JEWELRY

I know they are already delivered to QVC….I believe the first time it will be available will be during my shows. I do not think it will get any air time but I will have it on as many models as I can get it on with the few pieces I have to go around, and  I will always point it out to you. Let me discuss my point of view about costume or designer costume jewelry. Basically “Fake” jewelry was started when wealthy women were afraid to wear their extremely expensive jewels for fear of being stolen….so  the jewelers, Cartier, Tiffany etc. created copies or”paste” jewelry  to look like the real thing. Coco Chanel, with an extremely creative jewelry designer name Verdura, created faux jewelry or “costume” jewelry to show with her collections…..it had not been done before in any commercial or significant way. Ropes of pearls, and jeweled cuffs became her trade mark…all created by Verdura. Verdura jewelry still exists and is sold today…… long after his death….. and the jewelry is more beautiful than ever. They had a long and wonderfully creative relationship together. I tell you this story because I want you to know I believe in good quality costume jewelry. For years at Anne Klein I refused to show with the AK jewelry on the runway because it was JUNK and I would not show junk with my clothes. The company who produced the AK jewelry asked me why I wasn’t showing the jewelry that was made for me from my sketches! I told them the interpretation left much to be desired and if they wanted me to use the Anne Klein jewelry they were going to have to make a much better product. The gentleman in charge of producing the AK jewelry left and I was “given” a young man to work with on future projects…..he promised he knew what I wanted and would give me what I asked for……my hopes were dim. When I had my second  meeting with him to show me the firsts samples….I was blown away!!!!! It was gorgeous!!! Where had he been all of those years? Anne Klein Couture Jewelry was born and I never showed anything but Anne Klein jewelry after that! We had a long and happy relationship and created incredible jewelry for many years. Matt is still a good friend! I believe in good quality costume jewelry and I refuse to sell anything I do not believe in or would not have my wife wear. I do not understand the amount of money that women spend on junk! I would rather see them buy less….but….buy quality! It will last a life time and many, many of the pieces I created for Anne Klein have become collectible. I never understand when some women say, “that is so expensive for costume jewelry”. Good quality costume jewelry is made like the real thing, and good workmanship and materials, like anything else, costs more. My jewelry is all GOLD PLATED, not gold tone. I use beautiful glass pearls…. not plastic with a coating that peals off after a while. The price also depends on the number of times the pieces are dipped in gold. There are hundreds of little things that separate a good piece from the abundance of ordinary pieces out there in the market place. Of course, I understand there will always be a bump in the road and these thing are made by human beings so once in a while a mistake will pass, but the intention is always for perfection. I would rather not offer any jewelry, than  bring you an inferior product. What’s important to me is that I like it and that I am proud of it…….enough pontificating…….now for the jewelry

J159965, is the gold chain necklace which consists of three rows of gold plated double links. The longest adjustable length is aprox.21 1/2 inches, and  the shortest length is aprox. 19 1/2 inches.

J159966, is the three strand gold plated bracelet. The shortest length is aprox. 7 1/2 inches and the longest length is aprox. 8 1/2 inches

These are any time any where , spring /summer/ fall/ winter pieces. I think they are beautiful and are sure to become collectibles too!

7-A214008, is the ribbed V-neck cardigan……a classic….a sweater to be worn all year long. I would say buy your normal size, or if you are in between sizes…. because it is a rib….go up one size. The colors are navy and ivory. This is a classic piece and…..is pure class.

8-A214007, is the matching V-neck ribbed tank. With the cardigan it is perfection….on it’s own it is a great layering piece for under jackets or even over the “Kate” shirt as a vest. Wear the chambray blue “Kate” shirt, navy tank, and ivory pants…..very Hepburn …very Gatsby. I would suggest to buy your size, but again, if you are between sizes go up one size.

I do not know if these will have air time as they are “Essential” pieces and essential pieces are usually sold exclusively on line only, but I will be featuring them in the show so you can get a good look!

