Morning Everyone!!!

What a morning!!!! We made it home safe and sound. Jac drove most of the way because I just couldn’t keep my eyes open and then when Jac was driving I couldn’t sleep????.
As I said “WHAT A MORNING!” At 2;30am I find out the stylist assigned to my show had a medical emergency and wouldn’t be able to run the show….PANIC TIME! Of course who are they going to find at 2:30am to come in for a 4am Sunday morning show! To make a long story short. Holly, one of the young ladies at the front desk, called the Operations Desk, was assigned to help. She had never done this before, so I gave her a crash course in how to put on a show….I felt like Mickey Rooney! Clothes still had to be pressed and I went over with her which models had to share which clothes, belts accessories etc…..it can be very daunting for a seasoned stylist let alone for a novice. Thank goodness Staci Dickerson, the tall African American model was there and volunteered to help with the show….what a trooper! She knows what needs to happen to keep a show running smoothly. So, we had a meeting with all the models, Angela, Kate, Chantal Maria, Brenda and my Jac, to let them know what was going on and everyone helped. The show went on without a hitch. I am extremely organized and there is little guess work.Every outfit is sketched out and each model has an accessory bag with a sketch of each outfit so she knows exactly how I want her to look. I always assign what model I want wearing which outfit, so a lot of the work is preplanned. It’s really a matter of getting the models dressed and out in time and make sure they are wearing the right outfit for the sell being presented. This was the second time I have worked with Jennifer and she is a lovely woman. Again, I want to thank Staci, Holly and all the models for a job well done………Now..on to PreFall and Fall. I will have a FULL schedule with lots and lots of wonderful new things. A whole new program of Whisper Knit Essentials in all new colors plus many of your favorites are coming back….and yes the classic cardigan from last fall is coming back too! The clothes are looking GREAT and the fabrics are gorgeous! I really can’t wait to bring it all to you!…………….much Love, Louis

I have some news. The A224875, new open work tunic and the leopard print jacket will not be on my Sunday morning shows. They have decided to hold them for some special event in July……..around the 16th. Of course, the Leopard print jacket can be ordered any time since it is a reorder and the new Yellow color is avail as many of you know. So far everyone who purchased it in the yellow….likes the color.. I have asked if it were possible to have the open work tunic avail for purchasing on the day of the show even though it is not planned to be on the show for those of you who want it NOW. I’m not sure that will happen…….sorry to disappoint anyone who was planning on getting it now, but it’s out of my control……………Louis

“JUNE SNEAK PEEK”

The June Sneak Peek is item number A224875. For June there is  one  new item. When I was deciding what should this one item be???????????, I felt it should be something unique and something fun for the summer…….hopefully something that you have nothing like in your wardrobe. I wanted it to be the “cherry on the top” of a wonderful spring/ summer season. I do realize that it is so unique it may not be for everyone, but for those of you who are always searching for that special something…..I hope you find that in this tunic. As you can see this is sort of a lace/fishnet paisley patterned top. It comes with it’s own poly jersey tank for when you want to wear it tonal…..but this top is way more versatile than you would first think. That is the reason I have posted two pictures of this top. The colors are simple….BLACK and OLIVE. I felt you all have many things that will work with both colors. In the photo above you will see the black tunic over a white tank and white Capri pants or the black Boho……….or the black tank and the black Boho. It would be perfect over a little black tank dress and sandals or if you don’t own a tank dress……a black tank, a black pencil skirt. or a black, short georgette skirt. In this picture I have the olive paired with my Chino crop pant that many of you own…..it would look really fun with the cargo pant too for an outrageous safari look. Of course, all of my olive pieces will work with this top……Capri pants, solid Bohos, the printed paisley Boho. the Black/Gray mosaic Boho, and all the Whisper Knit sweaters………Proceed to picture #2

“JUNE SNEAK PEEK PICTURE #2”

