“THE SLATE BLUE TUNIC/TOP”

……………….THE SLATE BLUE TUNIC/TOP, A267873, is one of my newest pieces to be introduced into my ever expanding LINEA LEISURE COLLECTION…..and it’s avail for ordering right now!…..This top has long sleeves, a Sabrina neckline, and an A-LINE SILHOUETTE, something that is not quite apparent in the QVC photo on the Linea site. There are many interesting details about this top, but what the NEWS here is…..the NEW FABRIC. First, I want to tell you what it is NOT….so if you have any preconceived notions about what it is….forget them! It is not flimsy or drapy or clingy, and it is not a light weight fabric in the sense that a rayon jersey or T shirt is. This fabric has SUBSTANCE. It is a blend of  80% polyester, 14% rayon and 6% spandex. Let me try to explain the hand of this fabric. I would call this fabric one of the new TECHNO fabrics. The feel is super smooth and soft. It does not feel like a cottony sweat shirt fabric… When you hold several layers of it…it almost has a spongy hand, though a single layer does not. It is the DOUBLE FACE construction of this fabric that gives it its’ structure. It reminds me very much of a late 60s early 70s Corregges or Cardin fabric. It HOLDS ITS’ SHAPE, so there are zero worries about showing any lumps or bumps. In that regard this is a very flattering fabric and shape for all figures. When this fabric is dyed the reverse side is solid, while the face looks heathered. The sleeve cuff and the trim around the neck is actually the reverse side of the fabric. The inside is a solid dark color……in this case SLATE BLUE, which is the actual standard that was given…..I am giving this lengthy explanation about this fabric, because it is NEW, and I don’t want anyone to be surprised, and feel it was not what you expected….I love the fabric….I love the way it MOLDS into a SHAPE, and I hope you do too….I know it will not be for everyone, but this is what is happening and the direction of all the newest fabrics….at every price level…..Prada made suits in a fabric with the same feel…The top has an easy fit that GLIDES OVER THE BODY, and there is lots of stretch to this fabric so the comfort level is high……To give the top a distinctly casual look I have used a “cover stitch” at the hem, and where the contrast cuff and sleeve are joined……Thought this top is meant for your leisure…it definitely has an edgier look”….It can also successfully be worn with a pencil skirt and tights, pumps or shoe boots, or a maxi and boots….A perfect outfit for work with a decidedly upscale casual meets office fashionista look……This is a cool weather top and perfect for when the first early fall breezes arrive……….The simple SILVER FALLING LEAVES necklace and EARRING adds just the right touch……………………………………………………………………………………………..

I saw this Slate Blue Tunic featured in the “InsideQ” magazine that I just received. I decided to order the Slate Blue, and am also thinking of the Plum. However, I’ll wait to see how the tunic fits me before I order another color.

I like this very much. There’s always room in my wardrobe for pieces like this.

No idea why I’m listed as anonymous, but this should have been WNYGal/April. I never do anything anonymously. :^)