9-A215188, is my chambray tunic. Chambray is a type of weave or look not necessarily a specific fabric….i.e. there are cotton chambray and there are silk chambray fabrics. This is a poly/rayon/span chambray and the weight of the fabric is similar to but lighter than my poly/rayon/span pants and pencil skirts. This tunic is sleeveless, has a ballet neckline. It has a high fit and then has an A-line shape ….it is unlined. It is very 60’s….think Twiggy. Many of my petite ladies can wear it as as dress. I am showing it with my legging and the matching Capri chambray pant. The fabric, like all chambray fabrics, has a two tone effect….so it looks like white is woven with the color. The colors are Blue and Green. It’s a very fresh, clean look. It looks great with the chain jewelry and the ivory cardi tied over the shoulders.

10-A215189, is the chambray Capri pant. I love these because they look so cool and fresh. I am showing them with the white “Poet” shirt….super cute, the cardigan and tank, and the green Capri with the navy hydrangea jacket…..which gives the the print a whole new look. They have a zip front, a partial elastic waist band, pockets and are unlined for comfort.

11-A215190, is the sleeveless dress. Years ago I did a Linea tunic in a linen/rayon blend in red orange, black and royal blue, that many women loved and asked me to do again. This is my new version. It has all the details of the tunic…. shirt collar, button front and set in band pockets. Again, the fit is high and then As out over the hips. The colors are Green and Toasted Almond. I will be showing it as a dress and as a tunic. The Toasted Almond looks fabulous over my coffee bean legging…..leave a few of the bottom buttons undone….wooden necklaces and cuffs, again brown aviator sunglasses and it is a great way to look.

12-A215172, is the PEBBLE CREPE shirt/jacket. I say shirt/jacket, because depending on the time of year and the weather it can be worn as both. It has a stand collar, button front, two breast patch pockets with flaps and buttons , a shoulder yoke and 3/4  length sleeves . For lack of a better description, it is soft military dressing. The colors are Light Tan, Aquamarine, and White. The aquamarine shirt worn as a jacket looks great worn over the crinkle crepe top [to come],  the aquamarine P.C. pant [to come] …… for a complete tonal look. The light tan shirt with the matching pant gives the look of a jumpsuit and is a perfect compliment worn with the natural cheetah print blazer. The white…. I will be showing as a shirt worn over the new black tiered flounce skirt. The shirt will be worn out with a narrow black patent belt and the black flower [from my fall black velvet tunic] tucked into the belt…..soft military dressing at it’s best….a surprising and unusual combination.

13-A215175 is the PEBBLE CREPE pull-on pant. For those of you who love this fabric, these are a must have summer LONG pant. The colors are the Light Tan, Aquamarine and White. The white is the only color that is lined. These pants have pockets….therefore, I suggest if you are between sizes….size up. Even though the white pants are lined…..you can still see the image of the pocket and for some of you this isn’t a problem….for some it is. If it is a problem for you,I would suggest taking them to a tailor…..even the one at the dry cleaner will do. Have the pocket sewn shut and remove the pocket sack….problem solved. I realize that this is an added expense, but if you really love the pebble crepe….it’s worth it……and again, that is only if it bothers you…….this is something I expect with white pants that aren’t made with a heavy thick and inevitably warm fabric. The aquamarine pant and the aquamarine faux charmuse shirt from the last show look fantastic together. I can picture  a woman wearing it on a Caribbean island…. at sunset…. at the open air bar, sipping drinks….. with lots of lit torches to light her………….preferably my wife…LOL. Honestly…it’s a great way to look.