A224875 con’t…….In Picture #2 you can see A224875, worn  different ways from photo #1. We talk a lot about “beach coverups”……..this is the perfect one! In the upper right photo you can see it over the white tank suit….notice it is long enough to cover what you want covered. Don’t be afraid to MIX COLORS! wear a COLORED TANK under the black or olive tunic. In this photo,  I have shown the olive tunic over two olive bottoms…..the side zip olive Capri which many of you own and the pull-on olive jersey pant A221815. which is still avail. Some may call them “pajama pants”…… but…….they  are not for sleeping! They are light weight, fluid, feminine pants that are perfect for the summer and fall. This tunic also looks terrific with walking shorts…..for those sight seeing trips you will be taking this summer. This top gives women who don’t want to show their arms the opportunity to wear something sexy, and something that gives the illusion of bareness….but shows nothing. When the weather starts to change and the chilly weather comes back, do you have to fold it and put it away?…….NO!……… Pull out you olive turtleneck and jeans or any color or style sweater you want to wear under it…….even the KATE or ROBYN shirts will look terrific under this top. I told you it was more versatile that you would first have thought. Of course it is easy care and folds up to nothing, which makes it the perfect thing to take on trips. Wear it casual or wear it dressy….it WORKS and it will work for you. As I stated before…..this is not for everyone, but for those of you who are more adventurous, and are always looking for something unique that no one else has…………..I think you will be happy with this. I will see you all….I hope….on June 24th, from 4am to 6am, a two hour show……I hear the sighs now………well…..Jennifer and I….. Jac, Angela, Maria, Kate, Brenda and Chantal will all be there……..bright eyed and bushy tailed, [what ever that means]…………………visit if you can………………I’ll try to make it entertaining …………………..much Love, Louis

“JUNE SNEAK PEEK #1”

As many of you have already guessed, and some have already purchased and received!…….Sneak Peek #1,  A201016, is the Leopard print cotton sateen reorder blazer. The new color is………YELLOW/BLACK. The yellow in the photo is a little paler than the actual color. I would say it is a true lemon yellow………a great little pick me up. All of the colors are back…..the neutral SAGE and TAUPE, the TURQUOISE and the LAVENDER……and the bold WHITE/BLACK……… Look closely, and under the new yellow jacket I have layered the new “candy box” sweater in the black. I think that sweater really looks great with any of the Leopard jackets. I like the aggressiveness of the print with the femininity of the sweater……..it’s a terrific combination and makes a wonderful creative statement. Of course, any of my black skirts will look great…. the short double flounce or the new short tiered skirt with the pleated border both work and are light and breezy……and have wonderful movement. They are special skirts and certainly take the  total “look” up  a few notches. For long skirts, either of the pebble crepe skirts, the long slim or the two tiered gathered skirt, look terrific, and of course the “old” standby…..the BOHO! Under the sage jacket I have layered the SAGE SAFARI GEORGETTE SHIRT with a BLACK TANK…..[I LOVE the black tank under the sage shirt….you don’t always have to wear the matching sage tank]…..a black belt with a white pencil skirt gives just the right punctuation! With the Lavender jacket I have kept it simple with a white tank …..it could also  be the white Kate shirt or my Faux de Chine shirt, and a black pencil skirt. Do not be afraid to add a THIRD accent color with your accessories…..something BOLD……..TURQUOISE or RED always work with lavender….ORANGE and LIME too. Under the taupe I have the latte jersey top which also comes in BLACK. This is another INTERESTING layering piece…….and this top and the “candy box” sweater look wonderful when the jacket comes off! I have the latte top paired with the black pebble crepe two tiered long skirt. Any white or ivory bottom will work…..your sage bottoms will work with the sage and of course your white, black, gray and indigo jeans will all give you the casual look you sometimes need. Also, any pant silhouette will work…..from walking shorts , Capri pants, crops to ankle length….from  long slim pants to long fluid pants…. as my pull-on jersey pants…..which are nice and light weight for the summer. There is no guess work here….if you are coming back for a second or third or fourth color…..you know your size. If this is your first Leopard jacket I would suggest going with your regular size……unless the Linea Ladies have other suggestions. Always read the “click here measurements”. In this particular case, you have the advantage of reading all of the reviews the women have so graciously written to help you make an educated purchase………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

This is a timeless and sophisticated animal print that will NEVER go out of style……..you will have years of enjoyment……so………ENJOY!!……much Love, Louis
