“THE NUTMEG WK LONG SKIRT”

new TN2

After all the Whisper Knit styles that I have designed over the years….it is only a natural procession that a long skirt would not be far behind. A257384, is the style number of the WK skirt and it is already avail. for ordering. Actually, it already has five reviews and they are all FIVE STAR. Above is the NUTMEG SKIRT…….Why NUTMEG? I am a strong believer in a column of color to elongate and slenderize. Since I have already offered the NUTMEG DRAPED FRONT CARDIGAN, A257376, and the NUTMEG TANK, A237404….plus the ZIP FRONT CARDIGAN coming on my next show……I thought this was the perfect moment to offer the skirt in some fabulous colors. The fact that the WK SCARF will also be offered in the NUTMEG is an added bonus to complete any look……So….why am I showing it with a color TN….because you need alternatives to wear with a NUTMEG skirt, and so many women are afraid or confused or just don’t know how to combine color and feel secure. It really isn’t difficult and will give your wardrobe so many more options. Above, I am showing the new TN, due in Sept, in the PEACOCK BLUE [no questions please….it will all be revealed to you before it becomes avail]. As I say you can make any two colors work with the right accessories. In this case Amber beads [working on them for spring], a russet Lizard belt, thank you e-bay, and the NUTMEG SCARF, coming your way. Nutmeg is a real autumn color….a molasses, a deep caramel color, and it works beautifully with other colors such as walnut, mahogany, aubergine, claret, magenta, purple, mallard, turquoise, hunter green, moss, forest, olive, charcoal, ivory etc……and of course BLACK. So nutmeg isn’t as limited as you first might think. All you will need are a pair of black or brown boots……Of course if you have an extensive boot or shoe boot wardrobe…..like cowboy boots or riding boots or luggage boots….you will have many many ways to accessorize. Remember if you choose to wear a shoe boot….LINEA TIGHTS are a must………………………….enjoy…………………….much love…………………………Louis

I gasped out loud when I saw these two colors.. and the beads!!

You manage to convince me almost every time that a color that really is out of my comfort zone is actually PERFECT!

    Thanks as always.

I think we can both agree you have to broaden your comfort zone…..maybe out to the moon!

    Dear Louis:

Do you like the Mallard Blue with the Nutmeg or is it too bright?

Love mixing colors & can’t wait to wear my Persimmon and Cassis this coming Fall.

    TIA

The M.B. is wonderful with the nutmeg

I absolutely covet those beads. So glad to hear they might be coming to QVC. Thanks!

Have the nutmeg skirt and it’s killer. Was thinking I could pass on the black, but as per usual, the sneak peek has changed my mind.

While I often size down in the wk skirts, I stayed with my usual small and glad I did. The extra room in the thigh area makes this easier to walk in that I think the xs would have been.

Thank you for these delicious colors!

Carol the black is an absolute mustmustmust. This is the perfect almost year round skirt and it will go with every WK and everything else you own.Don’t pass it….you will only regret it latter when your size is G.O.N.E.

I ordered it today. Along with the topaz shawl collar sweater from last year. Magically, one showed up in my size. I have enough regrets without regretting not buying a skirt! LOL

Love your new tn and I am drooling over the new amber beads! I ordered the skirt in black but might need to order the nutmeg as well.

I am 5′ 1/2″. Love the skirt, but can I hem this skirt?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The ladies have had good success hemming WK. Maybe some who have can give advise.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Actually that would be a very big hem, and the skirt would have to be cut. If you have a good tailor you may want to ask them first.

I’ve had the wk pants hemmed. My seamstress didn’t mention any problem. I’ll be taking three more pairs to her; she’ll have to cut quite a bit. She’s very skilled.

Do make sure it’s a good tailor. I had a problem when I went to a dry cleaner that my friend recommended for alterations. It’s never worth the few dollars you might save. That is a lot of hem. I’m 5’2” and I’d be walking on it.

NO questions??!! You are killing me! O.k., then I won’t ask what other colors you might have for the tn.