14-A215163, is the crinkle, poly georgette top…..same signature fabric as the BOHO. The neckline and sleeve of this top is very similar to the A213616, the knit top that came in black and latte. It has the elastic neckline and cap sleeve with the elastic hem. The body is straight and comes with a self fabric tie belt. The colors are Black, Yellow and Aquamarine…..yes, the aquamarine works with the pebble crepe pieces. The aquamarine, yellow, and black also look great under the A78354 , blazer with the french cuffs…..the yellow and aquamarine are almost an exact match to the jackets and the black looks amazing under the ivory jacket with the black buttons. Wear the top loose or wear it belted….add your own. It works casual with jeans  or dressed up….put on great accessories and you are ready.

15-A215166, is the crinkle georgette tiered flounce skirt. This skirt is exactly the same style as the Ikat print skirt from a few seasons ago. It has an elastic waist and is pull-on. It has two shirred flounces at the hem, and due to the fabric they are not bouncy ruffles that stick out….they drape beautifully…..The colors are the same as the top, Black, Yellow and Aquamarine. The black is a must have and goes with EVERYTHING!!!! I could have shown it a zillion different ways, but have chosen to show it with the Limeade tank with the ruffle and the Kiwi cheetah print jacket. I think it gives the cheetah print a whole new look…..feminine safari!. The yellow, I am showing with the ivory ribbed sweater set and lots of gold …….cool and sleek. I will be  showing the aquamarine skirt  with the matching top for a two piece dress look. This is the perfect summer skirt and a great addition to your BOHOs

Well, my dear friends….that was a lot of typing and I’m not that good a typist so it’s time for an ice tea and to play with my girls….my work for the day….is done! I hope you can find something that interests you…….have a lovely and well dressed summer!………..much LOVE, Louis

    Louis,
It’s Tuesday, June 8th, and I was just online at QVC on the Linea forum answering a request from a Linea Newbie who wanted to know our favorite Linea pieces…I begin listing my favorites and I included your Ottoman ribbed cardigans((A84333)…I bought the Peacock Blue and the Black one…but I never bought the wine colored one…and I kick myself to this day. These are the most beautiful sweaters…they look like they cost a million bucks…the workmanship is just gorgeous. The Ottoman rib is to die for…Today it is in the high 80’s and maybe the 90’s tomorrow. But this past Sunday it was in the low sixties. I was going to dinner and a movie, so I wore the peacock blue one over some tan slacks, a white tank, beige suede Tod driving shoes….I was stopped ten times by women commenting to me what a beautiful color and what a beautiful sweater. My friend Jody laughed and said it was beginning to be ridiculous I was being stopped so often. So just this minute, I thought I am going to ask Louis if it is at all possible to bring those sweaters back, in perhaps a navy, a charcoal gray, and a gorgeous camel….these sweaters are absolute gems…I can put this over a pair of black gab slacks or a pencil skirt and I have soft suiting with this gorgeous cardigan…I also just saw a photograph of me at a gallery with the the peacock blue and that color is spectacular…

It is such a wonderful feeling to put on a beautiful garment …it elevates everything and makes the woman wearing your beautiful designs feel more beautiful….thank you dear Louis and I sincerely hope we are able to get this item back…if not I have my peacock and black…lucky me:))

  2. Marcia

Just ordered the “berry” esstential cardigan and I am wondering if it is the correct “red’ to coordinate with the ivory chain print skirt ( maybe with the ivory t-shirt). If not- I will still have lots of other pieces that it will work with. Waiting for the 17th. PS- got my first Boho about 2 weeks ago and already ordered a second black to have in reserve. Lots of compliments!

    1. louisdellolio

Dear Marcia, The “berry red” cardigan will work beautifully with he chain print skirt in either the ivory or the navy. We called it berry because it is a deeper red as apposed to a tomato red….but it is a true red not a burgundy red [which would work also]. You might want to consider getting the matching tank which will give you another option for wearing the cardigan especially when Fall rolls around.
Enjoy your Boho skirt….I have a feeling you are addicted to them already. It’s a great way to wear a long skirt, and since you can wear it all year long it becomes a great essential……regards, Louis

      1. Marcia

The tank is a great idea. I am addicted to the Boho ,its in my weekly rotation!

  3. Celtie (cwshopper)

    Louis,

As always, thanks for answering questions. In planning for upcoming shows, your answers and advice are priceless. I’m looking forward to the 17th and had questions about a few items.

Should I order the same size in the new georgette tiered skirt as I do in the boho?

I have both the sage and the black zippered jackets and skirts. How would the new chain print lawn shirt look with those? I usually wear them as suits. Do you recommend a color?

I saw Jac in the ivory jacket and the sneak peak ivory chain skirt during your last visit. Of course she was gorgeous. But I haven’t heard anyone mention the chino jacket. Would it work with the ivory or blue chain skirt? Do you have a preference on which color?

Lastly, although is was 101 degrees here today while I was at the pool, I am looking forward to fall. It is my favorite time of the year and I prefer fall/winter clothes much more. Last year I ordered 5 of your whisper knit turtlenecks and lived in them nearly everyday but I did not get one of the cashmere silk ones. Will those be re ordered this year? If so, any new colors? If not , will the brown one (can’t remember the exact color name) match the mocha boho? I was thinking of ordering now so I wouldn’t miss out.

Looking forward to the 17th and thanks again for your time in answering questions.

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Celtie,
The answers to your questions are:
1- Absolutely, order the new tiered skirt in the same size you have ordered the Boho in.
2- I tried all three colors of the chain print shirt under the sage and black blazers. The blue, thought it is “interesting” would not be my first choice. The pink looks very good under each color jacket. The ivory looks great under the sage and under the black it’s a WOW!!!! So if you were to choose one shirt, I would say Ivory. The zipper trims with the golden print of the chains looks fantastic and I tried it on my mannequin with my new chain necklace…….OMG…it looks like it came right off the runway!
3- I am glad you asked this question. The chino jacket looks great with all three color skirts! It really depends on the look you are going for. All three combinations are very chic and each say something different. With the ivory you look very glamorous and quite sexy….very European and “Italian Vogue”. With the pink, it is mixing the feminine with the utilitarian…..the sweet with the masculine….very “Elle” magazine…..with the navy it is very “City Chic” and a great way to transition summer into fall…..very “Town & Country”. Which ever way you go ….you must get the matching “T” shirt with the gold piping. It finishes off the whole look and solves the problem of “what do I wear under the jacket”. It pulls the whole look together and makes it very “designer”.
4- The silk cashmere sweater is probably one of my most favorite items because it is pure luxury. It has been reordered, but they chose not to order a new color. I was pushing for the perfectly pink, but it didn’t happen, [the whisper knit is coming in perfectly pink this Oct.] The brown is a very deep dark drown. I would say the sweater is dark chocolate and the skirt is milk chocolate. They are different but look great together. If you wear them with a dark brown boot [suede or leather, high or flat heel, dressy to cowboy], you can’t go wrong. Throw a hip or waist belt, or not……a blazer or a jean jacket…..over it all and you can be dressed up or casual. I love these because they look and feel rich…..on the body they feel like heaven. The colors are very deep and the black it BLACK, BLACK. The black sweater is the one you would wear with a black sequin skirt, or with with your black Boho when you want to look and “FEEL” special. If it does well this time around, then, maybe I will be able to do it in a new color!
I hope I have answered all of your questions to your satisfaction!
      …………..best regards, Louis

      1. Celtie

Thanks Louis. You definitely answered all my questions and helped to clarify my list for the 17th. The chain print shirt in ivory has my name on it and both pieces of the jewelry were already on my list. I have a little more time to decide which color of the chain print skirt. Looks like that will be the big choice of the day for me. The coordinating tees were already on my list as well. I think I’ll go with the black sweater. I can’t wait to wear it and all the other goodies you will be bringing us for Fall.

Thanks again and my best to Jac and the girls.

        1. louisdellolio

          Dear Celtie,
If your going to get the ivory chain print….you may as well get the skirt in the ivory too. Together, the shirt and skirt look really good. A gold chain or narrow leather belt and all the accessories…look really hot.

  4. Carol

I’m back! With more questions-LOL! Do the butter hydrangea pieces coordinate with the new yellow skirt and peasant top? Could I wear the top with the hydrangea skirt or the hydrangea jacket with the yellow skirt?

Does the blue tank from the two-for-one set coordinate with the blue chambray crops?

    Carol aka crdlb

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Carol,
Yes….the yellows do work together. The yellow ground in the hydrangea print is a little paler than the crinkle georgette pieces, but they still blend nicely.
The blue tank from the two-fer is too purple next to the chambray blue pant…white works better……regards, Louis

  5. Anonymous

OMG, OMG, OMG 🙂 I’m looking forward to the June 17th show!!!!! I want to get many different pieces, especially the full-length pull-on pants… and MUCH MORE!!!!!!

  6. Carol

One more question, Louis. The poly/rayon/span of the chambray pieces–is this a fabric that you have used in any other previous styles? I’m having difficulty picturing this fabric. Is it similar to your stretch crepes? Maybe similar to the pearl button jacket crepe? Or is it a knit?

    Thanks!

    Carol aka crdlb

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Carol,
This is a new fabric so I have not used it before. It is similar in weight to my poly/rayon/span pants that I have done in ivory, navy, black etc., but it is lighter. This fabric has an end on end effect, which is achieved when a white yarn is woven with a color yarn giving a subtle 2 tone effect. I am sure you have seen chambray shirts in cotton or linen. This effect of two tone on this fabric is achieved through the dying process….one yarn stays white while the other yarn takes the color. The end result is the fabric, which has a slight texture almost like a linen, becomes blue and white or the green and white…..
…….I hope that clarifies it for you….regards, Louis

      1. Carol

Yes, now that you say linen-like texture, I totally get it. I have a pair of those slacks that you are talking about. Thanks so much.

  7. Barbara in Virginia

Hi, Louis! Like everyone else, I am getting my orders together and eagerly looking forward to your next shows. A question, though! You said that you are showing the green chambray capris with the navy hydrangea print jacket. Does the green of the A213272 T-shirt also work with the green chambray? I would think that it would but do want to check. Also, does the bright navy of the chain print pieces work with your dark navies? Thanks so much! As always, Barbara

    1. louisdellolio

      Good Morning Barbara,
I hope all is calm and beautiful in Virginia. YES, to all of your questions. The green T looks great with the chambray Capri. I like dark navy with the brighter blue. The navy is dark enough to that there is contrast without the blues clashing……”see” you soon!……..Louis

      1. Barbara in Virginia

Thanks, Louis! Yes, it is finally calm here after yet another wave of storms. I cannot remember weather EVER being like this! I have the T in white and pink and see I will need to add the green. Am acquiring quite a bit of navy this year, after not buying any for several years. Looks like the bright navy will join my other pieces 🙂 . Can’t wait until the next shows! As always, Barbara

    2. louisdellolio

With your coloring, I think the blue will look great!

      1. Barbara in Virginia

Thanks, Louis! I do love navy but have gotten away from it for a while. Like you, I prefer my navies dark and inky and true. So many out in the marketplace are not true navies and do not play well with other navies. Don’t have that problem with yours! Thanks so much for that! As always, Brbara

  8. Celia AKA Tristan

    Dear Louis,

Your designs sound exciting. June 17 is taking its own sweet time getting here! I’m intrigued by the chain prints and still weighing options as to which pieces to get- I know I will have to get at least one jacket to go with my cargo pants, and at least one skirt…I’m sure I will change my mind many times as I mull things over.

I will get all three of the flounce skirts…I just love the ikat one that I have because it is so versatile and the length is perfect. Whenever I put it on, I leave the house with a real attitude! So bring ’em on. All three colors!!!

I am soooo excited about the piped Tee shirts and will get all three colors. When I was new to Linea I bought the yellow zippered jacket but the coordinating piped tanks, which were perfect, were gone, gone, gone. I did find an aqua one on Ebay but still longing for the yellow. So I will be ordering all three Tees at midnight on the 17th. I love the fabric you use with these, and the gold piping makes them especially appealing.

Of course I am getting the jewelry! How could I not! The necklace and the bracelet are must haves. Your notes about Chanel and Verdura were quite interesting and helpful. The reason I will always buy your jewelry is because of the style and quality.

I can’t wait to see the tunics and the pants. Louis, thank you so much for writing down how you are going to style the clothes. I always try to take notes during the shows, but it gets to be too much and I’d much rather watch and enjoy it!

Love to you, Jac, and the Furballs!

    Celia

    1. louisdellolio

      Hi Celia,
You should tape the shows so you can always go back it refer to them. I am so glad you were able to get the aqua tank on e-bay. I was disappointed that they weren’t reordered…..even though they sold out, the initial returns were too high to bring them back. The women on wait list kept them so there was never any inventory. If that is any indication….it’s a good idea to get your Ts early….they probably won’t be reordered either…..LOL…..Have a good one, Louis

      1. Barbara in Virginia

Hi, Louis! Just a comment here. That thing about returns seems like such a silly policy. It would be one thing if the returns languished to eventually go on clearance, but quite another when they are used immediately to fill Wait List orders. The Q moves in very mysterious ways that are often hard to comprehend. As always, Barbara

It seems silly to me also….that was the reason the medallion jacket wasn’t reordered last year. I am guessing, but it probably has to do with the cost of sorting and restocking the merchandise when it is returned….just a guess……………Louis

You would think that they would factor that into their pricing. No one ever likes to pay more, but IMO Linea is already under-priced. IMO they are cutting corners in such a way that they are greatly minimizing the “Convenience” factor in Q-V-C. And not just with this policy. In others, too, namely in the quantity of inventory. Oh, well…I am not running things there :-).

    Louis,
Everything sounds delicious…may I ask a silly question?…are your long pebble crepe pull on pants…just a longer version of your pebble crepe cropped pants? I ordered the cropped pebble pants in too large a size and they sold out and I never got a pairin my correct size. Now that I am sure of the size (based on the fit of the cropped pants), I just need to know if is the same pant design?

    Thanks
    Victoria

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Victoria,
First….that’s not a silly question at all. Don’t ever worry about asking me anything…well almost anything…LOL The crop pant and the new longer pant are very similar so you should order the size you wanted. My only caution is, and I don’t want to confuse you is….with the pocket and the pale colors you don’t want these pants to be tight in any way…..they look better when they are easy, like a drawstring pant. So, if the crop pant you had was very big on you, then size down one size…….regards, Louis

    Dear Louis,
I notified the Linea Ladies. There are an awful lot of 85 and 58 numbers. What puzzled me is usually when there are items that are coordinating, the numbers are sequential. The four items for the chain print group are not. I wonder why. I hope I will love the new pebble crepe items as much as I have loved the ones from last year, as well as the ones you already have shown in your spring collection. I love, love those.

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Rhoda,
I understand what you are saying about the sequential numbers and sometime that does happen…..sometimes not. The style numbers are given in the sequence the orders are written. It’s that random. I don’t see any reason you shouldn’t love the pebble crepe pant as much as the ones from last year, as I told my manufacturer to use the same pattern.Unless some sewer made a mistake….they should be very similar…Thanks for notifying the ladies about the numbers….sometimes I write, in this case type, the numbers in the wrong order….I may be a little dyslexic….LOL, regards, Louis

Dear Louis, Thank you for the speedy clarification. However, I thought the chain print pencil skirt is #A215158. You just indicated that the chain print lawn shirt is #A215158. I thought the lawn shirt might be #A215159. ????

    1. louisdellolio

      Hi again,
      A215181, is the T shirt
      A215158, is the lawn shirt
      A215185, is the pencil skirt
      A215177, is the blazer
A215175, is the pebble crepe pant
There are a lot of 5s and 8s, but I just checked each sample and the above numbers are correct.I checked the blog to make sure it was correct. Please let the ladies know there were some mistakes with the style numbers, but they are correct now…..thanks, Louis

Thanks so much Louis for the history lesson on costume jewelry – I love it and have worn it for years! I have some amazing, high quality pieces that I’ve collected over the years from a variety of designers and I get more compliments on my fashion pieces than I do on my “real deal” pieces! I got one of your pearl necklaces (the long one with the tubular gold pieces) and it is gorgeous – nice weight and versatile — I discovered a new way to wear it the other day – doubled it and tied it in the back with a piece of gold satin ribbon in a pretty bow — was a spur of the moment thing and worked! I’d love for you to create a Boho line inspired by those amazing pieces you use on-air — seriously drool worthy jewelry! In the meantime, I’m so getting those chain pieces — they looked amazing!

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Suzzeee,
I love what you did with the necklace. The golden ribbon sounds wonderful!
………..see you on the 17th….regards, Louis

  13. Rhoda

Too much to love. There are a few items that you have given more than one item number to the same item, and that have also been stated on the linea forum. Please clarify the correct item number. 1- the chain print blazer ( #A215177, or #A215157?) 2-the chain print lawn shirt (please clarify the correct number. You have mentioned two different numbers). 3- the cotton /span T shirt with the stretch gold piping (#A215686, #A215181, or A215689?) 4-pebble crepe pull-on pants (#A214008 or #A215175). Thank you so much. I am loving both cargo pants. Enjoy the summer we are having. My best to Jac and the girls.

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Rhoda,
Sorry for the confusion. The blazer is A215177, the T shirt is A215181, the lawn shirt is A215158 and the pebble crepe pant is A215175…..I have corrected the post….thanks for bring this to my attention. I can see all the ladies trying to preorder and telling the operator, “but this is the a number Louis gave me!”……I’d be in big trouble!!…..regards, Louis

All I can say is “Wow”! A plethora of riches! Just happy I’ve been in a saving mood lately so that I can splurge on the 17th! So looking forward to the shows. Best to you and Jac – Yvonne

Dear Carol, it is a pale soft pink and it actually closer to the perfectly pink….it is just slightly bluer while the p. pink is a little more peach in comparison. You would think they are the same until you put one next to the other.

  16. gardensla

The ikat skirt is one of my favorites so will be buying this in all colors! And, of course, the chain skirt, the sweater sets, the new jewelry….great pieces to bridge summer into fall. See you on the 17th!

    1. louisdellolio

      Hi gardensla,
I know you are going to love everything you have selected. You may want to consider the matching top to the skirts. In the crinkle georgette…they are wonderful….they can be worn off the shoulder or not and look great with many things including a jean skirt or jeans and heels. Have a good day in LA!
      ……….regards, Louis

  17. Chris/Jazzmom

Or does the pink look closer to the ruched tank that was shown with the hydrangea prints?

    1. louisdellolio

Much paler! It is much closer to the perfectly pink….just a little bluer.

  18. Carol

Mercy, Louis! It’s hard to wait for these to be shown, let alone arrive. It’s going to take two weeks to make all my decisions. If there was room in my closet, I’d get them all. My husband is already protesting that I’ve taken over a third of his closet, and I’m looking at his shirts right now seeing how many I can get rid of without him noticing!

There’s not one item on your list that I’m not getting in at least one color, and several, like the pants and the tees, I’m getting in all the colors.

One question about the pink–is it close to the color of the pink tee with mesh inserts? Or maybe like the color of the knit tank that matches the medallion set?

Looking forward so much to June 17–
    Carol aka crdlb
